Red Dawn - Great movie, or greatest movie? Haha, actually it was a pretty crappy movie. It was highly entertaining though.

Shrek the Third- I enjoyed it. It has many funny parts as well as some far less funny parts.

 

 

 

Blades of GloryDisturbia- I enjoyed this one as well. Highly amusing throughout most of it.

 

 

 

Disturbia- It was good, however somewhat predictable. I still enjoyed it, though.

Harsh Times... starring Christian Bale. Quality actor and an ok movie.

 

 

 

Employee of the Month... could've done with being funnier. Beginning to like Dax Shepard though, he was excellent in Idiocracy.

I watched Van Helsing and National treasure on TV over the weekend. THey were both ok movies not the best not the worst.

 

 

 

The Sweet Hereafter I had high expectations, as my friend has got some weird obsession for this movie and always talks about 'the best movie of the 90s'. I was almost afraid of watching it, because it couldn't be that good. But he was right, well, almost, it's up there with the best movies of the 90s. Everything just fits. The great script, beautiful shots of the cold landscapes, the montage (which isn't just a gimmick, it really adds something), the FANTASTIC acting by Ian Holms (uh, why didn't this man even get a NOMINATION for that Oscar), Sarah Polly <3, and the mysterious soundtrack that fits the 'fairytale' perfect. If you haven't seen it, go for it now!

 

 

 

After that we saw The Bank [bleep] which is hilarious. W.C. Fields is a hero. :lol:

 

 

 

Yesterday we saw Go which was quite entertaining, a bit of a lighter/teen Pulp Fiction. Pretty cool. and the remake of Dawn of the Dead, which was good as well. One of the better horror movies from the past years.

Been a bit busy the last few weeks and I havn't had much time for movies, but i did manage to squeeze in a few films over the weekend.

The Departed - Wow, the best film i've seen in a long time, deserved the awards it got.

Spiderman 3 - Why oh why did I waste ÃÆââââ¬Ã¡Ãâì 8 on this bad, bad sequel? I bet I won't even remember half a scene within a few months.

 

 

 

Quite frankly, I fear for the quality of most "nr 3" sequels coming our way this summer...

Shrek 3 didn't get received very well. But I don't really like Shrek anyway. Pirates 3, I think that one will be cool.

Pirate 2 was bad, 3 doesn't look any better.

 

 

 

Anyways, I watched Half Nelson. It was just something to do as I see it. I don't regret seeing it, but it won't leave an impact and I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to see it. A strong performance by Gosling, who I enjoyed seeing in Stay.

 

 

 

Still can't wait to see Letters from Iwo Jima. :XD:

Blade - The fight scenes were done pretty awesomely, the film was probably just sped up to make him look fast but it was done well. Overall OK, if you like vampire movies go for it.

 

 

 

Blade II - Basically the same as the first, but had a hot leading lady and overall was done better.

 

 

 

Blade: Trinity - A few parts I liked, but overall it was worse than the first two.

 

 

 

"Arrested Development" complete series - I started watching 28 hours ago. All 53 episodes adds up to about 20 hours of footage. Yep, since 7:00 or so last night until about 11:00 tonight I spent watching the show, and sleeping, and I ate once. Holy [cabbage], this show is frakin' awesome. Also, [bleep] FOX for once again canceling one of the greatest shows on television.

The Big Trail it was the Duke's 100th birthday, so I had to watch a movie with him. So it was the big trail, the first role he played, well the first big role. And it was pretty good. Too bad it was such a flop back in the day (Widescreen), and made Wayne play in low budget junk.

Watched Good Night, and Good Luck last night. I'm studying it as a related text for English, so in terms of the module, it was a great film. For pure entertainment, probably not the most thrilling.

Pirates Of The Carribean 3: At Worlds End

 

 

 

the movie was a bit weird, very hard to follow, but the battles were awesome

 

 

 

just near the power went out, everyone in the cinema started laughing, it was a little funny but i wanted o see to the very end really badly

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End - I enjoyed it. Better than the second, not quite as good as the first.

 

 

 

Se7en - Great, as always, even though I have seen it a good amount of times it still seems as awesome as the first. Watched it with a friend, who surprisingly didn't really love it. I almost always hear good things about it.

 

 

 

Letters from Iwo Jima - Like other Clint Eastwood films, it was made pretty well. Also rated pretty highly by others. I enjoyed it and everything, it just seems like everyone else enjoys it is a lot more.

 

 

 

Pink Floyd The Wall - Pretty screwed up, but I really enjoyed it. It didn't really seem to make any sort of plot very clear, other than this rock star is [bleep]ed up and crazy. Not a movie I see myself watching over and over, but it's good the first time. Crazy hooked on Pink Floyd's music right now, maybe that's why I liked it so much.

The last movie i saw was I am david. it was 3 and a half stars out of five.

Pretty good serial killer movie. A bit of a change from the usual drudgery. I really enjoyed the ancient Parisian settings and the story premise was excellent. 8/10 :thumbsup:

Karate Kid I remember this watching it when I was very young. I was with my grandparents, and I was watching this with my grandma. The blind and deaf dog Floortje was on the couch and I had bugels and coke, I thought it was so good at the time. And now that Floortje, Mr. Miyagi and grandma passed away I saw it again. And thank God, it was still fantastic.

I really liked Perfume but I didn't like the Matrix style sniffing scene on the mountain and the ending with the mass nakedness. That seemed a little stupid.

Shake, Rattle and Rock So...This is what your grandparents got to see at the drive in. A bunch of squares want to ban Rock 'n Roll because it spoils todays (read the 50s) youth. Nelson, 'Axe' and the kids of Teen Town disagree of course. After some hustling and songs from Fats Domino and Joe Turner there comes a courtcase where the squares need to prove that Rock 'n Roll is bad, and Nelson and the kids need to prove that it isn't. I don't need to tell you that everything works out fine. Not very good (not that I was expecting that), but a lot of fun. Too bad that the character 'Axe' was a little bit annoying. The Funeral guy and Horace were pretty funy though. Not to be missed for the Zappa fan.
