Albel
Crying doesn't achieve anything. Anger is a much more useful emotion. I disagree. I fell as though crying is a release of emotion. Ive tried anger for that, and I end up breaking something, something that can not be replaced (Such as a releationship, or a priceless gift from someone special...you can see were this is going) Crying releases emotion in you, and at the same time is peacful, so nothing is damaged in the process. Nom
I cry over books. A lot. Not like full-out bawling. A tear or two. Just means it's a good book. I would never have believed it physically possible to cry for two hours. I would just get tired of it.

When I get angry, I start feeling some hatred towards the thing that caused me to be angry, and I have the urge to defeat it. Anger makes me want to fix my problems. I'm usually full of energy when I'm angry too which makes it easier to act on it, as opposed to doing nothing in my bed. indy500fan
I don't see a problem with crying, but there are reasons why men don't usually cry from social status to chemical balances. When you get older you probably won't cry anymore except during the worst of times. Right now I still tear up sometimes, but never cry. The last three times that I've come close to crying have all been listening to a story on NPR (Tienanmen Square anniversary, the riots in Iran and something last week that I can't recall). Luckily this is while driving in the car alone. EDIT: It was "14 Cows for America" on The Story. http://thestory.org/archive/the_story_8 ... s.mp3/view
Riku3220
With social networking sites such as MySpace, Fackbook, and Bebo and with the rapid use of cell phones have you seriously been crying over friends going to high school? It's only going to be their freshman year as well so it's not like they're going to be buried in books. Keep this up and you'll run out of tears before they leave for college. Anyways the last time I cried was when my brother left for basic training in the army, I kept getting dreams of him being shot in Iraq and it was even worse when he wasn't in the room we shared. runescapeloser22
I haven't cried from something sad in a while. The last time I cried was when I got extremely angry and aggravated. Crying is usually considered a weakness, which means you aren't "manly". I myself don't believe that but most people in the world do, sadly. jjrox32
I honestly can't remember the last time I cried. I very rarely cry over sad things, and when I get hurt one of two things happen, a)I don't notice it due to adrenaline, or B) I just get really pissed off. evil_mumm_ra
i remember the last time i cried. it was just over a year ago when i had a whole [cabbage]ty situation with my now ex, and was suicidal. that's the only time i've cried in the past year. before that, i have no clue the last time i cried. control your emotions, the only emotions i show are happiness and anger and love. you've gotta get me really happy or really angry though. otherwise i'm mostly indifferent. even if i care about people and things are emotional, i don't cry, i'll tear up sometimes, but i never actually cry anymore. it's all about control and being a cynical hardass. Adam007
Now hey, don't listen to these people. It's alright to cry. [yt]bqWo-GswzJY[/yt] I don't know why I remember the existence of that video. Anyway, there's nothing wrong with a man crying, it just sounds like you do it in excess. If there's a deeper problem, I'd go to someone for help. That sounds like borderline depression to me if you're crying that much. Again there's nothing wrong with it, but I do think as you get older you'll man up a bit (excuse the phrase, I don't mean to sound insensitive) and cry less. Wisp
Crying doesn't achieve anything. Anger is a much more useful emotion. It lets emotions out, so they don't just brew in you forever. I tend not to cry too much, most of my friends cry if their boyfriends break up with them, or something like that that's not actually really important. I'd cry if someone I love died, but not much else. I do get teary eyed sometimes, but not actually crying. Hegemony-Spain
Returned3
There's different levels of crying and so many different variations of it. There's the type where you simple shed a tear or two and that's it, then there's the type where you're pysically hurt in the sensitive place, there's also the type where a loved one passed away (But no one will blame you for this), there's also those "girl" type of emotional crying. It's okay to cry, I remember shedding tears last year as I watched Ric Flair being pinned as it marked the end of his career. It was a really emotional moment and I ahd nothing to be embarassed about. However if you want my frank opinion, crying for 2 hours seems to me what girls would do. 00:00:0500:00:0400:00:0300:00:0200:00:0100:00:00 Break the Walls down! sandycat0
Due to the differences in hormones, men actually do cry about 1/5 as much as women. I think crying is good though, it releases your emotions and makes you feel better and more calm after you're done. RIP Chuck Schuldiner

i_love_burritos
It is a fickle science, the one that is of manliness. You always while crying have to maintain a state of passive coolness. Also, obviously there are degrees of crying which all have their own specialities and can be used in certain situations. For example like Bruce Lee in Fist of Fury where he jumps into the grave and starts digging out his teacher [coffin now] with his bare hands. While crying mind you. So yes and no. EdgedThesis
Not a science at all, sir. An art, something intuitive and something that cannot be learned. The epitome of manliness is to be able to shrug off what others say. I think you are weak. What do you think? If you disagree, then good. You've ignored what I said. If you agree, even better. You ignored the first thing I said. The epitome of manliness can be unerring humility, and to be so is to acknowledge your own weakness. But I don't want to go among mad people!Oh, you can't help that. We're all mad here..."
