March 21, 200620 yr Author sooo... any insight into what the hell mulholand dr. was about? :D im definently going to have to watch it again, and this time concentrate on the movie instead of naomi watts  . Heh, I think I'm going with the dream theorie. :P Although the two world way was what I was thinking during the movie. Going to talk about it with a mate soon, he knows EVERYTHING about the movie. :P But you can't really figure out what Lynch wanted to say with it, as he never gives away anything. Quiz Show - Meh, I don't really care about it. Sure it's a 'true' story and all, but the movie just wasn't very good, I think. The entire body of the movie was kind of pointless, it didn't have to do much with the entire thing; all that happened was some, not even half interesting, quest to find evidence type of stuff. And a lot of famous quote yelling, which I really hate. But other than that it was pretty easy to consume, I guess. When there's really nothing on T.V. and you don't have any other movies at home you want to see: this would be something you could watch. 5.5/10 Les Amants Criminels - Fortunuatly this was better, a lot better. It's an interesing mix of the various genres, combined with a great version of Hansel and Gretel! Instead of a cannibal witch we've got a homosexual-cannibal hunter with a passion for killing rabbits! The plot was shambling a bit here and there, but that wasn't really annoying or something, more a part of the movie, which I kind of liked; some own interpretation. And the visual style at some points was just bluntly copied from Jeunet's DELICATESSEN. The movie brings up a lot of interesting other questions though, and it has got a more than great ending shot. And in various other ways it's a typical Ozon movie. I think this is worth seeing, especially since Ozon is loved amongst the 'younger' (15 - 25) audience. 7.5/10 Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
March 22, 200620 yr Author Me and You and Everyone We Know - Went to our small but cute theater that show scary and obscure 'alternative' movies, and I was all alone. But God, this movie was good, it was goood gooood gooood gooooooood gooooooooooooood gooooooooooooooood goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood. Very, very, very goood goooood gooooooood gooooooooooood gooooooooooooooooood gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood. And bit artsy-fartsy at times though, but still good goooood goooooooooood goooooooooooooooood gooooooooooooooooooooooood goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood. Go see it if you still got the chance. 8/10 Oh, and I found the perfect woman. I've got a bit of a weird ideal for beauty, and I never really saw it before, but now I saw it in this movie! <3<3 Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
March 22, 200620 yr Kill Bill Volume 1 Bloody awesome movie, my friend brought it over and I loved it. Great storyline, really liked the animation, well done Tarantino. One of the best films I've seen in a while. 9/10 Wolf Creek Very freaky movie, my mum chose to watch it aswell.. or at least only half of it. What made this movie even better is the fact that this kind of stuff actually does happen. I think that John Jarratt is a very under-rated actor, he was fantastic in this. 8/10 The 40-year old Virgin My friend also brought this over. This movie was hilarious, kept making me laugh throughout the whole thing. Had good reviews, good actors, 7.5/10
March 25, 200620 yr I watched Amelie a few days ago. It was a bit slow to get started, but once it picked up it was quite excellent. Pretty good acting, excellent direction, some solid humor in the mix, excellent story, it was. There's not much else to say. Last night I watched A History of Violence. It kinda disappointing. It was only 90 minutes, and it never really did too much. The few action scenes were far between, and when it wasn't being action filled, it didn't seem to be doing much. This might be one of the shortest screenplays (in actual words) I've ever seen, as there is a lot of time where almost nothing is happening. It was OK, I guess, but my overall feeling was "meh". This week should be a good one. Ideally, I will watch "Good Night, and Good Luck" today, "Taxi Driver" and "Paths of Glory" mid next week, then "Capote", and "The Squid and the Whale" next weekend.
March 25, 200620 yr Author Cacḫ̩̉̉ - Second time, first time was at a pre-premiere in a big theater. This time it was nice and cosy in the small 'arthouse', with mom and dad. I still loved it, I even loved it more. Without a doubt best movie I've seen in theaters this year, and quite possible the best film I've seen this year, so far. A MUST SEE! 9.5/10!! March 26, 200620 yr V for Vendetta Ahh I just saw this in the cinimas with some friends, i really liked it actually. I'm not even into those movie that much. ahh.. ill say, 7/10 for the ending. Waynes world 1/2 hahh, amazingly halarious, i remember back in grade 6 we watched waynes world 1 at school. Teacher had to turn it off in the middle for the 'rude' jokes. Just watched the 2nd today on tv, brought back some laughs. 8/10 for both
March 26, 200620 yr I just watched Revolver  And if it counts as a 6min film: Severn Suzuki statement at ECO 92 in Rio... ~komodo

