Some people I know were at the raptors game and saw him on Friday night

 

I was a wreck last night lol, knocking over chairs at the bar constantly. Had a few conversations with doormen at different bars downtown and drunk messaged a few group chats about mental illness lol ffs

 

Either way I'm six months in and have two more to go so the sand timer is definitely running

It's kind of weird to think about CoD having a campaign, complete with a plot and everything. I mean, I've always known it has one, and that such a small number of people play it online doesn't really surprise me. It's just, all you ever hear about in regards to CoD is the multi player, so I guess I've always assumed that the campaigns kind of suck (I'm also pretty sure that accusation has been leveled against some of the previous titles).

WATTBA sucked tbh. Just a lazy money grab.

Life is going pretty well. It's weird to have someone on the same wavelengths.

Cold weather, camping, idiots, snow. Pretty good weekend of work if I do say so, aside from the cold.

Went to a fancy Italian place tonight. Mediocre food. Dreadful service, and totally over crowded. Absolutely salty my bill for just my food and drink was nearly $50. And then I got lost on the way home and had to drive an extra 30 minutes to get back. :thumbsdown:

Today was mothers day in Britain and everyone's posting about their mums and it just would have been so good to spend it with my mum especially as it coincided with Ghana's independence day. It's a proud occasion because it's the only West African country to have never had a civil war and in general my two visits there have been absolutely amazing and I can't wait to visit again.

 

I don't normally have country pride but I feel so much love right now, probably from looking at some photos of me and family /friends

There's an 8 month pregnant Ghanaian exchange student that lives in the apartment next to mine. She throws up every morning at 7am. I think she's well past the morning sickness stage and it sounds like dry heaving. I have no idea what to make of it. She's nice, I've only met her in passing.

I have to say it again, I mess up Low Levelled and Ring World all the time with the similar writing style and no profile pic...

 

Bloody long and difficult days ahead. Gonna be harsh.

I feel quite nervous for my first actual high profile marching band performance lol.

It's next week at the end of Toronto fashion week and I should probably calm down but I'm kind of anxious at the minute.

 

I've been watching videos in preparation but I'm happy I've pretty much absolutely mastered two of the songs we're playing.

I just need to work a little harder on the Galway Piper and on Superstition - it's quite weird because I think my saxophone is mostly in tune except for one note and it just means that I have to play the natural note rather than the flat as written on the sheet (I'm thinking it could just be a mistake on my sheet music).

 

Otherwise, I was in a bad mood for about 20 ish minutes but I perked up pretty quickly which is awesome.

Only thing is I have a medicinal chemistry midterm on Friday night and afterwards I have drill because that's the only time the basketball courts are free for the band to practice marching.

There's early voting in NC, so I went to an early voting location and voted in the Democratic primaries. Went incredibly smoothly. Range from content to excited for the choices I made.

 

Out of the 30 or so voters I encountered in the 10 minutes I was there, I was by far the youngest by perhaps 30 years. I bet voter participation among youth will be incredibly low, like it was in the local elections here. It's really terrible...

 

A young voter could pull up the ballot they'll see from the state voter website, search for the candidates, review their policies, and come to a reasonably informed decision in an hour or two. The early voting (nearly two weeks) also means they can vote on their leisure. North Carolina is anti-voter, definitely, but the anti-voter regulation would not affect most youth voters that dramatically. It's complete apathy and disregard for civil duty. What a world.

Someone's "pet" tiger got loose today, and was roaming the streets of the city.
