March 18, 200917 yr Tip.It. Be careful what you wish for. :/ It's a great thing since Jagex has finally opened up an official channel of communication, but I suppose you're right. Taking this with a grain of salt would not be terrible, since no one here knows what this will produce in the end. All we can pray for is good. But dear GOD, that sounds pessimistic. Linux User/Enthusiast | Full-Stack Software Engineer | Stack Overflow Member | GIMP User...Alright, the Elf City update lured me back to RS over a year ago.
March 18, 200917 yr Errr, i read the first page and i don't think people are aware of this... JaGex contacted RuneHQ too. And i bet many other fan sites too. (with the exception of zybez. Dirty RWTers as far as i can hear) But i think This fan site has the best Helpful Supportive players to Complete A*Cabbage*-Hole players ratio. Which is about 5.1(I love you Tip.it). All in all, i think fan site input will be great for the game. EDIT: i just read through a bit more and saw that someone said that zybez was contacted? But RS even blocked People from saying zybez in-game :uhh: Hexiled Razz. Player since March 8th, 2005.
March 18, 200917 yr Does this mean you can say Tipit and not get reported now? :D That's the same thing i thought. This seems really cool, but i really wonder what content they are talking about?
March 18, 200917 yr This is really amazing, this will take tip.it to a new level :) But my question is are we the only fan site receiving this ?
March 18, 200917 yr This is really amazing, this will take tip.it to a new level :) But my question is are we the only fan site receiving this ? Several fan sites have been contacted by Jagex. I don't know if we're all getting the same 'service' or 'goodies' or 'treatment' or whatever. March 18, 200917 yr Tip.It should put in a good word for Planet FunOrb  Maybe Jagex just doesn't want to pay for long distance calls to the US? Mark Gerhard needs free anytime minutes.
March 18, 200917 yr This could be oracle from heaven, age of Aquarious, prosperity reigns good, or head for the hills, grab the family valuables and a shot gun bad. On the one hand, Jagex could be showing that they've truly turned over a new leaf and are willing to listen to their paying customers as well as interact with the community. Exclusive content sounds nice, but considering they're extending the offer to most larger fansites, I don't expect much. On the other hand, they could start demanding more and more regulation of said fansites. They could demand harsher censoring, more banned topics, etc. Also, what is said here may begin to carry over to your character, if it's obvious you own it. By this I mean, say something rude or against the rules here, get a black mark on the official forums. But we'll know when it comes. If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system. Yeah, it is a pking minigame, so any arguments anybody makes will probably be biased. The best way this will end :Everybody just says,"I'm not arguing with you anymore, goodbye."The worst way this will end: I don't really know, psychological warfare? Worldwide thermonuclear war? Pie eating contest?

Mark Gerhard needs free anytime minutes. quit plugging your site honestly i'm sure that if they are doing anything about funorb, it'll be last, as mechscape and runescape should (and seem to) take priority over it with things like this, despite the separate teams. if you are good enough, you'll get contacted, if not, don't take it personally. maybe it'll deflate your ego a bit. Although the dates do not matter, I will confirm that these talks have been ongoing for awhile and they just did not start. we wanted to get as close as possible to being able to announce a lot more. March 18, 200917 yr  After they started giving mechscapeworld concept art I knew it was only a matter of time until Tip.it got its due. =D> =P~ \ Here hoping for exclusive sneak peaks! :P Join Future Update News! As das has already said, Tipit has been communicating with Jagex for quite awhile now (unofficially for years actually). No one bothered to mention it until now because it was not seen as being of major importance.
March 18, 200917 yr I've always wondered when Jagex would get around to doing this. It'll definitely be interesting to see where this goes. As for the exclusive content, I wonder if they've got a list of things they can give out and are going to give different things to different sites. Also, I wonder if there will be penalties (the loss of exclusive content privileges, or something) for those sites that go around and get everyone's "exclusive" thing(s) for their own site. > SELECT * FROM users WHERE clue > 0;0 rows returnedThere's no place like 127.0.0.1There are only 10 types of peoplein this world: those who understandbinary and those who don't.This statement is false.$DO || ! $DO ; trytry: command not found
March 18, 200917 yr Mechscapeworld was the first to be contacted by Jagex, and in fact was given 2 official concept arts from them discussing MS. thats not really true... goin by annoucement posts rhq wins that one as they too where contacted by jagex but that was march 11th the newspost for em was posted... i see no reason for tip it to delay theirs so im assuming rhq was first... Actually as far as I can tell all the fansites both Mechscape and RuneScape that Jagex wished to contact were contacted on the same day. We just chose to announce the contact much later than MechScape World & RHQ did.
March 18, 200917 yr Very rewarding for Tip.It I guess :-). I'll type up a list of feedback soon :P. ~Puffins
March 18, 200917 yr I don't know how "unique" the content will be, but I am looking forward to more communication and cooperation, and I am very happy that they will take a look at the many great suggestions from the Tip.It users. One can also hope that Jagex will have some demands for the fansite(s) that aren't known for following their rules, otherwise it will seem a bit unbalanced. I am very excited to see how this can improve the website part of Tip.It, and the clan section. A little bias is allowed. ;) That said, I'm a little disappointed that so many in this topic have chosen to focus on the fear of "noobs" invading from RSOF... Yes, there is more spamming there, but they have many very intelligent posters as well, many which post excellent guides or collect valueable data we'd love to have here. Some of the Tip.It regulars started out on RSOF and moved over here (or still post on both forums), and I would be careful to generalise too much. If someone from RSOF would happen to stumble onto Tip.It forums, they would be just as welcome as any of you. Leave the spam to the mods, and keep enjoying Tip.It. : You're accusing me of bigotry, how ironic. It's a nice attempt at argument, but your responses are facile and asinine, if not diatribe. Who's arrogant now?
