September 15, 200718 yr A History Of Violence - Wasn't dark, wasn't edgy, everytime someone was brought into the storyline Viggo killed them within 5 minutes of learning something interesting. Making it not interesting and pretty damn ridiculous. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.
September 16, 200718 yr Run Fatboy Run - It isn't the best movie out there but it definitely is not the worst. I thought it was quite funny regardless of what some critics wrong Got home and watched Independance Day, surely I don't have to comment on it, it's a classic.

Making it not interesting and pretty damn ridiculous. common it wasnt that bad..it wasn't good either (i loved Maria Bello as Viggo's wife)..3/5 Pan's Labyrinth - some surprisingly violent scenes, some nice ideas but the overall didn't leave any imprints 2.5/5
September 16, 200718 yr Ocean's Eleven, Ocean's Twelve, and Ocean's Thirteen - They are OK movies I guess. Kind of pretentious at times though. Also, like other movies with thieves as the main characters, they try and justify their stealing. The first movie it's just because the casino owner is a jackass and is going out with a girl. Second movie they tried to give them more reason, by saying they were "forced" into it. Third movie they realized those last two reasons were lame so they made the enemy almost kill someone. At the end it's OK though because the enemies get their money back from insurance. Meh, a lot more to complain about but I don't feel like it. Still they are kind of entertaining.

September 17, 200718 yr The 'burbs - Absolutely hilarious. Awesome movie you can watch over and over again. I'll admit I am biased a little bit, this movie has a lot of the nostalgia factor going for it with me.
September 17, 200718 yr Author Yesterday at the film festival: A Mighty Heart the last movie by Michael Winterbottom, it was a bit of a let down. The start was very good, but the movie got a little bit uninteressting while it carried on. Got back good at the ending though. Holly About child prostitution, in Cambodia. Pretty rough material. It was shot in the brothels in Cambodia so it had a really authentic feeling around it. Rough camera, beautiful score, 'cool' characters. It is kind of draining though. And what was a bit funny. The filmmaker that introduced the movie to us said that he wanted to take a different angle on the movie and not make a hollywood like movie. But while watching the movie I got more and more the feeling that I was watching something heavinly influenced by classic noir movies. September 17, 200718 yr 28 Weeks Later. Fantastic movie. Really beginning to enjoy Boyle's stuff. Almost as good as Sunshine and the prequel 28 days later. There's been so many good zombie movies over the last few years... and this one does not disappoint. 9/10
September 18, 200718 yr Waterworld - It could have been so much better. EDIT: Another one Hard Candy - Awesome.
September 19, 200718 yr A History Of Violence - Wasn't dark, wasn't edgy, everytime someone was brought into the storyline Viggo killed them within 5 minutes of learning something interesting. Making it not interesting and pretty damn ridiculous. IMO it was AWESOME. :D I saw Disturbia two days ago, and it was lame....quite a dissappointment. Got flashbacks from 'Rear window' but that didn't make it any better. Also....why is it tagged horror on IMDB? "Metal isn't about violence or faggy whiny lyrics. It isn't even about who plays the heaviest and fastest. It is about invoking a sense of wonder and magnitude that no other genre can depict."
September 19, 200718 yr Author Yesterday I saw Once at the festival. And it was pretty awesome. It's with the singer from the frames, and his girlfriend. And they live in Ireland, and they want to make music, and they have got troubles. And. <3 <3 Beautiful soundtrack. Too bad they only played three songs at the 'concert' after the movie, and even worse that those [wagon] from Blof had to show up again forcing their sh*t upon us, making it a thirteen in a dozen preformance instead of a great acoustic set. But the movie was great, recommended! Saturday going to see Away from Her and Atonement. Wanted to see SzabadsÃÆÃâÃâág, szerelem (children of glory) and Iszka utazÃÆÃâÃâása (Iska's Journey) today, but bad weather, and football on tonight, so I got to miss them. :( I can see Children of Glory on sunday, but unfortunuatly they don't play Iska's Journey anymore. :( Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!

September 20, 200718 yr I'm torn between seeing Shoot 'Em Up and Super Bad tomorrow night.... anyone recommend one over the other?
September 20, 200718 yr SuperBad is super bad, if that helps. Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. September 20, 200718 yr SuperBad is super bad, if that helps. LOL, Shoot 'Em Up it is then... cheers \
September 22, 200718 yr No Direction Home, the documentary about Bob Dylan's rise to success in the 60's and is directed by Scorsese. Most indepth documentary on him i have seen and very well done. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. September 22, 200718 yr Resident Evil, Resident Evil: Apocalypse, and Resident Evil: Extinction - Definitely not great movies. I enjoy them though. Milla Jovovich is hot in all of them, and there is usually another girl that is also hot (1. Michelle Rodriguez, 2. Sienna Guillory, 3. Ali Larter). Would definitely not be on the top of a zombie movie list, but if you do like zombie movies they are worth a watch.
September 23, 200718 yr Author Yesterday at the filmfestival": Away from her Sarah Polly debut as a director. Atom Egoyan's influence is cleary vissable. It's a pretty daring theme for somebody her age; alzheimer. And it was a pretty rough watch, although she could have gotten some more about it. Still very good though, especially for a debut. Atonement haven't read the book, but the movie was very good. Finally a sort of 'costume drama' that has that special visual thing again. Especially the 4 minute shot at Duinkerke was brilliant. Eastern Promises Yay. We had an 'exclusive' premiere for this movie (well, it played at toronto, but I believe that was all), and there were all kind of 'important' people in the hall (Ben Kingsley, Alex van Warmerdam, we sat next to him), and it was so amazing. But I'm a bit of a Cronenberg fanboy. It's about russian mob in England. And it's amazong, so go see it. September 23, 200718 yr Shoot 'Em Up. - thought it was excellent. A total carry on really.... reminded me of Crank. 8/10 Wild Hogs - not very good at all. Lesson learned though... if it stars Tim Allen... stay clear ;) 3/10
September 23, 200718 yr Across the Universe, I saw it yesterday, if you like the Beatles music, its a must, if you don't, it's still a good movie. I don't listen to the Beatles much but I'd still give it a 9/10. (It's not about the Beatles, but it's a movie based on their lyrics)
September 23, 200718 yr Yes I do, sorry, I was at a long party yesterday, my memory isn't in good shape, because of, uh... lack of sleep.
