I moved into my new apartment on Friday, but I only took down a uhaul, and my parents were supposed to bring me my car on Saturday on their way to a wedding. They didn't leave early enough to drop off the car before the wedding, so now it's been 2 days without any god damn food or shampoo and I'm so upset, I just want my car.

Do you have Uber or Lyft in your area? Make use of that. My stupid city went and kicked out all the ridesharing stuff because they don't follow the same regulations as taxis...

Uber and Lyft are just as much at fault in my opinion. They know how impactful their services are for reducing drunk driving and helping people get around on short notice, but they just up and abandoned the city instead of trying to conpromise or anything.

being sick is super lame. I've been out with a cold and haven't really left my apartment this whole weekend. I'm just hoping its almost over though because I'm going to a couple concerts this week and visiting home this weekend and I really dont want to be dealing with being sick throughout all that

That assumes that the cities are willing to compromise in the first place; many aren't. Those that are often insist on so many regulations that uber's business model becomes unprofitable.

Had our weekly ultrasound appointment today. The baby didn't have a heartbeat. She had a surgery to remove "the contents." Doesn't feel real yet.

Yeah I mean it was unplanned so we certainly will be more careful this time. I just drastically changed my life the last month and a half and worked way harder and more frequently and it just feels wasted

I'm sorry Low.  I know it wasn't planned in the first place, but that's still a tough thing to go through.  I'm sure you're going to be having a lot of different emotions, but you shouldn't feel bad about anything.  You stepped up when you had to and showed your quality.  It's going to be tough to go back to normal, whatever that is, but however you feel you should be able to take pride in how you've handled everything.

 

Especially don't feel guilty over any feelings of relief you may have.  When you're ready you'll have another shot at everything, but for now just know that everything that has happened is perfectly normal and no one is at fault.

Found a pogo trainer at a gym near work named "anatripsis". I've no clue where TIF's Tripsis got her name, but apparently someone else went the same naming route.

The thing I hated the most about Chicago was the amount of homeless people that come up to you and ask you for money because you look like a young white naive tourist couple with lots of money.

If it's anything like my time at jury duty it's going to be a cushy do nothing job anyway. I literally just screwed around on my phone and 3DS until they told me to go home.

My chihuahua has turned off my home server several times. It has terrible placement on the power button. She lays next to it and presses against the button, thus turning it off after a few seconds.

 

I'll have to turn the server 90 degrees when she moves...
