Went to the beach, even gave my friend a lift there which is funny because I'm still on my learners.Had a pretty cool day at the beach, good to finally see friends and I met a couple of new people.Cricket practice afterwards sucked super hard though, was sore after yesterdays practice. I also have a job full time until summer ends now, working at a sawmill stacking (fairly light) timber. Only got it because my dad used to manage the sawmill and he has been nagging me severely to get a job. Not exactly my ideal job but hey, it pays (a little over minimum wage too! :P), and it will keep me fit, probaly a good experience. Though now my only free times to hang with friends are nights (but I live far away), friday afternoons and Sundays :( @Tim, although I'm not all that good at talking to people either, it's worth remembering people love to talk about themselves, you can pretty much have a 'conversation' and not say much at all. Theres always gonna be poeple you don't find easy to talk to, don't let it bother you too much. Social anxiety is a vicious cycle, you have an awkward moment with someone and it [bleep]s up your mind around people, I'm still trying to get out of it.My problem was I always felt like people judged me on things I say or did, I overthought absolutely everything, not kidding, so I wouldn't say anything and then I would feel worse afterwards because I was really quiet. Honestly, once you can get thoughts like this out of your head it's amazing how much easier things become when your mind is clear. So how I have tried to go about it is just realising people aren't really judging me at all. I'm still learning how to do it, but shit the progress that I've made has made me feel a lot better about things (a few years ago, I could hardly even say words to people at all..) and its helped my confidence immensely.It's pretty much stop (well mostly) caring about what others think of you, way easier said than done, but it can be done just by spending more time around people. Also, I feel like if I can think up something really cool he'll probably let me do it so I'm letting my brain percolate on the matter for a bit still. I'm just incapable of meeting new people on by my own means. But anyone within 3 degrees of separation is no problem to talk to. Today I'm packing for my weekend in Gettysburg. It's a lot more effort than normal, but at some point in the last few years I apparently figured out how to not be awkward about it. I rarely meet new people of my own volition though, so I don't have to use the skill that much. Never been much of a people person anyway. I legitimately prefer my own company, though oddly enough, if I were cloned and that clone had my personality, I sometimes think I would find me insufferable in the flesh. Not that I think I am annoying to be around, but someone who knows all my tics and stuff, it would be weird. I guess I'd either get along with myself really well, or I'd hate me. Ah well, I get along with the voice in my head just fine :D Got Crysis 2. Now I am downloading the Direct X 11 mode, and the enhanced textures, which comes out to 2 freaking GB. So now that I have fufilled my quota for making other people think I'm really weird for the day (this post), I guess I'll go make something to eat, because I'm fairly sure I slept through supper last night, and now I'm kinda hungry. Anyone ever been hungry to the point where they feel kinda sick (normally for like 5 minutes then it goes away for an hour)? I feel like its kinda counter productive, since I normally end up laying down till it blows over, and its really hard to eat anything when your stomach is all making a fuss. Like, stop complaining for 5 minutes so I can feed you ffs. And yes, I don't normally eat till I get hungry, and no, I don't normally wait until I feel sick to get off my ass and make supper (and that's make as in real cooking, not some bull shit microwave meal).
