A mod posted fake pictures of the upcoming RS2. :lol: The next year, the Tip.It staff opened a fake staff forum and it had plans to break Jagex's rules. :lol: It was probably a nod to the 2002 hacking incident in which "Bob Marly" opened the staff boards to the public. :D I remember another good signature maker named Alex. He was a member of the Tip.It crew, but he was removed for posting "rate mah sig or go to hell and die!" He ended up being banned for over a year. (A one-year ban seems harsh, but then again, he ban evaded several times.) I think some of the "imitations" of that joke only started a week or a few days before.. so when one looked at the date of the post, it was obvious what it was. Tip.it's, though, had posts dating from a month or more back. ;) And I remember that "get your post count up here" thread was maaany pages long (I forget how many exactly). His "rate me" titles were pretty much always some variation of the above, and I guess the mods just got fed up with it in the end (wasn't there some announcement in the media board about it too? "stop posting offending thread titles!" or something like that). His posts were always pretty annoying and offensive though, but man could he do some great stuff. He ban evaded at least a dozen of times throughout the years, posting his "selling sigs!" threads with loads of awesome work, telling people to contact him in-game because he would probably get banned again. :P I don't think he actually made anything from it though, because I don't remember seeing anyone using sigs that looked like his. I also remember when IDPUP tried to make a third (I think?) installment of the "Crafter's Guild" thing again, and I remember how he would just randomly add people to the usergroup without asking them if they even wanted in first. And so this guy called Unfaith (who was a pretty respected artist at the time) started sending out PMs, which were actually pretty extensive, and asked us to the leave the group. I don't remember if he said he'd re-start the group again, with him as the group "admin", or however it was. In said PM he also compared IDPUP to Hitler. He even had a signature with a picture of Hitler and IDPUP's name in it, which pretty swiftly earned him a perm ban. Shame I didn't save it because it was just stupid as hell. Unfaith came back some time ago (a year or so maybe?), but I think he left pretty quickly. The name "look_its_rob" rings a bell... somewhere. But can't say for sure how he earned the custom title. How do you "ban evade"? I'm not a computer wiz, and I'm not sure how perm bans work exactly. But I'm guessing they ban the IP. So the person just have to use some sort of proxy and alter their IP. I remember this especially because I then read about what he did to raise money for charity and also how loyal a person he was standing by his girlfriend which nearly made me cry when I read it. Some Jagex mods like Paul often lurked there! Also, way back in the day, some Jagex rules like multi-logging and character sharing weren't enforced all. People could publically post things like "Giving away my account" and get away with it. Even mods got into the act! Nowadays, if you did that, you'd be banned faster than you could say "Pass the pasta."
