I just played The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, watch Mukbang Challenge and create a never endless content. 

Just started a new run of the Witcher aswell, but get them games out of the Today thread!

 

Back home, and the so-called "beast from the east" has attacked. Meh. Normal winter here.

 

Also, the dick museum was closed and moving right when I visited Iceland. Bleh.

I suppose you learn an automatic? As a starting driver, most important is to keep eyes wide open and drive defensively. Although, if you have experience on scooter, should be ok.

I released my goal planner/route finder/game relation database library (I call it Discworld): https://github.com/aaronbolyard/Discworld

 

There's Twoflower, which could work with any RPG with relationships that can described as a graph, and Mapp, which is a more specialized library designed for "RuneScape-like" games.

 

I used Discworld in my secret project, and am going to use it in the game I'm making. This, for example, creates an item, "Amulet of Yendor", and adds 10 of it to the shop "Amulet Shoppe":

Cool thing is it creates a "shop_inventory" item so the goal planner won't buy more than what a shop carries. The planner initial state would have 10 shop_inventory, and every time it buys one from the shop, the shop_inventory goes down. Since you can't own negative of something in the planner, it automatically will stop buying from the store and try other options after 10 purchases!

 

Once it outsmarted me and bought -100000 (or so) things from a shop to make money. :) I wish.

 

Given enough data, it can come to arbitrary complex solutions. If you do things like weight cost of actions by personality, it can also give completely different solutions optimized for specific personalities. For example, if you weight combat, the plan will favor gathering resources from monsters instead of gathering them normally before certain thresholds. It's really neat.

I wondered the same. When the day comes that the benevolent site owner stops paying the bill, will we get a warning? Or will it just go down?

Pretty sure Silverion is still the owner. But the boards are almost completely dead, and the main site doesn't seem to get much activity either (relative to in its heyday). I'm sure the hosting costs were pretty significant, although they could have been downscaled recently if the traffic isn't so high.

 

I hope we get some sort of a warning but I wouldn't count on it.

Damn, the day TIF dies will be a little sad. I've been on here for like 10 years now and its one of the few communities I frequent and feel like I actually know the people.

I've been feeling really unusually upbeat, I think I'm making a few friends now, and next week I'm visiting some friends at my undergrad uni and I'm like a child at christmas with excitement.

Master's life is very different, I think I look forward to letting my hair down a little and having fun.

I am unsure if we'll have warning or not. I know the site and community are important to Silverion, even if he isn't here much.

 

I've gotten myself a temporary job at a place I used to work retail while I seek other employment. This time I'm working on the commercial crew, and I find the days go by much faster. The hours are also better for traffic and I don't work weekends (yay!).

Sooo after much searching and taking various things into consideration, i think i have decided to go to Texas to finish my flying. Reason for this is mainly because there's a direct flight from here to Houston, so i can fly on an ID90 which would drastically reduce my travel costs. Prices also seem a lot lower in general there, which is also pretty cool. I guess climate wise it's also pretty similar to here.
