Will the 138 CB cap introduce a new level of random event?

Currently, our random events are maxed at level 159.

 

 

 

3-10 combat = level 14 event (level 19 evil chicken)

 

11-20 combat = level 29 event (level 38 evil chicken)

 

21-40 combat = level 49 event (level 69 evil chicken)

 

41-60 combat = level 79 event (level 81 evil chicken)

 

61-90 combat = level 120 event (level 121 evil chicken)

 

91-126 combat = level 159 events

 

127-138 combat = level 170 events?

 

 

 

138 is quite a stretch from 126, 12 whole levels. Perhaps Jagex will put in level 170 versions of the 7 combat random events when summoning comes out?

 

 

 

PS - I've heard players who would normally get a level 159 evil chicken get a level 170 evil chicken during Recipe for Disaster, yet I've never heard of this... has anyone got proof of it?

EDIT: 1k posts, and the 170 thing is that the chicken's from rfd had a random combat level equal to the questers combat.

Don't you know the first rule of MMO's? Anyone higher level than you has no life, and anyone lower than you is a noob.

Seems pretty plausible, I'd think they'd do something like this. Maybe not right away, but within a few weeks.

Yeah, good chances of that happening. As for RFD, I don't remember exactly, but it might have been 170.. :|

yeah i think the evil chicken was a 170..but its been a while since i did it. but that really doesn't prove much, since it was like a mini boss

Depends on summoning really, and how much it effects combat. We know it's going to effect combat and combat levels, but not sure how much directly fighting vs a monster.

OT: Like the person above me said, I doubt someone would summon something just to kill the random. It's not like our attack and str and such will be any higher, so I don't know if they'll be raised or not. I'll have to see how much summoning familiars are used, since there is a time limit, but I don't think they'll be raised that much, if at all.

No, but even with 99 atk/str/def, we can still manage to kill high lvls as Jad (lvl 702). 170 is a walk in the park for most high lvls.

I think that it is plausible. However. It all depends on how summoning affects the combat triangle.. or hexagon... whatever. :XD:

i think summoning will work like a hyrbid magic/prayer (or simply put a prayer skill on steroids but at the cost of having to carry runes)

Random events are far from dangerous, unless your afk or trying to fight it, thats your fault. AFK is against the rules, and you can't complain if you die after trying to fight it. I mean, all you have to do is run a small distance and they go away

I'm sure they will do something like this.

 

 

 

IMO they should have allowed you to turn randoms off with enough qp when they implemented the trade limit. #-o

I usually use prayer when fighting randoms(chivalry/the 15% prayers so random people don't call me a wuss), so if summoning is anything like prayer, I might as well show off my cuddly squid for a few seconds to do away with a chicken. It's always nice to be able to show off high skills *waves spottier cape because I still can't wear my quest cape because I've been reading these stupid summoning topics instead of doing the new quest*

I think there will be higher level random events. Maybe it'll be really easy to those random events with summoning?
