Recently noticed that the cracker has been on the list almost everyday now. Is it because it is finally being traded? or is it just another small update to showcase the most expensive item of the game? If I remember correctly, the top 100 list is for traded items only right? So sometimes blue phats and white phats dont make the list because they arent traded in that 24 hour time span.

 

 

 

Now..the cracker is very rare, so are the select few owners making deals to sell for lowest and then buy back at lowest so the GE can lower prices back to some equilibrium?

They're not doing a very good job then, the price hasn't changed in 30 days ;)

More people seem to be investing in rares now instead of 3rd age though. So that is my only guess on why they are being bought again.

There is no possible way of knowing that unless it was released by a Jagex moderator, which is highly unlikely.

I think there will always be some amount of rares in the game. Question is, how many are actually in active accounts.

 

 

 

I have one friend that has a White Party Hat that will probably never play again, and he has no plans to sell it.

 

 

 

I know of another account with four Halloween masks and a Santa Hat that hasn't been played in over a year or two and may or may not ever get played on again.

 

 

 

Then you have some players that may just not part with them just because. So I feel most of the rares will always be around to some extent in the game. Just how many are out there with possibility of you being able to buy them may pretty much be next to nothing though one day.

would be good to transfer millions with that cracker through exchange and normal trades, only downside is that the char you transfer the money on, would need 600M+ starting funds. :wall:

It's actually being traded, but not much. They're still way too expensive for becomming an item which most players can get their hands on.

I agree swedishboy. They doesnt seems to be something for everyone. They are worth alot, but someone is buying them, and for what reason, I dont know, but somebody is. It seems. Or may be its a bug :P
