compfreak847 Posted September 21, 2008 Share Posted September 21, 2008 I finally figured out the time at which all daily Runescape events (besides Bork) reset. 1 AM GMT, every day. I've tested it with MTK, Battlestaffs, and Explorer Ring. I'm sure others have figured it out, but it doesn't seem to be common knowledge. Just thought I'd share it - feel free to supply other things that 'recharge' once a day on that schedule. (That time happens to be 10 minutes before I made this post, just so you can translate it into your time zone easily : ) Drops: 1x Draconic Visage, 56x Abyssal Whip, 5x Demon Head, D Drops: 37, Barrows Drops: 43, DK Drops: 29GWD drops: 14,000x Bars, 1x Armadyl Hilt, 2x Armadyl Skirt, 4x Sara Sword, 1x Saradomin Hilt, 8x Bandos Hilt, 8x Bandos Platebody, 9x Bandos Tassets, 4x Bandos Boots, 43x Godsword Shard, 82x Dragon BootsDry streak records: Saradomin 412 kills Bandos 988 kills Spirit Mages 633 kills - Slayer Sucks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Judging by the frequency of H&A posts about it, plus the general misinformation spread, I'd guess that this is a fairly important thing. I'd like to get it noticed. It's very handy for battlestaffs - you can get 2 days worth in 15 minutes if you start buying 5-10 minutes before 1 AM (So long as you time it right!, or use the money from MTK during the day and only put it in for a few minutes. Same with favor. I find it very handy, considering that I'm rather poor right now after buying a SGS, and that 1m from MTK comes in handy for merching at night. On the east coast USA, this is 8 PM. Really handy for MTA, battlestaves, and anything else daily based. Theoretically you can do 'two' in one day, but, then you have to wait a day. Still fun tho. Yes the GE is 100% random I have seen no pattern yet after over 4 months of GE merchanting. I imagine whenever there is enough data or when Jagex feels like hitting the magic GE update button. But maybe they make it random to stop merchanting. Either way it's random. I finished the quest fairly recently, and I'm almost positive it couldn't have been that time. It updates at midnight actually, it's only 1am because we're on +1 hour at the moment. I don't know about DST - I'll test it after we change again. I would assume it changes it also, though. Still easy to track, only twice a year : The GE is not affected by this - I've been trying to do some testing, but all I've come up with is that it might have something to do with the trade volume. When the time reverts back to GMT i usually log on just before collect that days then wait a few mins collect the next days, don't have to login again for awhile then.
