I can speak Dutch and English fluently, understand written and spoken French and German, and speak and write it at an average level. I can also speak ancient Greek and I've had a few years of Latin, but most of that has been slipping away :P

Anyway, for those that speak Dutch, there's a special board on this forum, Dutch Angels, membership on request, moderated by Tsai and Furious_F.

Like most Swedes, I can speak Swedish aswell as understand Norwegian and Danish. I am also fluent in English, and to a degree German as well. I'm currently working on learning some basic Latin and Greek.

Dutch is my native language, and when I try -I can- speak and write

English fluenty, but sometimes I just can't be bothered and it turns into something close to non-understandable, although I doubt that's a word. :)

Next to that I can read and speak German quite well, and speak French... not so well. But I manage! -_-;

This forum really made my English progress over the past -it's been so long ago- 4 years or so. :D

Thanks :P

Oh well, maybe I'm being a little harsh to myself.

I'm really not good at languages other than Dutch and English (eventhough my pronouncing skills aren't exactly good), I had French and German at school but I was just terrible at it

English - Native Language

Irish - I've forgotten alot of it now but if I was made speak it for like a week I'd be fluent

German - I can understand when I read or hear it but my accent is not so good and I can't write it very well (I hate that der/die/das thing!!)

English isnt my first language though I dont want to mention where im from...

Currently trying to study Spanish with little luck... ( I had 90s on grades once, now its low 80s-70s...)

Also studied a bit of French, but I dont think i'll ever have to use it.

And then theres a few Japanese and German words I picked up. Thats about it. :?

I forgot to mention what language(s) I speak:

English-native language

some Estonian-everyone on my dads side of the family speaks it

some Spanish-taking it in school right now

I really wish I had been taught Estonian as my first language, because then I would have learned English from growing up in an English-speaking country and I would be fluent in 2 languages instead of 1. I also wish, like was mentioned before, that my school had more foriegn language classes in the earlier grades.

Something I forgot to ask in the original topic: I was wondering of those who are fairly fluent in 2 or more languages, which were the hardest and easiest to learn?

I'm bilingual I guess (English + Tagalog) unless you count 2 more ethnic languages from the Philippines.

I also learned French from 7-9 but it's too gay for me to actually learn it :(

I could speak fluent german up till Grade 9.

Then I stopped taking classes in it (had been learning since grade 5).

And a year later I could hardly speak any of it anymore :(

Anyhow, I know broken spanish. Bits and pieces of sentances. A few phrases and such. I can get the gist of written stuff fairly easily. Just not quite good with spoken yet :(

finnish

english

swedish

some german (forgot quite a lot of it)

spanish (just started studying it, only know some basics like me hablo fin̮̩̉̉s :P )

"Talkoing" is Middle English, where it was a fun to add vowels to the words so it would rhym with "taco", which obviously was their favourite food.
