July 20, 200817 yr My friend who saw it in imax on Friday said it's disappointing. I think that's the first neg review I've seen so far :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
July 20, 200817 yr I wanted to see this sooo bad.....but my girlfriend wanted to see "wanted".....what a waste of 16$......I'm probably going to see it tonight with a friend, I can't wait.
July 20, 200817 yr I don't care how good this movie is, there is no way that a superhero movie should be #1 on Imdb's 250 greatest movies of all time. It's the equivalent of taking a giant steaming dump on all of Hollywood's wonderful movie history. "He could climb to it, if he climbed alone, and once there he could suck on the pap of life, gulp down the incomparable milk of wonder."

I fail to see why a superhero movie is lower on the food chain than a crime movie or a romance movie. This movie shouldn't be number 1 for other reasons, however the genre a movie is in doesn't make a difference.
July 20, 200817 yr Such a wonderful movie. It's so dark and thought-provoking. Every bit of the movie was bliss. I kept fearing the end credits were coming up all throughout the movie, because I didn't want it to end. It makes it even more dissapointing that Heath Ledger won't be starring in the next movie, if there is another one. Wow. It's just so entertaining and satisfying physically, mentally, and emotionally.

July 21, 200817 yr The Dark Knight just broke the records for most money made at the box office on a single opening night and on the opening weekend, taking the first place spot from Spiderman 3. I don't remember the exact numbers, but heres the link to the article at Yahoo! News. http://movies.yahoo.com/mv/news/ap/20080720/121658682000.html Expecting a good life because you're a good person is like expecting a bull not to charge because you're a vegetarian.

July 21, 200817 yr [hide=**WARNING]Was anyone else surprised that they decided to kill Two-Face/Harvey Dent? I thought they would make a next movie with him as the villian. On top of that, it was a great movie. I was completely blown away by Ledger's performance! He scared the [cabbage] out of me when he was telling his story about how he got his scars [/hide] [If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.]
July 21, 200817 yr "Anyone want to see a magic trick?" Listen to the mighty words of Bloodredsword. Tip it MGC Xbox live leader board!
July 23, 200817 yr lol everyone in the movie was like "damn!!" when that happened  By far one of the best movies I've seen. Being 2.5 hours didn't hurt its chances at being one of the greatest moneymakers of all time.
July 23, 200817 yr I didn't mind the length, I kept not wanting it to end. :P It's great that such a crazed killer can both make the audience laugh and cringe in the same sentence.
July 23, 200817 yr Went to see it tonight, and I enjoyed every minute of it. My friend and me were the only ones laughing with the Joker his jokes thou. [hide=Here Be Spoilers]The part where the bad goon tells that 'the Joker replaced the voiced with Christmas lights' had my crying of laughter. I think Nolan said there wouldn't be a part three, so that kind of explains they killed of Two-Face. I was disappointed that nobody in the ferries pushed the button, think if that would really happen you'd always find some crazy dude willing to push the button.[/hide]
July 24, 200817 yr Bale said he would be willing to do a 3rd movie only if Nolan directed it, but I haven't heard anything Nolan said about another sequel. If they do make a 3rd one, it probably won't be for like 3 years, since Bale is still filming the Terminator movie, and he has 2 additional movies to film after that.
July 24, 200817 yr ledger's take on the joker was so much better than jack nicholson's. i dont think you can compare the two. nicholson's joker was too silly to be taken seriously. the joker is a deranged character and ledger portrayed that perfectly. anyone notice that he licked his lips every once in a while? damn. such a small, but brilliant habit to add to that character. i dont even know why, but it makes him more menacing. i would never have been able to think of doing something like that.
July 24, 200817 yr Christian Bale Arrested, clickie Bad news for a sequel :? May be put off for a bit. If there is another one I want to see the Riddler in it, idk why, just cause I think he would be cool. Anyways I saw it on Monday, it was awesome :D Forum Updates & Suggestions <------ Let your voice be heard!Forum Games <------- Coolest place on Tip.ItTip.It Forum Rules <------- Read them!

Yeah, I noticed that too. Everything the Joker did was incredible, in my opinion. Absolutely breathtaking.
July 24, 200817 yr HOLY [cabbage]. That is easily the best movie I've seen in a long time.. (on par with iron man, but they share the top spot). All the characters were brilliantly done, the action sequences were perfect and the suspense was held impeccably. Heath deserves the oscar for his performance, and naysayers will say its a sympathy win, but man was he brilliant. I doubt I'll see a performance rivalling that for a long long time. Everything about it was done to perfection. Also, I was like... Sloane you little bugger! you're not dead after all!... seriously does Morgan Freeman look exactly the same in every single movie he's ever done? Most actors look slightly different.
July 24, 200817 yr I can't wait to see this tomorrow. Has anyone seen the roosterteeth comic about this? it's pretty funny :P

I doubt I'll see a performance rivalling that for a long long time. Everything about it was done to perfection. I've had a lot of my friends tell me it's the best "sadistic role" they've seen, and I just kindly remind them of Kevin Spacey in "Se7en". Heath does play the part very well, but it's not the end all be all role. "He could climb to it, if he climbed alone, and once there he could suck on the pap of life, gulp down the incomparable milk of wonder."
