I usually hate updates for F2P I don't think they deserve it because F2P basically is supposed to be a demo.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But for the ring I think it was a fair update for F2P. And wow 3 more invent spaces... Not really that big. BUT TEH CABBAGE TELE FTW!!! :twss: :twss: :twss:

I tried Draynor bank - cabbage - Air altar - cabbage - Draynor bank, and it seemed to be a little quicker than going from Falador.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Another tip, from equipped, the teleport has an interruptible dialog, but from Inventory, it can be held ready on a right click menu which is not interruptible.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Try Fally Bank - cabbage - air altar - fally teleport, and repeat for insanely fast exp.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I definatwly think that this is one of the most useful updates for F2P.....i never take it off it is just so useful...I still do need to try it for lobster fishing though.

Although I do see through their front of "caring" as a blatant marketing scheme to seem like they care :lol: . but hey, if its good for the company, it'll be good for the game- more money=more staff=more updates, better, faster and more fun.

I think it was a lovely update. It gave some pures the opportunity for faster travelling without training magic.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I just have to wait until I get Dorelei the money for 42 prayer before I get it, which is a bummer. But I'm sure that not all pures are like that haha.

I only use it for restoring run energy. Not sure if the teleports really affect F2P a whole bunch except maybe the convienance.

Considering you are indeed a member, F2P getting an update here and there does not affect you in the least because you are not excluded from that update, you get that one in addition to many MORE. Also I don't know how many 'demo' games you have played but I assure you that the free version of Runescape would not classify as a demo, but rather you pay for membership which is simply an expansion pack to the original game.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Anyways, I think the cabbage teleport has proved most useful for me, I would say I use it every day in fact.

It's great. Sometimes I do it just because i can :D .

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fishing lobbies seems so much faster now.

Its great! F2P went from having no rings with stats, to a ring that gives +1 to Magic AND +1 to Prayer.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The ring doesn't give extra xp, its the gloves with their effect, earlier today, I was crafting with Earth Gloves, and I got 200 xp, then 200 more from the Gloves, then those ran out, switched to Fire Runes, and I didn't get that 2nd "boost" of xp, the chat box showed "Your Lumbridge ring sparkles to life and creates more runes." :ugeek: although, Ij wish it did work that way, I don't take my ring of in F2P \

Well, i certainly love it. The bonuses it gives are good in my opinion, and around when it came out, i forgot my anti shield to iron dragons and only lived because i managed to cabbage tele.

I didn't even notice the stat bonuses, but I still use it all the time for lobster fishing.

I think it's a great tool for cutting yews under melzar's maze. I love it!

its great for f2p and there is really no need to make a topic on this. This update happened awhile ago and we made previous discussions on this. It's like me saying how putting a bank on top of lumby castle is so useful.

 

 

 

I know you were just making an example but honestly putting the bank on TOP of the castle was the biggest flop ever. Sorry if you were being sarcastic I can't tell

 

 

 

As for the ring...

 

 

 

Definitely the most useful ring in F2P. Mainly because it actually does something. Quite a lot of somethings.

 

 

 

Basically everything has been mentioned. But there are a few other things:

 

 

 

Training in the stronghold(s) got a whole lot easier thanks to teleportation.

 

 

 

Free prayer boost. You don't lose anything with bonuses to put on the ring... in this way it benefits F2P more than P2P.

 

 

 

Dude1: Cabbage Power Activate!!!

 

Dude2: OMFG HOW DID U DO THAT!?!

 

 

 

It also helps when mining in L'bridge Swamp (the one closer to Draynor)

I love the little blighter. It's an infinite Draynore Glory tele, free alchemy, and almost two super energy pots per day.

In members, the cabbage patch tele is greatly enhanced by planting a spirit tree in the tree patch in Port Sarim just south of the teleport point. This gives unlimited access to the G.E., the gnome stronghold and village, and the poisoned waste dungeon where you can kill warped tortoises (a personal favorite).

 

 

 

I find it as fast for reaching the G.E. as glorying to edge and running over the bridge or teleing to Varrock and running up past the bank.

 

 

 

Definetly one of the more useful items to come out in a while.

Personally, I think that it's a very useful ring. In fact, it's been used in wars and has changed them quite a bit. I was quite surprised that such a little ring can have a huge impact on the day it came out.
