July 30, 200817 yr I'm not really speaking quality wise; I haven't seen the movie. But it cost about 120.000.000 to make, and it cost 80 million to market. And in total it didn't even bring up 100.000.000. : ...what? the dark knight has made over $300,000,000 I think. Where did you get $100,000,000 from?

July 31, 200817 yr Just got back from the theater. I may not see a whole lot of movies, but the ones I do are always amazing. TDK was no exception. Just wow.
July 31, 200817 yr I should say I really enjoyed Harvy Dent in the movie too, actor did a really great job with him.
July 31, 200817 yr Just back from the cinema too, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. I was a Heath Ledger fan, and his performance was amazing. The Joker was insane and terrifying. It's the details that complete him, imo, like the posture and the strange licking his lips thing he does. I liked Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent alot too. [hide=spoiler]I only think they killed Two Face a bit too soon.[/hide]
July 31, 200817 yr [hide=]I only think they killed Two Face a bit too soon.[/hide] [hide=]He may not be dead. :) Remember at the end the only talked about the death of "Harvey dent" and "Harvey Dent" is dead, but Two Face may as well be alive yet [Locked up in the prison where all the criminals in batman go to][/hide]
July 31, 200817 yr Good film. [hide=Spoiler]I really doubt Two Face is dead. Batman never kills. So therefore, won't Two Face be alive? Best part had to be the Joker in a nurse's outfit. Seriously though, my mate is an idiot, he things Ledger played Harvey Dent/ Two Face, and that someone else played Joker -.-[/hide] Denizen of Darkness| PSN= sworddude198

Part of me wants to see him in the next movie but part of me thinks it'd be just fine if he was dead. I think a description I read about the movie explained it well. TDK was more about Harvey Dent's rise and eventual fall and less about batman or the joker. The Joker and to an extent, batman, were just causing chaos. I do agree (with an earlier poster) that the hospital scene was brilliant. Not only because the joker is damn funny in drag but how it showed how Harvey leaves everything up to chance.[/hide]
August 1, 200817 yr Just saw it last night, brutally awesome movie. "Batman Begins" is a good Batman movie but TDK makes it look like a morning cartoon show now lol. Best part was how depressing things kept getting no matter how hard cops/bat tried to make things better. Heath Ledger was incredible. You think you got an idea of how he'll act by watching the trailer, but you have no idea until you have seen this movie. Pixel sigs by me.Pixel Art

As he lost his footing, its more of a freak accident, rather than a murder. If the recent Two Face died, it would be murder, as Batman pushed him over the edge. Not by accidental killing. Still, I really hope he isn't dead, he's a villian I'd like to see more of (plus some other ones like Scarecrow, Penguin, Riddler and so on.[/hide] Denizen of Darkness| PSN= sworddude198
August 1, 200817 yr In two and a half hour I am going to see it. First I could wait to see it, but now that I'm this close I really can't wait. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
August 2, 200817 yr I read an article saying that one of the writers of TDK is nervous about even attempting a third movie, because he felt it would be impossible to top the second. Some possible villains for a third movie noted in the article were The Riddler (possibly played by Johnny Depp) and/or The Penguin (Philip Seymour Hoffman).

August 2, 200817 yr Imbd best rated movie...Top 250 Movies (Click) It's been in that spot since it came out, but it's dropping like a rock. Was all the way at 9.5. Give it another month and it'll be at 9.0 or less. "He could climb to it, if he climbed alone, and once there he could suck on the pap of life, gulp down the incomparable milk of wonder."
August 2, 200817 yr Seen it yesterday. Didn't get my hopes up too much. It was a nice movie. Heath Ledger played an awesome part, and when he was around the movie was always a lot more interesting. Heath Ledger's role is also the only exceptional part of the movie if you ask me. Other than that it's nothing 'special'. A good action movie, nothing more and nothing less. So why eveybody says this is the best film they have ever seen? I don't know. Maybe I am spoiled. But just look at the dialogue... August 2, 200817 yr I grew up with Batman myself(my dad has a lot of Comic books from his childhood, mostly Batman.) and wow.. that was the best portrayal of the Joker i've ever seen. Although i wish they would've made a reference to his Red Hood origin. It was brilliant, but the only thing that makes me mad is that the same people that made fun of me 2 months ago for loving batman and the same people saying I never heard of Batman before this movie. False fans piss me off.. -.- Thanks to all those who have messaged me concerning a revamp of my Range-Slayer guide. Because of you all I will start rewriting it asap.[/color] Formerly RobinHoodie.

August 4, 200817 yr Saw it this weekend, and thought it was pretty good. For a Hollywood product, it does stretch the boundaries of the genre of the superhero film. At a certain point during the film, I had the feeling anything could happen and anyone could die, which is rare in the genre. It made the Spiderman series look like a Disney product. Great acting jobs, especially by Heath Ledger. It's a pity about his talent, and I'm looking forward to seeing his very last acting job in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Still, it's not like it changed my life or anything like that. A good summer film. Definitely not worth the hype (in the list of the 250 best films? Come on!) Just because Heath Ledger died, doesn't mean being in that list or Oscars need be involved.
August 4, 200817 yr I saw it last night. It was alright, I liked the Ledger's Joker and I appreciated how it aspired to be a little more than a regular comic book films by trying to deal with a few wider contemporary issues (surveillance, terrorism etc.) even if they were put across in a preach way at times (the whole conversation between Batman and Fox had my rolling my eyes a lot), but at least it attempted to say something unlike most big budget blockbusters at the moment. I would say the film was worth my £5 but I probably wouldn't go to see it a 2nd time or buy it on DVD, a decent film but nowhere near as great as many have suggested. As for it being the IMDB number one film, I'd suggest that the film has been over-hyped by Ledger's death and that it has been great for marketing the film. Anyway in conclusion, it was better than most comic book films (which I admit aren't really my cup of tea) but it still didn't have the wow factor for me personally. He who learns must suffer, and, even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God. - Aeschylus (525 BC - 456 BC)
August 4, 200817 yr It was basically Heat in the Batman Universe. Except TDK lacks character development and goes a bit too fast for my tastes...it needs to be longer.
