June 9, 200719 yr Finally watched Letters from Iwo Jima. I enjoyed it, I felt like it was quite a good movie, but I watched it at the wrong time...After being stressed all week (therefore getting far less sleep than normal), then having 6 hours of school and 6 hours of work yesterday, I started watching at 12:15 in the morning. So needless to say, it didn't matter what movie it was, I would have been dosing. Luckily I didn't fully fall asleep. But this was the only time I could watch it; I'll take a few hours where I can get em to watch a movie, seeing as how I work into the morning tonight, and it has to go back on Sunday morning. And I can't watch during the day because there's too many people moving in my tiny house. But despite being sooo tired, I kinda enjoyed it. I would like to watch it again when I could pay attention more.
June 10, 200719 yr Knocked Up - Funny, but I am going to have to go against the majority of people and say I still liked 40 Year Old Virgin better. Maybe because I can relate to it more? haha.
June 10, 200719 yr Author Shadows The 'birth' of the American Independent Cinema is almost 50 years ago. But still this movie is surprisingly fresh, and holds up very well between all that forced indie junk that's coming out the past years. Everything is nice and lose (the movie is completely improvised) and very well guided with an excellent jazz score. Also cuddo's for how daring Cassavetes was. You gotta have some balls to portray the 'white man' as the intruder of a black family, and complaining about painfull penetrations isn't something that got appreciated much back in the day. Must see. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
June 10, 200719 yr The Omen (original) Loving the scene with the glass pane. Ouch Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. We feel your status in real-life shouldn't affect your ability to be successful in RuneScape" Jagex 01/04/01 - 02/03/12
June 10, 200719 yr Pirates of the Carribbean: At World's End - wasn't as bad as all the critics made it out, I enjoyed it, and although it was hard to follow in places 3 hours of Keira Knightley is no bad thing in my opinion. Some scenes seemed a bit thrown together, but others worked well. "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"
June 10, 200719 yr Author Double Indemnity - The two most imporant words in movie history since Broken Blossoms! It's fantastic, I'm a huge Billy Wilder fan, he can't do much wrong in my book. And this is one of the greatest noirs ever made. I love it. Fred MacMurry's gentle touch for the badguy, Barbara playing the femme fatale and Robinson stealing the show as, surprise, a good guy! "It sounds crazy, Keyes, but it's true, so help me. I couldn't hear my own footsteps. It was the walk of a dead man. " Brilliant. Just as the ending, cut off at the perfect moment. Must see. Oh, and yesterday evening I saw Death Proof with a large bowl of popcorn and lotsa beer. And what a treat it was! We had a great time! Although paying homages to your own movies is kind of not-done, Quentin. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
June 10, 200719 yr Ocean's 13. Watched it at the cinema last night. It was excellent! About as good as the first one, and considerably better than the second. The plot was excellent with a huge list of characters. You have to pay attention to this, as most of them are important. The plot was pretty intricate, but not overly complex and there's a couple of clever twists (which most Ocean fans will no doubt see coming). Overall, and awesome movie and I give it 9/10 :) Oh, and what a cast!!!
June 11, 200719 yr Author Nobi Wow. One of the heaviest war movies I have ever seen. The soldiers don't really feel they have any purpose; they don't fight for their country, they don't want to return to their girlfriend or something. It's all pointless for them. They just wander around a bit, trying to survive, but they don't really care if they die either. It's rather depressive. The movie has got some pitch black humor in it, but that couldn't cheer me up either. The movie wants to portray war as the ultimate evil, and it succeeds. Very good. June 11, 200719 yr American History X  Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. June 11, 200719 yr American History X  Yeah, the "Bite the curb" scene is pretty darn brutal! Still an awesome movie though.... one of my favourites.
