It's called protect item. Search "armadyl" on Youtube, one of the first vids is a pking video using one.

i dont think it is that good because it takes like 3-5 seconds

 

to do 1 hit and if u hit a 0 then ur screwed because if the other guy

 

is using a whip, which is more accurate and quicker, then he could

 

have hit like 2 or 3 20's before u can hit again.

For low-medium level monsters it doesn't matter, gs's accuracy only makes up for it's slow speed on monsters with very high defence.

Not really... You can only do 1 special every 2.5 minutes and it still has a chance to fail.

 

 

 

Just say with the SGS special you get lucky, hit 40 and restore 20hp, in the time you spent waiting for the special you could have easily restored more than 10x that with guthans.

I've sold my Zamorak godsword and bought full Bandos (boots + chest plate + tassets), Zamorak Spear, Whip, Obsidian Shield, and a Berserker Ring.

 

 

 

I seem to still do well with that combination. Although I definitely say the godsword is an amazing weapon. It's very fun, but it's not worth what it is right now. If you have money and aren't afraid of price drops, get one. If you barely have enough and don't like price drops, wait.

 

 

 

The Bandos armor allows me to role play as a goddess. Giggles.

Evaluating the GS and comparing it to weapons like the whip is not as simple as saying one is X% faster and the other hits Y% harder. It really depends on a lot of different factors: PvP or PvM, defence levels, whether prayer is a factor, the type of GS and more.

 

 

 

In terms of comparing GS types.. here too it all depends. For example, in the dueling tournament testing I did, I often fought in tournaments with no food or potions and no healing between rounds. Here, the SGS is EASILY the best weapon in the game. OTOH, if food and healing are enabled, a different GS might be better, or even just using your specs with a DDS.

 

 

 

The Armadyl is worse than the Sara in most cases for a simple reason: the Armadyl gives a 25% bonus to damage but the Sara gives a *50%* bonus in healing. That's double the HP. Yes, the Armadyl can theoretically increase your chances of getting a fast KO, but it's also just as likely that you hit dreck with it, as I usually do. The Sara also has a "guaranteed minimum" as long as you don't hit 0, which the Armadyl lacks.

 

 

 

The Bandos is also worth mentioning; if you get a good hit it can end a duel.

Can you still do the quick attacks with the maul? (3 specs in half a second)

because obviously an obby maul popping up in lettering in the video is code for granite maul.

BTW I just looked over that video. Anyone who thinks it proves anything is far too easily convinced.

The results were close but the GS owned those last 3 and in the first battle the guy with the maul had like 15hp left. So I mean.... maul guy kinda lucked out.

first off, the first 1 is mostly why its expensive. 2nd would be that and why its overrated.

:twisted: Bah, Zamorak is my god of choice and I am getting the ZGS, no matter what. I don't even know who Armadyl or Bandos are pffft. :mrgreen:

No one mentioned a place where the AGS truely shines. World 6 Bandos. Spec haxing 65+s can insure that you get the kill. I'm not saying this justifies the 100m+ price, I don't have the AGS myself. I'm just saying that this is one advantage AGS has over the other 3.
