No. You're the only one.

I would not know... the best I could do was 2 and a half- 3 sides. Would appreciate it if you would share the secret with us, and embellish this topic with more than two sentences. Not that you have too, but it would be nice.

Those things just keep coming back. You think the fad has passed, and BAM everyone and his mother is carrying one around in the halls.

 

 

 

I learned to solve one myself, but unfortunately I've forgotten some of the algorithms now.

i guess it could be addicting. anything these days could be addicting. personally ive never tried rubiks cubes alot and i dont know how to solve them so ive never been addicted to them. im too lazy to learn how to solve them lol

I hate the bloody things. They are really annoying...Hence, I am only saying that because I can't solve them ;)

It's a habit of mine to not leave mine unsolved, but it's not like I do them 24/7...Only when I'm really bored/need to pass time/need to show off my skillz/someone asks me to.

omg!!! thats just like me!!! everytime i see a scrambled rubik's cube, i get a strong urge to solve it.....its like an OCD except its just rubik's cube. hey, platsilver, how fast can u solve it? my quickest time was 1 min. 46 sec.

I find Rubik's cubes to be an unentertaining waste of time... I imagine they'd be fun to play with whilst stoned though!!! It'd be like 'Woooooaaaaah!!! These colours are awesome!!! Woah!!! You can move bits!!!!' :lol:

Rubik's cubes died like two years ago.

guy on my floor loves solving them, and can do them in like 5mins, and another guy trying to figure it out and keeps scrambling it lol its so amusing they can go an hour+ just scrambling and unscrambling the damn thing

This school year I have seen atleast 5 different people with Rubiks cubes. I saw one guy solve on in 45 seconds during my lunch.

I've never solved a Rubik's cube and probably never will. I hate those things. I suck at logic puzzles in general.

Maybe if I learned how to do it..I'll show it off and teach people, but then I don't know how to do it. :wall:

I brought the Rubik's Cube to my school. My fastest solve is 47 seconds, which is not too terrible considering I only used algorithms that came with the cube (I'm a cheater :^o ).

I've never understood the huge deal about Rubik cubes. Either you know the algorithms, and solve it quickly in less than some minutes, or you don't know them and spend ages without solving them.

I don't have to have mine solved all the time.

 

 

 

But if I see it on the floor of my room scrambled I just pick it up and solve it then throw it somewhere.

Exactly. Everyone I know of just crammed the algorithms in their heads, and decided they were better than everyone else with this new skill. I mean, my brother and I used to have races when we were 13 and 9 respectively and learned how to solve it together... it's nothing special, really. We aren't geniuses, either. All you have to do is develop your brain to make it able to see 6-7 moves ahead, no Internet help required.

 

Just yesterday my friend was boasting and showing us how he could do it in less than a minute, too. sigh.

My brother though, got a rubix cube, got on the internet, learnt how to do them, and can solve them in less than a minute easy, scares me tbh... i just go "What a loser, he needs a life" ..... then go back to playing rs lol.

Eh, I've got a Rubik's cube sitting next to me. I enjoy playing around with it a bit while I talk on the phone, otherwise the little bastard just pisses me off.

One of these days I'm finally gonna get around to memorizing the algorithms.

i use algorithims(and btw, if u read my previous post that stated my fastest time was 1 min 47 secs, i just want to let you know i beat my own record and got it to 1 min, 27 secs.), but there are ppl who dont use algorithims and just know how to do it, its weird, like they hav an innate know how of each scrambled spot

I just bought one last week! I'm not going to cheat and use the algorithms though, it feels like it'd be cheapening the whole experience. So, in two years when I've solved it I'll be back to brag.

A freind of mine, who's also obsessed with rubix cubes, taught me how to solve them.

 

 

 

It still takes me over 15 minutes though, as opposed to the 1 minute it takes him.