June 12, 200719 yr Maxed Out Pretty good film, makes me worry if im going to be amble to pay for med school now though. (My grades arent the best) Sig
June 14, 200719 yr Author Pocket Money A bit of an 'odd' western. It hasn't got those wide open landscapes of the old days, no romantic heroes, it actually is more like a document of todays cowboy (the today of 1972). And that's a pretty cool angle. Unfortunuatly the movie itself isn't as good. It doesn't really 'flow' well, with the exception of some scenes I expected a lot more from the duo Newman/Marvin (which are two fantastic actors), and also the jazzy score seemed a bit out off place. But that despite that it's still acceptable quality and it's a pretty relaxing watch. Cinematography by no less then LÃÆÃâÃâászlÃÆÃâÃâó KovÃÆÃâÃâács (Five Easy Pieces), script by 'Terry' Malick (Thin Red Line) and directed by Stuart Rosenberg (Cool Hand Luke). June 15, 200719 yr Bottle Rocket - While I can never choose my favourite Wes Anderson movie, this is the one I usually rate last. That means it is still awesome, just not quite as awesome as the others. You should view that statement as "oh, the others must be spectacular" rather than "oh, this one must suck." Because it doesn't suck, it is great. If all the other ones were 10/10, this one would be 9.5/10 (not what I would rate them, but the general idea stands). Ghost Rider - I've said many a time that I enjoy comic book movies. Probably a lot more than I should. So I enjoyed this movie. As far as I can tell, I am the only one. I also hold nothing against Nicolas Cage. As far as I can tell, I am the only one on that issue too. Was the movie award winning? Not by a long shot. I still enjoyed it though. Fantastic Four - In case you missed my reminder above, I enjoy comic book movies. I also really enjoyed this movie. There weren't any great performances in it, but they did OK. The story was a generic FF4 story, which was OK. The special effects looked good at times, and that was cool. An enjoyable movie. Had to watch it again since I am going to see FF4: RotSS tomorrow.
June 16, 200719 yr SiCKO: Michael Moore's newest film about the absurdity of the American healthcare system, whilst also glorifying the socialized healthcare in countries such as Canada, UK, France, and... Cuba. The focus is primarily on a few people with their own nightmares dealing with insurance companies; namely several post 9/11 rescue workers. I thought it was particularly interesting just because of all the hassle and trouble my family and I have had with insurance since I went through several cancer treatments over the past year. Politically, it's a lot less charged than Moore's last film so don't let that stop you from seeing it, it's a pretty interesting flick :) Gamertag: King Arizona
June 16, 200719 yr Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer - I enjoyed it. Dawn of the Dead - I love zombie movies :D .
June 17, 200719 yr Author Snakes on a Plain overhyped junk. I'm sorry. It's just a bad movie. It tries too hard to be a 'b-movie', but it's production is way too high. It played 40 minutesn too long and I was bored to death most of the time. This kind of stuff is no better than a movie like 'White Chicks'. It's just marketed differently. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
June 17, 200719 yr Snakes on a Plain Sounds like a wildlife programme :P I've not seen it yet, but the only reason I would watch it was because of the hilarious hype and parodies on the net in the run up to it's release. BTW, White Chicks I think was a good movie to watch if you wanted something easy going and something to laugh at. It even made me laugh the 2nd time I watched it a couple of weeks ago.
June 17, 200719 yr I've not seen it yet, but the only reason I would watch it was because of the hilarious hype and parodies on the net in the run up to it's release. That was the only funny part of it, seeing the viral marketing take over the Internet. The movie was a massive let down. Dawn of the Dead - Did I mention I love zombie movies?
June 18, 200719 yr Shrek Third. I watched it last Sunday. First - Credit to Otbg . Second - Credit to 4be2jue
June 21, 200719 yr Alien [hide]Brilliant film, exactly the way I like my horrors. Very suspenseful and not too heavy on the gore. I loved the way the characters got killed off, especially the dude in the Airshaft.[/hide] The bad special effects were pretty funny too. Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar!
June 22, 200719 yr Ghost Rider - I've said many a time that I enjoy comic book movies. Probably a lot more than I should. So I enjoyed this movie. As far as I can tell, I am the only one. I just saw this 2 days ago, and I must agree with you. It was good. Not great, but good.
June 22, 200719 yr Bewitched in class yesterday. I wasn't impressed. If Will Ferrel wasn't in it it would've been terrible, but he made it funny. ^Sir Jem 05-The Bunny Drinking Blog?^ Click it!

June 23, 200719 yr Tigerland - a Vietnam war movie set on a training base. Kinda like the first half of Full Metal Jacket, but without as much verbal abuse from Drill Sergents lol. 8/10
