May 30, 200719 yr Se7en - Great, as always, even though I have seen it a good amount of times it still seems as awesome as the first. Watched it with a friend, who surprisingly didn't really love it. I almost always hear good things about it. Also just watched it. Watched it twice in fact. Once on TNT(where is was edited and I missed some parts in the middle) and once on dvd. It was incredible, suspenseful and makes me <3 Kevin Spacey for all his works that I've seen so far.
May 31, 200719 yr Con Air: It's been a good few years since I seen this and I forgot how awesome of a movie it is. It's pretty cheesy but what do you expect from a Nick Cage flick :) Gamertag: King Arizona
May 31, 200719 yr Condemned. I saw it in theaters. It was horrible. Flat out terrible. I want to see Knocked Up tomorrow, ill post back on how it was if/when I see it. 122 Combat : 99 Hits : 99 Attack : 99 Strength97/99 Defence : 99 Fletching : 99 Woodcutting
May 31, 200719 yr All that talk about Se7en made me go out an buy it. Watched it yesterday :D Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. (german ftw)I'm invulnerable to everything, except Lenin and Dragoonson. That's impossible. I love people.[/hide]
June 1, 200719 yr Twelve Monkeys - wtf! that's all I can say about this movie. It was great, but wtf!
June 1, 200719 yr The Last King of Scotland - another fantastic film, Forrest Whitaker was superb, absolutely superb and the screenplay was very well written. Dreamgirls - entertaining enough, but I expected something better. I actually expected a 'Walk the Line' for the Supremes but it was nothing like that, shame really. "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"
June 1, 200719 yr Apocalypto - 2nd time watching it..what a fantastic film! I really can't believe it didn't get the acclaim it deserved. I love how within the first few minutes you are immediately able to associate with the main characters (even tho they lived ~500 years ago)...some things just don't change. Once it really gets going, it's pretty much non-stop action the rest of the way. It is subtitled, but really there is very limited need for dialogue, especially towards the end of the movie. Be warned there is an ample amount of violence/gore (imo, it's all necessary and comes across to me as realistic). There's a lot of undertones of philosphy throughout the movie, which I think certain viewers would appreciate, unfortunately those same viewers might be turned off by the violence. I think that's maybe why it didn't do as well as it should have.
June 2, 200719 yr Black Book, again. You really wouldn't beleive it's by the man who made Basic Instinct and Total Recall. I mean it's so non hollywood and well scripted it's brilliant. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

IT'S CALLED ZWARTBOEK!!!! But good that you saw it. :P It's indeed a fantastic movie. But non-hollywood? You should see more of Paul Verhoeven's dutch movies: Turks Fruit (Turkish Delight) Soldaat van Oranje (Soldier of Orange) De Vierde Man (The Fourth Man) Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
June 2, 200719 yr It was the first dutch Verhoeven film that I saw, i first saw it at the cinema awhile ago but got it on DVD a few days ago. I'll try to get ahold of some of his others. The Fourth Man sounds interesting :P With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. June 2, 200719 yr Also just watched it. Watched it twice in fact. Once on TNT(where is was edited and I missed some parts in the middle) and once on dvd. It was incredible, suspenseful and makes me <3 Kevin Spacey for all his works that I've seen so far. Yeah, Kevin Spacey is one of my favourite (if not my favourite) current actors. Awesome in this movie. "Blade: The Series" - Cast horribly. The first episode was absolutely terrible, and by the end it was up to "almost not a complete waste of time, but still is." If you absolutely love Blade you still won't like this, because they make him a complete little [bleep] in this movie. "Birds of Prey" - After just completing the Blade series, I was skeptical about another TV show based on a comic book. Also, this is DC, and Blade was Marvel (which I like much better). Then after a very [cabbage]ty pilot, I was really not looking forward to watching the rest of the series. I have this problem where I have to finish things though, so I did end up watching the rest. It actually turned out OK overall, still I wouldn't bother watching it unless you like the Birds of Prey comic book storyline. Orange County - Another generic high school movie. Enjoyable, but not much else.
June 2, 200719 yr The Fountain. Now that was one weird movie. I can understand why so many people didn't like it, but I quite enjoyed it. It's definately a movie that's wide open to interpretation, and I believe most people's annoyance stems from a very odd storyline. It is quite open and vague at times, and the movie clearly relys on you, the view to draw your own conclusions. I'd tell you mine, but I'd fill a screen lol. 8/10
June 3, 200719 yr The Fountain. Now that was one weird movie. I can understand why so many people didn't like it, but I quite enjoyed it. Uhg, I hated that movie. It was just so dry and so long, and the ambiguity of the plot turned me off. Different people, different strokes I guess :) Gamertag: King Arizona

It may not have rolling on the floor laughing hysterically parts to it, but you will enjoy it every time you watch it. My favourite Wes Anderson movie, and I loved them all.
June 3, 200719 yr The Royal Tenenbaums: It was a lot different than I expected when I saw it the first time, and I was really put off by it. But I decided to give it another chance and rented it today and I gotta say it's a pretty good movie. Very Wes Anderson-esque feel to it and has a great cast. Gamertag: King Arizona

But I decided to give it another chance and rented it today and I gotta say it's a pretty good movie. Very Wes Anderson-esque feel to it and has a great cast. Along with Rushmore in my post above, we have 3/4 of Wes Anderson's major movies watched. Just need someone to watch Bottle Rocket. The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou - I remember the first time I watch this, I felt very "meh" about it. I have no idea why, because it is a [bleep]ing awesome movie. Possibly my favourite Wes Anderson movie, but after I watch one that one is always my favourite. Just yesterday Rushmore was my favourite. They are all awesome, and I am really looking forward to Christmas this year, when his next movie comes out.
June 4, 200719 yr Author Life Aquatic is my favorite as well. I didn't really like The Royal Tenenbaums all that much. Yesterday I saw Here comes Mr. Jordan which is the orignal version of Down to Earth and Heaven Can Wait (Warren Beaty movie, NOT the Lubitsch one), and it was really enjoyable. :) Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
June 4, 200719 yr Shaun of the Dead ^_^ I love Simon Pegg and Jessica Stevenson was looking pretty fit too :P Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. June 4, 200719 yr Author Hey Indy, I got Bottle Rocket in last week, shall we watch it together? :P Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
June 4, 200719 yr Hey Indy, I got Bottle Rocket in last week, shall we watch it together? :P I still need to buy it, sadly Rushmore is the only Anderson I own. I already spent $100 this month on DVDs, need to take it a little slower :D . EDIT: Damnit, I knew I shouldn't have checked to see how much they cost, I ended up buying all three.

I've completely cut back on the number of DVDs I've been buying since the release of blueray and HD. Don't wanna spend too much cash on a format that i'll need to replace again (only 8 years after replacing my VHS collection) :( Ain't buying any of the new format stuff yet until it's clear which format is going to be the most popular.

You'll never win the format war, that is why I am still buying DVDs. Anyway you go, you lose. Blu-Ray and HD-DVD are only going to be the major ones for a little while, and are probably going to be the last disc format. After that everything will be distributed through the Internet, and then we will have a format war of epic proportions (already like 20 out there).

"Have you seen Pirates of the Caribbean 12 yet?" "Nope, I've bought and downloaded it five time, but can't seem to find the correct codec for it" lol
