I'm 14, the minimum age to work here in the state of Maine. So, what's the best way to find and get a job?

Go to all sorts of places (at fourteen, more likely to work at a restaurant or something) dressed fairly nicely, and ask if they need any part-time help. I doubt you can get full-time.

 

Or, mow lawns. In some places (like here ...) it can be really hard and competitive, but apparently that's not the norm.

I pump on music and do some hard work. Or a workout. Hell, running is fine if that's all you have. But right now, I'm tearing out some concrete in our backyard (shovel and sledgehammer) and putting up our fence (solo dolo [bleep]es), and I haven't been happier in a long time. Endorphins, right? I just call it being a badass, but whatevs m8s.

Yeah like youtube cat videos It is our last class and I just don't care since it is our last class but I need a way to relate it to the class and if I find some sort of fan group or website that has a collection of videos I'll have a legit reason to show a cat video.

Sometimes being polite just doesn't cut off. If you wanna be polite, you're going to have to keep trying nicely. If not, just forget about politeness, some people just can't understand when you ask them politely.

I would start an argument with them about something, and go as sexist as you can. Either something along the lines of "Shut up, you have ovaries" or "Shouldn't you take your conversation to the kitchen?" It'll leave 'em speechless, that's for sure. Try not to get slapped. Add Aussie colloquialisms as necessary.

Hey, what career should I go into? LOL. I want to study human behavior, but am at a cross roads of Anthropology, Cognitive Psychology, and Philosophy. Anyone have any expertise in any of these fields? I was contemplating making a topic discussing all of them sometime tomorrow after work.

I'm planning to be an engineer (probably mechanical or nuclear), but cognitive psychology has always interested me.

Alright, this is going to be another one of my "I hate people" posts.

 

I have a friend who constantly gets picked on, by EVERYONE, except me and a few other friends. He's really obese, which is a fact that his classmates just love to point out, into history and science, getting him the "nerd" label, and has very weak social skills because he has Asperger syndrome.

 

While I've learned to deal with people that do stuff like this to me (laugh and play along with them, and when they realize you're not pissed off, THEY get pissed off, resulting in lulz), he tends to try and just ignore it, which has not helped at all, and he's been really affected by it. We're talking about nearly the entire school of 1000+ people, and violence will make them seem like the victims and us as the aggressors, which means that Mjollnir will have to sit this one out.

 

Any ideas? I hate seeing him treated this way.

I'd recommend consulting one of your more sensible teachers. A kid with Aspergers getting made fun of by the entire school is not a light issue and a teacher would definitely realize that.

Does anyone know how to recreate this sculpture? I mean the 'dripping' part, not the bust. So let's say I've created the bust, then what do I do to create the drippy effect?

 

Supposedly it was created with plastic (said on the artist's page). Do you think it's possible to do this with .. paint and.. glue? Or something else other than plastic?

The stuff you gotta use for that stuff has to already be in solid form (unless that picture is from the inside of a beer fridge) so glue and/or paint won't work. You need something that's solid and that melts nicely... plastic sounds perfect to me :thumbup:
