well, the common player is never forced to deal with any dangerous situations... I think everyone should test themselves at some point.

the economy is also crashing because of the updates. Nobody dies and loses items=no demand for items. Herblorists are out of buisiness as nobody wants to buy pots nowdays... just one example... same goes for food.

WTF? since when did "adventure games" have economies? People still want food and pots. And no demand for items?

Anyone who replies to this with "If you don't like it, don't play it noob" responses is one of the reasons the general online gaming community is getting a bad reputation. Make a better argument please. You sound like the people who, when they abuse a game glitch, try using the excuse " If it's in the game, the designers wanted me to use it".

If Jagex made the game truly hard, you'd all complain that you can't do anything without losing your precious robin sets/dragon chains/abyssal whips. They're trying their best, GWD is the closest thing you'll get to 'danger' so go give that a shot.

If you're title is true then I'm gonna be making a lot of money =P~

There is heaps of danger in the game, go out and find it such as soloing bosses.

And as said earlier, with gravestones, I'm more scared than ever about dying because the only time I have really come close to dying is when I lagged out and if you lag out at a boss than your items are lost forever.

I agree with you. There does need to be more danger.

2257AD.TUMBLR.COM

BUT in no way shape or form are you ever REQUIRED to go there.

Using that logic, this game was never "Dangerous" because no one made you go anywhere...

No Danger anymore, eh?

I recall you stating that it's impossible to lose your items anymore. It isn't. I was taking a walk around the level 30-40s wilderness, exploring the best ways to get away from those pesky reverants. A level 100 or so reverant comes and kills me (that plan of escape was not so good). Thankfully, I didn't have anything on me at the time, but I still desided to go visit my grave for alittle fun. I ran as far as I could, and walked the rest, and still didn't make it in time.

Now, seeing as members have even more territory to die in, some hard to get to, they probably have a risk of losing their items if they're alone. Now, i'm F2P, so I don't know this for sure, but I could logically assume this is true.

Point is, there's still risk, not as much, but it's definitely still there. Maybe you're not looking hard enough?

^The last great war of the Wilderness....

Yeah, I don't have a cool signature, so the MSSW3 sig will have to do....

I kinda agree that there really isn't much that is particularly dangerous or hard...

Not saying that I think it's worth ranting about

But I've been solo maging at dks for the last 3 hours, and I still have enough supplies to run into the middle of the lair with all of the kings on me and melee supreme if I wanted.

Oh, and I was hunting revenants in my best gear when they first came out. Killed a couple of the 126 ones without having to bank then got bored since I couldn't find any more.

Honestly, most of the danger in runescape is about gone....

-Wild

-Scamming ( with unbalanced trades) , yes that is good but seriously if you have ever been scammed, you deserve it for being that stupid. I've never fell for a scam.

-Luring, ^ same as above , just don't be stupid.

-gravestones??? LOL

-Home tele, always a free escape route

-world map..

Where is the risk? The only risk you can have in runescape nowdays is walking into bounty hunter with a lot of valuable items and a team of mindless 1 itemers gang bangs you.

What has happened to common sense??? USE IT PEOPLE

1. Let's see. A good percentage of threads about Revenants are about them being overpowered. Pfft, the Wilderness is more dangerous than it was with PKing. And don't even talk about trying to kill them in F2P.

2. There's no danger in real life! I'm not allowed to drive on the wrong side of the road! It should be made legal and not punishable if I kill someone else and myself doing it because stupid people deserve to be killed for their acts![/sarcasm]

3. "^ same as above , just don't be stupid."

4. Gravestones eliminates more than 3/4s of way to transfer items, it wasn't put there to eliminate danger of losing items.

5. Like you don't use it, on any of the spellbooks... Oh no! All the danger of leaving the Karamja Volcano is lost because I don't want to have to go to Draynor to get a teleport!

6. And the world map has been around forever, idiot. That's almost as stupid a reason as saying the mini-map creates a major loss of risk because you can see where enemies are on it.

Honestly, I see no reason to play this game anymore, anyone that honestly argues for the updates seriously needs to get outside of their little rs world. There are other games out there that the company doesn't treat you like BS.

