Ts_Stormrage
Soul Wars (pretty much the combat counterpart of the mostly skill-based Stealing Creation) is an immensely popular game that has hundreds of people ingame at the same time across each dedicated world to it... It's easy accessible for everyone of any level, and get a VERY healthy chunk of XP if you win, and even a little for when you lose... Not to mention the combat XP you get ingame (which is perfect for ancients and chinners)... Then why, of all places, did they place the one thing that can access it in Edgeville... Why not in a town that could use a little "traffic" like Nardah, Sophanem or Pollinivneach... or what about Rimmington, Keldagrim or (lol) Tai bwo Wannai..? Those towns are pretty empty, and having to go there to get to this minigame wouldve made those towns a lot busier, and probably even drain a few GP from the economy trying to get there... warren211
I have to agree. Although soul wars was placed conveniently next to a tele spot (edgeville glory tele), I think it could have been put in one of those obscure overlooked towns. Maybe have the ring of duelling teleport you there to keep the teleport convenience of the minigame, and to make the ring of duelling a standard 4-tele-spot teleportation apparatus. [hide=]tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :( :lol:But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities. That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. TheDayRsDied
Why make a town busy just for the sake of making a town busy? It would be much better to place it in a town with a bank, in an area convienient for players to reach. It would be much better to place it in a town with a bank, in an area convienient for players to reach. Why even create towns if players won't use them? Waste of map space. Imo, if you create a place on the world map, make it usable. So, if Jagex creates new content, they might aswell place it somewhere in a town that isn't used much. Deserted towns just ruin the "feel" of the game. Metu
I don't like it in Edgeville either, Edgeville shouldn't have a minigame portal. And next to some ruin, it just looks wrong. It IS easy to reach though, and I wouldn't want that to change, even though I have played it only twice :P So there should be an easy teleport to the place it would be located.. South of Draynor village is a pretty empty field with only a summoning obelisk, I'd say dump the portal over there :P AwF_Suir1 in-gameClick here to read about RuneScape Must-Haves! Kilo
That was the odd thing I found about the whole soul wars minigame. In fact I checked twice to make sure where the location for Soul Wars was to make sure I didn't read it wrong. Edgeville is a pretty big place already, and it didn't seem to fit. Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.Oscar Wilde
Racheya
I can see why it'd be good to have it somewhere more deserted... but maybe from another view they wouldn't want the game to suffer because people won't travel to it. Especially since it seems a lot of work has gone into it, they would probably hate for it to end up with nobody playing. #-o Somewhere like Rimmington would be good though since it's not too far out of the way... Danqazmlp
I agree. I personally think it shouldn't have a portal at all, but be accessed from a small boat on the tyas dock. It would mean there is a requirement to get there in the quests, but would still be easy to get to through charter ships. Want to be my friend? Blingkachi50
I don't feel that it needed to be in a less visited in town, but it definitely seems out of place in edgeville. :-k [blingkachi50]

Shelby_Polo
I think if they put Soul Wars in a town, that's not populated (or needs some population), AND that town didn't have a direct tele, people would get upset. I know I get upset if I can't get to a mini game instantly; yes, I know I'm spoiled in that way. (Off topic: I earned my right to be 'tele spoiled' by being a noob in RSC without run, I've walked my distance) Anyway, minigames such as FoG that (didn't) have a tele was frustrating. Jagex has now added a jewelry teleport there. If it was in a town like rimmington, it would just frustrate people; unless Jagex added a direct tele there (oops, I geuss rimmington was a bad example; I forgot about the PoH portal, but people like me, don't have there house there.) But ya, I 100% agree with the idea of adding content to 'forgotten', ghost town/areas. Suggest a poll for Tip.it - Here!

Mercifull
It's supposed to be accessable to everyone, even level 3's with no quest points. It would be unfair to place it in a city which requires level requirements or quests to access. That is not the point of the game. SwreeTak
Edgeville isn't a that busy place actually. I think it was a good place to place it at, since it hadn't got any minigames or alike things there before. It's rather easy to get there andpretty much everyone know what and where it is. Of course it would have been fun if they placed it at some more far away place, but Edgeville works fine too, I think. dark1wraith
I completely disagree with the original poster. Part of it being accessible is being in a easy to get to place. In fact when they made it I thought, well at least they put it in a good spot where people I know visit often, so it won't be so much trouble to get them all to play. You realize you're complaining about it being to convenient to get to? using the example already given, Trouble Brewing is a fun mini game with ok rewards as far as exp goes but is completely empty because of it's location. Moving it to a spot no one visits doesn't mean people visit that place, it just means fewer people visit the mini game. lastly, it's made to be a game with tons of people in it so they can kill the avatar quickly, so they put it in a place many people will go to. Ezz
Well, some of the reason that Jagex gave to it being placed in Edgeville was because those Edgeville ruins are elvish, and Soul Wars is an elvish minigame (right?). But yeah, I agree with you that it should be placed in a somewhat more dead town than in Edgeville, which is crawling with people already. [insert birds flying in a circle here]Yes, that sig was annoying.
