I got my first smartphone today. I'm finally moving up in the world.

I've been home alone at night for probably the past week and a half and I don't think I'll ever get used to hearing noises at night when no one is around.

 

Heard something go creak just a few minutes ago when I got a drink of water and I was spooked.

I think hearing those noises when you're home alone is one of the best feelings in the world. I remember back when me and my sister lived together in South Africa i used to come home in the afternoons and i'd be alone until 2 or 3 am when she got home from work (she worked night-shift) and i would sit on the couch in silence just listening to the house for hours. Granted i used to be high pretty much all the time back then, but it was still very soothing. 

Hearing 3am noises in my house while I'm high in the crime capital of the world would have a dramatically different effect on me

Not sure if you're referring to my home town as the crime capital of the world, but you're not far off. I lived about an hour's drive from what i think most people would call one of the most dangerous cities in the world. But ignorance is bliss, as they say. I guess when i lived there i didn't really think of the dangers too much, or too often.

Honestly though I'd almost argue don't bother because I just looked at every gym in town today and they're all level 10 with 2.5k cp Pokemon so you're gonna be locked out of that content for years to come.

It takes like 3 weeks to get pokemon that can beat level 2.5k pokes though cuz of the soft cap & how biased gyms are towards attackers. Dragonites are a little tough until you get a good lapras or wigglytuff, but lapras & snorlax can both be taken down pretty easily once you start getting 1.5k cp pokemon, especially lapras

That depends on if my girlfriend forces me to play with her or not.

I by no means play pokemon go hardcore but even after all this time my dudes still suck. Best I got is a 1360 Hypno, followed by a 1313 Jolteon.

 

Noxx I'm not exactly sure where you lived in South Africa but I remember reading about its deeply corrupt systems and its rampant crime a while back and Die Antword spoke out about it once being one of the most dangerous crime ridden places on earth

I got a shave today. Been growing my beard for about 8 months now. My beard grows pretty slow so it was by no means extremely big, but it was fairly decent. It started getting pretty messy though and i got annoyed at having to wash my entire face after i eat just about anything that has the slightest amount of moisture in it. Feels kind of weird now though. Feels weird feeling the wind on my face again. And it's always strange how small my face feels/looks after having a beard for a long time.

I hate hair. If it doesn't serve a functional purpose (e.g., ear), or aesthetic (e.g., head), it shouldn't exist. Facial hair, arm hair, leg hair, whatever--it's all disgusting. :angry:

 

I'm so close to being in an ideal weight range (~145 lbs). I weighed myself at 252 lbs last April and felt terrible. Been working on it since. 90 lbs down, 17 lbs remaining. Down from size 44 pants to size 32, and can go so much further and faster on my bicycle. Wasn't until ~170 lbs when I started thinking "I'm actually starting to look good!"

 

And just did a personal best of 13.8 mph average over 20 minutes. I'd love to go for hour long (or longer) bike rides, but I'm terrified enough on my scooter on the main roads, so I just do 20-40 minutes in my neighborhood with occasional outings a mile or two further out.

Congrats, that's pretty impressive! Have you ever tried a stationary bike indoors? You can add resistance and pedal as fast as you want without much in the way of safety concerns. I'm not sure how accurate they would be though.

I've found stationary bikes I've used in the past to be mind-numblingly boring. There's nothing like the wind and scenery and people and animals that break up any chance of monotony.

 

I'm just going to get better gear for riding on the main roads (mirror, probably elbow/knee pads). I mean, they're not going to save me from a collision, but the mirror well help with awareness and the pads will help if I have to hit the sidewalk/ground.

Got a response from the police department. Basically just an email saying my application was receieved and that testing begins sometime between November and April and that the academy will likely start this summer.

 

Also I'm buying a motorcycle next week.

I got Vi to Champion Mastery Level 7 today. Yay!

Had our weekly ultrasound appointment today. The baby didn't have a heartbeat. She had a surgery to remove "the contents." Doesn't feel real yet.

Today i met the uncle of one of the wives of the previous Emir. This dude has a seriously impressive car collection. He has about 10 Classics in his garage all waiting to be restored. Chevy, Ford and GMC pickups, and 2 Muscle cars. He's working on them one at a time, and the Ford Pickup he's working on now is getting a 850HP engine. I'm actually jealous 

Damn low, that's gotta be weird. At least your life can return to how it was a few months back.

 

 

I started my moving process yesterday. Built and slept in my bed last night. It's groovy.

I moved into my new apartment on Friday, but I only took down a uhaul, and my parents were supposed to bring me my car on Saturday on their way to a wedding. They didn't leave early enough to drop off the car before the wedding, so now it's been 2 days without any god damn food or shampoo and I'm so upset, I just want my car.

Do you have Uber or Lyft in your area? Make use of that. My stupid city went and kicked out all the ridesharing stuff because they don't follow the same regulations as taxis...