I'm not even going to bother with runescape. It's a waste of time.

Eatrunearrow.png

I really wish I would've known about the no danger thing when I tried to do the latest quest. Kept answering wrong to the high priest and when I eventually was forced to do a retreat, I was killed instantly by a 20-10-20 coming out of his room.

Would've saved me the few million in GP that I lost.

All the cheap/free games with many updates treat you like crap =D

No danger in RuneScape anymore? Lol!

-Bounty Hunter: Piled and killed by a massive team in seconds.

-God Wars Dungeon: Well, I've never been there but go fight a boss!

-Kalphite Queen: Self-explanatory.

-Revenants: Look at all the rants about them being overpowered, they can kill you before they show up on the mini-map.

-Dagannoths: Self-explanatory.

-King Black Dragon: Good luck getting there in the first place, then try and kill it.

-All the different dragons: Some are in the wilderness, some soak up insane amounts of food, potions and prayer.

-Giant Mole:If you know what you're doing, it's no problem, but you gotta know where it pops up!

That's just a short list of the dangerous activities in RuneScape. I'm sure others can think of many more.

Oh, and about your comment on scamming.

You actually want scamming to return? And only for the "danger"?

Let me rephrase it for him:

There's no danger if you use at least half of your frikkin' brain. Of course you'll be in danger if you try and get killed, but in reality, unless you're thrill seeking suicidally, there really isn't all that much danger left in the game.

Just because there are knives in the drawer in the kitchen doesn't mean you live in a bad and dangerous neighborhood, tots.

[Oh, and the Dagganoth Kings are a joke people. Agreed with Sxq- they're not that dangerous if you know what the heck you're doing.]

[if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or

by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.]

Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

^Exactly. Danger is measured in opinion. Lemme tell you, when I first joined my friend told me to avoid the wilderness because it was a dangerous place.

It's expected that the more experienced and knowledgeable you are with the game, the less there is to worry about.

I personally have stopped using quest guides recently (or will, when I start questing again) despite the fact that there are many bosses and dungeons out there that can kill someone unprepared and unknowing of what lies ahead.

Imo, there are still some dangers...

If you die at the waterfall fire giants, there is no chance you can save your things. You lose the ammy, making a trip back in 5 minutes impossible.

Dying at Armadyl is also bad. Your partner would have to stand there for a VERY long time blessing your stone. 40 Armadyl kill count takes a while. I have 99 range, so don't argue that it doesn't take a while.

So all in all, only really large boss battles are dangerous, as a 2 man team might not be able to save everything.

Proud 99 Ranger since December 8th 2007

Proud 99 Fisher since April 2007

Proud 99 Mage since January 2006

Not so proud 99 Chef since 2006

Not so proud 99 Fletcher since 2005

Imo, there are still some dangers...

If you die at the waterfall fire giants, there is no chance you can save your things. You lose the ammy, making a trip back in 5 minutes impossible.

You can have more than one amulet. If I died there I'd simply run downstairs, withdraw an air staff, law runes, my secondary amulet and a rope. Teleport to camelot and run their, easily doable in four minutes. This is assuming that in a popular training area nobody will bless your grave.

Note that I didn't even say the fastest way to get there, a games necklace teleport to the barbarian outpost is faster; I just wouldn't have thought of it in a rush.

People keep mentioning the revenants. Yes to many people these are dangerous, to most however they will rarely be seen and are escapeable. There's also little motivation to kill these with their drop list.

The point about the revenants boiling down to: if there's no reward, nobody is going to take the risk (many wilderness spots have alternatives or for clues etc. you aren't there long enough to encounter them often).

The danger needs to be worth it. I've never been to dagganoth kings, kalphite queen and the only god wars boss I've been to I died to once and teled part way through the second trip. So personally, there's still danger.

-Bounty Hunter: Piled and killed by a massive team in seconds.

-God Wars Dungeon: Well, I've never been there but go fight a boss!

-Giant Mole:If you know what you're doing, it's no problem, but you gotta know where it pops up!

All of these are higher level dangers, the only exception being bounty hunter, where you are instead in danger through sheer numbers. With the wilderness however, it was dangerous at all levels, both high and low.
