least discontinued item -> price and looks

Featured Replies

hey,

sorry if the title is a litte confusing, litte hard to think of one.

talking about wieldable items.

from wich discontinued item are there least in game?(what do you think)

does the price has something to do with looks or rarity,

what percentage 50% looks and 50% rarity ,or 80% looks 20% rarity.

i hope you get my point.

No idea which rares are most rare, but I think that price has mostly to do with looks. I like the halloween masks, but there is no reason that I know of that my red mask is worth twice as much as my green mask except that most people think red looks better than green.

For me its looks > all

Christmas crackers, duh.

Hmm, I tried to put a christmas cracker on my head, but there's no 'wear' option ;)

I don't really think that a blue party hat is 3x rarer than a yellow, nor a red mask twice as rare as blue. Probably wrong on that, but I'd say the prices are at least 50% due to looks.

Bunny Ears IS GOING TO BE the rarest discontinued item in game if its not already.

All other rares can be traded, so more of them are going to get into the hands of newer players (of course after they get rich) however, bunny ears can't be traded and more and more of ear-owners are quitting. I my self haven't seen any one wearing them in about a year (besides my self of course).

Not true, I wear my bunny ears often when not in combat - my favorite costume is Bunny Ears, Varrock armor 3, Quest Cape, Sara Staff, White legs, etc.

Also, my other account which I log in once a year is a lvl 5 with no real stats or value, aside from his Bunny Ears and Reaper Scythe. Everyone always OOO's and AAA's at his uber low-level-with-rare-item-ness :)

Yeah, i saw someone wearing them yesterday and thought "wow, don't see those very often". While i can own a Santa or any of the masks anytime i want, I can never get bunny ears

Thanks to all those who have messaged me concerning a revamp of my Range-Slayer guide. Because of you all I will start rewriting it asap.[/color]

Guess I am glad I have my ears. I still think the crakers are rarer, unless all those people who are hoarding a bunch of them are real.

i don't see a lot of red partyhats so thats my vote.

I am pulling these statistics out of a hat, but I would say that its 80-85% rarity and 15-20% looks. I think there are more red masks than green. Someone earlier said they didn't think that red was 2x rarer than red. Well according to GE database red isn't 2x more expensive. Another reason I use those stats is look at Phats. Prices are so high b/c there are alot less of those than masks. I personally think the white phat looks better than blue, but thats just my opinion.

Partyhats 99% rarity 1% looks

Santas 50% rare 50% looks

Halloween masks 80% rarity 20% looks

2480+ total

Since all the masks were dropped equally and the party hats are evenly distrubuted from crackers it meant that in the early days of them being released it was the price difference between the colours of the rares were purely influenced by how they look (favourite colour etc.), but as they get rarer and they are lost/people quit with them there is less of certain colours in circulation which makes them more rare/expensive. There are a couple of exceptions like the pink phat dupe lowered the prices of them (forever?) but I haven't really checked up on the prices of rares recently, except for checking blue phat in the GE, that was a laugh.

Lowgravity, I want to be just like you. But...I never will be as 1337 as you. :(

I'd think that the Blue is the rarest of all the partyhats since back in the day it was the most common and was rarley duped during the Great Dupe. But as far as the rarest wearable rare out there I'd have to say the bunny ears since no more can come into the game unlike partyhats and most people dicth their Holiday items for bank space.

It's times like these I wish I had played on bunny ear day. I have a scythe, and very rarely see those around. I'm kinda glad they are untradeable, or I would have sold mine a while ago.

why would you sell it?

Things you can click on and thus consume, because of accidents. (Pumpkin etc.)

It'd be a rare...

I shall take my flock underneath my own wing, and kick them right the [bleep] out of the tree. If they were meant to fly, they won't break their necks on the concrete.
So, what is 1.111... equal to?

I wish I had bunny ears. :( Those own. Party hats, I think are mostly about rarity. White ones and red ones look better, imo, and I wouldn't be surprised if thats what most people thought. I think the h'ween masks are almost all about looks. (I have a blue one), and a few people have talked to me about it. Some have said they wanted a red one, and had no idea of the price. I'm pretty sure the masks are all about looks. :P Santa hat? There isn't a variety there, so it's price is pretty much all rarity. However, it also looks good, so people want it for the looks too.

The easter egg is the only other one. And those were recent enough that there are a ton of em out.

Although, is the left click (first) option on a Christmas Cracker opening it? That might count.

Man, though, I wish I played on the Scythe day...

christmas cracker, and then blue partyhat. I own both and I see these two items the least out of everything. lots of people have bunny ears but just dont wear them. and I don't think anything will become rarer than the christmas cracker.

id say 80% rarity and 20% looks

Christmas crackers, duh.

wow way to completely miss the point of this thread.
