Assassin1357
With the recent updates I have found my self not really wanting to play Runescape anymore. I havent played for over 1 month now but was going to start again in January. I played Runescape to hang out with friends and my cousin was really one of the main reasons. But now that I cant give out free gifts to him or my friends I do not see much point for me to go back. It is like Jagex is taking out all interaction between players with the trade limit and the GE. I think that the trade limit could be taken away for people that have been friends for a month or more. That seems like quite a reasonable idea. Please do not turn this into a topic saying "Get over it" or "Learn to Deal with change". This is my decision and unless Jagex makes some amazing change I do not see myself playing anytime soon or ever again. I would like for you to share your opinions on the updates and how they effected you.

XxTearGodxX
I will not be quitting, I have faith in Jagex and believe they will work hard to fix and adjust these updates to everyones likings.
Enipeus
i'll wait to see exactly what its like.
vilageidiotx
This trade restriction will be changed or patched somehow i'm sure. Most the serious players are not keen on the idea, and jagex is a company, not a goverment. Some people are like slinkies, normally they are dull, but they always give you a smile when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Sbrideau
Jagex themselves have said that it cannot go any further on that side, the next updates will always be good for the players, they have said. As for me, I kinda like most of those updates.
firsttsurugi
I played Runescape to hang out with friends and my cousin was really one of the main reasons. Really? If I quit (which I'm NOT), it would be because of my cousin. Why did I introduce him to RS? WHY? :wall: :wall: Currently will be using my Oni Tsurugi account to attempt to get 99 on all free skills without spending any gp, just for the sake of doing so. Kaphias
I'm not quitting, for the sole reason that Runescape is still fun, like icecube said. Actually, in my eyes RS is the best it's ever been. 8,325th to 99 Firemaking 3/9/08 | 44,811th to 99 Cooking 7/16/084,968th to 99 Farming 10/9/09 | Runescaper August 2005-March 2010Tip.it Mod Feb. 2008-Sep. 2008 | Tip.it Crew Sep. 2008-Nov. 2009

And I cant begin to think how much money I have given him but now I probably wont be able to.
wild_goat_14
My clan keeps me here. I shall take my flock underneath my own wing, and kick them right the [bleep] out of the tree. dargonhuman
The updates have only affected me in positive ways (i.e. no longer worrying about pkers when mining in the Wild) or haven't affected me at all (i.e. I never did trade with players in the first place). So, yeah, I'm sticking around. Part of the Star Traks network. (^^Clicky!) Irony: An amnesiac rediscovering they have an eidetic memory.
mikehild
If these updates end up making the game less enjoyable to the point where it's not fun anymore, I will be quitting. For me, it's far too early to actually decided whether or not to quit. I am confident though that overall these updates are good, and will actually probably make runescape a more enjoyable game. Nabbagad
Well, They needed a quick fix, Stick around for another month and they'll touch up on the updates. This is true. Jagex had to stop all RWTs quickly and the recent updates is what they had to do to stop it. Now that these updates have taken place (or about to) and RWTs are gone, Jagex has more time to tweak these updates to find new systems that can replace the old and still be fun while keeping RWTs away! They said they want to hear people's suggestions and they are already planning stuff so just hang on and wait. As for me, I kinda like most of those updates. +1 Also, threads like this are an ufair reflection on people's opinions. People who are going to quit are far more likely to post here than people who aren't. It gives a skewed perspective. The actual number that quit can been seen by watching the number of players on the main RS page. A drop of 10% so far (which is probably mostly bots and gold farmers)
Arthu
Not quitting. I fully understand Jagex's decision and accept it. Also, the game has lost barely anything. I can still play it and have fun with it, kill people if I want, make money if I want to. 99+ all 23rd March 2012 - 2496 total 13th June 2012.9000+ dragon drops! jetset516
Why in the world would anyone want to quit? This was the best update ever.
ladycazzeh
Im not quitting. Im not keen on the loss of being able to gift things to my friends, or give a little lost newbie some cooked food and some spare Iron armour i have hanging in my bank, but I am sure I shall find a way to adapt and incorporate the new updates into my normal game playing manner. I understand completely why JaGeX have had to implement all the hard hitting changes that they did last week, and I suspect, had it not all been announced at once, there wouldnt have been as much uproar as there was. I hope that JaGeX will take some of the excellent Ideas ive seen around and work towards a solution to the parts that everyone enjoys like gifting and so on. decebal
I, for one, am not too affected by these updates, on the contrary, I actually like it, seeing that now it's impossible to log off to escape a revenant. Now I have a lot more in bank space, and clan wars is fun and safe.