March 26, 200620 yr Tonight I'm going to see Cacḫ̩̉̉ for the third time in cinema. I suck. 8)You gotta stop. It's taking over you're life. Anyways, I watched "Good Night, and Good Luck". It wasn't quite what I expected. Great direction, great acting, but I couldn't get involved in the story. It just had no relevance to someone my age...It was a fine movie, just not something I'd probably watch again. This was very short also, like 87 mins.
March 26, 200620 yr Author Tonight I'm going to see Cacḫ̩̉̉ for the third time in cinema. I suck. 8)You gotta stop. It's taking over you're life. Meh, canceled it. :( My mate sudendly got vissitors, and I was going with him because he hadn't seen it. March 26, 200620 yr I just watched Casino.. really good movie. I jsut saw that a few weeks ago too. One of my favorite movies now. Really any movie with DeNiro and Pesci in it, I like. Right now i'm in the middle of watching Heat. (i watch like parts of movies like every other day, end up finishing a movie usually in a week =P) So far so good.
March 27, 200620 yr Author Blue Velvet - Nothing is what it seems to be. Another class Lynch movie. Two thumbs up. 8/10 Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!

On my top 3. :P Ghost: I am prejudice towards ignorance, so that would explain why I appear to be so.
March 28, 200620 yr Just saw A Beautiful Mind. Great movie, wonderfully scripted and filmed. Overall, I'd give it an 8/10. Beer
March 28, 200620 yr i have definently slowed down in the movie watching buisness, just so busy lately. only got to watch two movies since the last time, both i have seen before, but both are good. Lollilove - this may have actually been the last movie i seen before i watched these two movies. anyways, friend wanted to watch it, so i popped it in. just as funny the second time, almost all comedies seem to lose a bit the second time, this one really didnt though. i liked that about it, but my friend almost died laughing from it, so i sold it to him :P Oldboy - first time i watched it i absolutely loved this movie. in fact, i always told everyone it was third on my list. i just watched it for the second time last night, and was kind of worried that it wouldnt live up to that height again. i knew the twists of the story already, knew what it was about. when i watched it again i found out something else though, this movie was done magnificently. the first time i was mostly focused on the subtitles, this time i got to pay more attention to the movie. definently still good enough to be my third favorite movie.
March 28, 200620 yr Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure, was on ITV2 last night. ^_^ Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. March 29, 200620 yr Just watched The Lion King, hadn't seen it since I was like 5. I think I enjoyed it more this time than back then :D Gamertag: King Arizona
March 29, 200620 yr I watched Paths of Glory. It was quite good, acting and writing, and direction, but not amazing (not deserving of it's place on IMDB). It was just good...With a usually clear message. I thought it was pretty good Kubrick in a non-Kubricky sorta way. He really likes his long, (I'm not sure what their called) backing up shots, where he follows someone in one long shot along a long pathway. I'd say pretty good movie. Tommorow is Taxi Driver. I am very excited.
March 29, 200620 yr taxi driver was a great movie. im supposed to write a review of a movie for history class, so i chose paths of glory. hope its easy to write a 3 page review over, i havent seen it before so i dont know  . anyways, looks like i have a rather large collection of planet of the apes movies to watch, so those will start popping up here soon :P

You won't have time to watch all the Planet of the Apses :).

He really likes his long, (I'm not sure what their called) backing up shots, where he follows someone in one long shot along a long pathway. Paths of Glory set the tone for modern action action sequences in war movies. And like all his work it's typically Kubrick, not just visually. Just for that and the ending it's deff. worth it's place on the top 40. Oh, the shot you meant was a tracking shot. Pit Fighter - Bah, this was crap. Turned it off after 22 minutes, horrible.
