July 18, 200817 yr I'm just as excited to see the attached trailer for "The Watchmen" as I am to see TDK. I've been waiting for TDK for such a long time, and "the watchmen" for almost as long.
July 18, 200817 yr Author Less then 24-hours til my showing, I'm hyped as HELLLLLLLL. \  \
July 18, 200817 yr I just got back from the midnight showing on the east coast of the USA Alright, let me start by saying this: Heath was never really one of my favorite actors. Like, he was alright, but I wasn't one of his fans. Although I haven't seen him in much, I figured he was just hyped up because of his looks. NOW! If he doesn't win an Oscar for this performance, it will have been stolen from him. That was...wow...just flat out incredible. It was definitely one of the best movies I have seen in a long long time. I'm not sure who's Joker was better (Nicholson or Ledger), but I liked Ledger's better. Nicholson's was kind of classy, with funny quips. Ledger's was very psychotic, and had an air of "dark comedy" to him. I also liked Ledger's costume better. I won't throw in any spoilers even if I have tags, but let's just say, it will be a long while until I see a better movie than this from this genre.
July 18, 200817 yr Just got back from the midnight showing. I loved everything about it, aside from replacing Rachel. That didn't feel right. Other than that, the movie is amazing. Go see it.

I agree. I wasn't sure if it was her acting, or the replacement, or that Christian Bale was just too [bleep]ing sexy that I didn't care about her  (I have a man crush on Bale). I think it was mostly her acting, which when in comparison to Ledger and Bale, was very poor.
July 18, 200817 yr Amazing movie. [hide=Spoiler]Anyone else here think that Joker rigged the ferries' detonators to blow their own ship up if they were pressed? I was thinking it all throught the scene. Sounds exactly like the kind of twisted thing Joker would do.[/hide] sleep like dead men wake up like dead men
July 18, 200817 yr What an absolutely incredible movie. Heath Ledger truly went out with a bang. =D> Listen to the mighty words of Bloodredsword. Tip it MGC Xbox live leader board!
July 18, 200817 yr Amazing. Saw it last night, the midnight showing, I loved it. Expecting a good life because you're a good person is like expecting a bull not to charge because you're a vegetarian.
July 18, 200817 yr Did the midnight showing as well! I think that the movie overall was amazing! Ledger did a fantastic job and I agree that someone will have to turn water into wine to steal it from him. Basically Christopher Nolan did the movie without holding back. IMO, he basically looked at all other directors and flipped them off with this movie and said, "beat that!" July 19, 200817 yr I just got back from seeing it, and even after being hyped up for it since last year or so, it far surpassed my expectations. I knew Bale and Ledger would be great, but Aaron Eckhart's performance as Harvey Dent really impressed me.
July 19, 200817 yr Perfect. There is no other way to describe a movie of this caliber. Absolutely Perfect.
July 19, 200817 yr Author Absolutly amazing in every aspect a film could be. Beautiful score, fitted the scene every time. PERFECT acting, Heath Ledger abosultely STOLE the movie. Several unforeseen plot twists and just general unpredictability (which the Joker highlights as one of his quality keys to success) makes a very fresh and beautiful story. Coupled with such awesome characters, with basically no CGI... I honestly regard this movie as a classic, and at this point, the best movie of the '00-decade (and it doesn't look like any movie coming out will top it). [hide=]The dancehall scene, scene where Batman interrogates Joker, and where Joker talks about how he and Batman will be doing this "forever" are my favorite scenes. The Harvey Two-Face scene was amazing too, a shame he died though. Would've been the perfect villian for the next movie...[/hide]
July 19, 200817 yr As everyone has said already Heath Ledger did amazing acting. I think it was the best acting I have ever seen. I'm not much of a batman fan but I think this is my favorite movie of all time now. Plus seeing it in IMAX was AMAZING!!! This is a must see movie. [hide=]I got so sad when Gordon died... he is like the best but then I was so happy when he didn't. I really want to know how the Joker got those scars!!! He kept changing the story. My favorite part had to be when the Joker dressed up as the nurse and then he was skipping out of the hospital. It was so funny.[/hide]

July 19, 200817 yr I saw the movie with two co-workers, The window scene was too much like the Mel film, The Patriot... It still was good! My pure's stats: str:70attc:35def:4range:72mage:70hp:70
July 19, 200817 yr Yeah, it was awesome. Really don't have anything to add to what has already been said here or what you have most likely heard elsewhere. All I'll say is it is currently listed as the #3 movie of all time on IMDb's Top 250 list, and I can see why.

July 19, 200817 yr All ready? Yeah, it's crazy. It was at #4 yesterday with just 4,000 votes. The way the top 250 algorithm works means the less the votes the harder it is to get on the list, so that it was on there with 4,000 would be impressive even if it was #250. That it was number #4 is just absolutely crazy. That it went up in the rankings to #3 the second day is unheard of. EDIT: HOLY [cabbage] It is now #1 on the IMDb's Top 250!
July 20, 200817 yr Just saw it last night with group of friends. Every second of that movie was amazing. Heath Ledger did so well, I prefer his Joker over the Jack Nicholson. I will definitely be either seeing it again or buying it on DVD/in a box set.
July 20, 200817 yr Author Look at the scores on Rotten Tomato. Man, I wanna see it again soooo bad....It was beautiful...

July 20, 200817 yr i'm not a big batman fan, but the saying 'a movie is only as good as its villian' really applies to this movie, and the movie is awesome. nudist hippy vegan elves who inexplicably wear leather.
July 20, 200817 yr It was a really good movie, but the amount of "best movie ever" comments around the internet and in real life is exceptionally irritating to me. I mean, I really enjoyed this movie, but when stuff gets over-hyped it makes me like things less. And it makes me look more for the bad parts of the movie (this one has many, many flaws, some of which are major issues). And when people say it should win best movie I just want to laugh. And when people clap in the end it makes me cringe. Really saps the fun out of stuff when I have to argue against a good movie because I feel I have to in order to bring people down to earth.
