July 14, 200916 yr Ok - so you're lending out an item. You complete to lend and get your money. Then ... the loaner says ... 'omg! i can't wield! i want my muney back!' ... :wall: What do you do? I admit to being a bit dumb - I return the money ... There is something rather gut wrenching about the lil' guy in full rune, chocatrice cape being followed by a (usually brown) kitten having a hissy fit about his gps .. Yes, I end up the loser no monies and no item to lend but at least I am at ease with my conscience. I had one guy call me a scammer once because he couldn't wield the whip I was lending him! .. #-o Anyways .. what do you do? What we do in life, echoes in Eternity .... And probably Draynor ... :s
July 14, 200916 yr I usually don't take money for lending out stuff. Usually ends up both of us laughing at we didn't check to see if they could wield :D [Whip drops: 13]

July 14, 200916 yr Author No lending = no whining. mmm ... my new motto I think. What we do in life, echoes in Eternity .... And probably Draynor ... :s
July 14, 200916 yr It's their own fault for not checking if they could wield that item or not. I was once called a scammer for lending out dragon claws 12 hours 400k. I've also had people refuse a loan because they didn't like the junk (mind runes) I was offering... They're agreeing to borrow my item for x hours. They should be willing to pay the fee, regardless of the type of junk items that I'm offering. It wouldn't be paying to borrow an item if they could just dump it in the GE and sell it quickly... I always lend items to my friends for free, though. SWAG Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on.
July 14, 200916 yr Honestly, I'd say tough luck. A few thousand gold is a more than fair price to pay for the lesson of THINKING before ACTING. ~It's Super Effective! July 14, 200916 yr My motto is that lending is encouraging more reckless behavior in Runescape. Before lending, you'd sure as hell check an item before you bought it, to make sure there wasn't some obvious or obscure requirement to use it. Now, people just plop down 60k for a couple hours on a whip, then cry because they can't wield it. Actually, this gives me an idea. See you at the Tip.It Times!
July 14, 200916 yr Minds actually even sell on GE. It takes a couple hours to sell like, 500. A lot more people buy them now since MA. They're one of the best things to buy for MA. ~It's Super Effective! July 14, 200916 yr Well I rarely lend anything in the first place, but if I were ever to stumble upon someone who traded without checking requirements, I'd probably just leave them there to whine. My business is lending the item and earn money. Their business is to provide the money for desired item. I've already satisfied my end of the deal, why should I go an extra mile to make him happy? [hide=]tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :( :lol:But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities. That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. I own. http://linkagg.com/ Not my site, but a simple, budding site that links often unheard-of websites that are amazing for usefulness and fun.
July 14, 200916 yr A little red transparent box shows around the item in the trade screen if they can't wield it or wear it....... #-o. But then again, depending how nice they are about it I would probably give the money back. July 14, 200916 yr i lend them an item for free which they can use. Me and the wise old man go way back.... he was a foolish boy back then. My crystal armour idea.
July 14, 200916 yr I havnt had this problem, but, Id never give their money back. Its like if they purchased the item before the "GE item lookup" that tells you if you can wield it or not. If they cant do their research, its their fault.
July 14, 200916 yr Sounds like you are easy manipulated by nobos.. Runescape player since 2005 Ego Sum Deus Quo Malum Caligo et Barathum
July 14, 200916 yr IF I were to lend out any items, and the borrower would complain because he or she couldn't wield the item.. then I'd say that's not my problem. That person willingly gave me money in order to lend that particular item. It's not my responsibility to check whether he or she is able to wield the item. I'd most likely tell them to gtfo. I'm not here to cater the idiots. Twitter ||| Google+ ||| Facebook ||| LinkedIn ||| My very interesting weblog about science
July 14, 200916 yr ill check the highscores to see if they're lying and if they're not, i'll give them their money back.
July 14, 200916 yr I don't lend items, never have never will, I usually get abuse when I don't when I was going for 99 slayer I got a "SAD NERD" thing was I was slaying in that gear, I think it was alot better when people actually earned their own weapons/armours etc.
July 14, 200916 yr Firstly, I rarely accept money for an item. But if I did, and they couldn't weild it... depends on how they act. That is a pretty [bleep]ing stupid thing to do.
July 14, 200916 yr first off all i would be pissed, because not only the person is wasting the lending time he is also wasting the usefullness of the item, i could have giving it to someone who could use it for time being, secondly if i asked for money hell no i am not giving it back your fault for not being able to weild
July 14, 200916 yr If it was someone i knew a bit, then I woudl certainly give it back. But if I didn't know them, then no way, because I can't garuntee they CAN'T (bar highscores) wield it... and I can't garuntee that they dropped it. So in effect I'm out, and they could easily get the item and the money. Maxed since Sunday, January 9th, 2014Completionist since Wednesday, June 4th, 2014
