Its a loophole, not bug abuse or rule breaking. However, after two recent updates to the pvp world drop potential (no fun weapons/air strike), I think its pretty damn obvious Jagex doesnt approve of it. Therefore, why do idiots feel the need to find and post alternatives just because they're too lazy to get drop potential the way it was designed?

Another case of Runescapes broken community shines brightly

I don't even know why people still waste their time with this dumb pvp trick. I mean even if by some chance you do get a dfs or dfh, in the time it took to get one you could have made 10x that somewhere else, like armadyl. Stop wasting your time and go boss hunt like every normal person trying to make money.

only people who stink at getting drops would say that

What about flowers and that dead chiken in a bag????

I believe those are considered "fun weapons" which no longer work for increasing drop potential.

I personally find that skilling in PvP worlds works even better than any type of tanking/weak mage spells. You gain both experience and drop potential. Also, no need to feed me the line that you will get pk'd while skilling. There are a ton of open skilling options that are open to the blind eyes of the pkers on PvP worlds. Just dodge a few bullets and you'll be there. [/hint]

Jagex has shown multiple times that they don't want people to do this.

Instead, you can do lots of things while carrying 76k, like:

  •
[*:3phcky44]Skill (there are several great guides here on Tif)

[*:3phcky44]3/4 item slay while prayer flashing (fun and easy)

[*:3phcky44]If you have high detail, help Tip.It by taking pictures of
updated monsters.

[*:3phcky44]Quest

Jagex don't care about the 26k thing.

They designed it so it could be done that way, and told people how to do it.

Sure, it kinda defeats what the PvP worlds were "designed for", but In Jagex's eyes they are doing an activity for a long period of time, and then reaping the rewards.

The reason snowballing (Strike Spells) were taken out was because people were getting a decent amount of mage xp, for a low cost and for doing nothing but sit there. All while getting generous PvP rewards all at the same time.

Jagex dosen't care if you use bronze hally's for 2 hours to increase your rewards, because you won't get alot of xp doing that. Not the kind of xp snowballing gave.

At least now, spending 2 hours and getting nothing out of it, except a chance for better rewards, is justified.

This isn't true. Jagex has made multiple updates to combat 26king, and does care about it. Also, you can get the same magic experience by airstriking or cursing cows while wearing full rune, and Jagex hasn't nerfed that. It's about unfairly gaining drop potential.

because there aren't any hotzones where you can do anything useful?

I once spent a week skilling and slaying in a pvp world. I then proceeded to pk and got 8 kills of rune warhammers before my potential was gone.

the point in ws was to do it while you slept and get a LOT of potential then pk while you were awake lol

That more or less sums it up. Some people would rather skill to gain dp, others would rather do something else IRL. The ability to afk is what makes "fun dueling" so desirable. Just think about it, you can get your homework done while gaining the ability to get better drops. Doesn't that sound better than skilling all day and doing your homework late at night? I think so.

I really didn't realize SO many people want to abuse the pvp system. Good job guys. because sooner or later jagex will make an update that will make Pvp words suck terribly because of this.

Jagex told us how the pvp system works. Utilizing this knowledge to make it work in your favor is not abuse. Anyone can use these methods therefore it does not grant anyone an unfair advantage in the game.

It's inevitable that Jagex will take harsh actions to prevent this if you guys just keep going around the barriers they are trying to set up. It's happened in the past (trade restrictions, removal of the wild). Keep it up and sooner or later the drop potential system is going to get a huge nerf.

There's enough wrong with this logic, but.."ability to AFK"? Are you out of your mind? That's not an ability; that's something that needs to be removed four months ago.

I don't get what's wrong with just normal PKing you know... like... what the PvP worlds are actually there for? Just... throwing that insane idea out there...

I PK and I needed to windstrike for potential to actually break even.

theres nothing wrong with emergent gameplay, which is what this is. it isnt bug abuse, its not hurting anyone, jagex needs to get over is and stop trying to "fix" it.

also, everyone else needs to stop getting so hyped up about it aswell

edit; oh yeah. even pkers need to increase their drop potential before pking to make money, as toast said. another reason why jagex should stop trying to "fix" this

I'm gonna be walking down an alley in varrock, and walka is going to walk up to me in a trench coat and say "psst.. hey man, wanna buy some sara brew"

walka92- retired with 99 in attack, strength, defence, health, magic, ranged, prayer and herblore and 137 combat. some day i may return to claim 138 combat, but alas, that time has not yet come

there is NOTHING wrong with the 26king, let alone the ways of building dp which all pkers do, 26kers or not.

and can someone PLEASE tell me why 26k trick is so "evil" and is something "wrong with the game?"

Or you could pk on the pvp servers like your supposed to.

Jagex put them in to help combat RWT, so you guys just find another way to try and cheat the system?

Safe in combat? Tactics.

Safe against your mate in singleway combat while you use the system in a way it wasn't intended? Abuse.

so umm learn to logic? idk lol

Well said.

Okay. I'll sum it up like this.

Why the hell should you get a better drop, using the weakest of equipment in a controlled setting, than someone who's using an AGS and full Bandos, in a place where PJing could occur at literally any moment?
