That's good, i know those guys and didn't know if you were one of them without me knowing :lol:

 

 

 

Not too sure wether i'm too keen on these new monsters. Those drops looks so incredibly rare, but then again, they aren't a boss monster. But also listening to Paw's post, they can do just as much damage as a boss.

* Adjusted pyre log code so you don't use extra doses of sacred oil (Sacred oil (2) would empty rather than change to Sacred oil (1)).
So that's what happened while I was doing that quest on my noob... I thought maybe it needed two doses for whatever dumb reason. Looked and was like, "Huh, weird, I thought I made three full doses, but I've already used up one entirely on one set of logs?" :lol:

 

 

 

-_- Time to start leveling up my other stats on the noob account so that I can finish up the dwarf quests, among others. Blaaaah.

In fairness i should think u negate alot of damage with the right gear and prayer.

 

 

 

When i got pwned i was in melee gear with boots of lightness, spottier cape and penance gloves.

 

 

 

So I wasnt exactly tanking it agaisnt range damage. Plus during the quest dialogue hand cannon is a mix of mage and ranged, but ranged prayer certainly seems to block it

I, for one, think the mine is the best part of the reward. They've mixed in a generous helping of 10 addy & 8 gold spawns along with 2 runite spawns. It's the first runite mine where it's actually worth it not to world-hop.

The rewards for this quest are insanely good for the third part in a five part series. Compare them to the Dorgeshuun quest earlier this year, the capstone to a quest arc, and it really is quite sad.

 

 

 

Also, though they fixed shards and raised some caps, Jagex still isn't done fixing personalized shops. Bone Bolts come to mind... Furthermore, why couldn't they have fixed this last week? In no way did this interfere with the Dwarf quest.

If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system.

 

Yeah, it is a pking minigame, so any arguments anybody makes will probably be biased.

The best way this will end :Everybody just says,"I'm not arguing with you anymore, goodbye."

The worst way this will end: I don't really know, psychological warfare? Worldwide thermonuclear war? Pie eating contest?

I was personally once again disappointed by Mod John A's attempt at making a quest. I felt he dropped the ball on the dorgeshuun finisher, and I don't think he did any better on this one. The rewards were quite good, however the quest really was just filler. It was devoid of suspense and lacked a concrete climax. It really didn't answer any questions, and it really didn't raise any new ones either. It looked good and had good rewards, otherwise it was totally unremarkable.

I was just loitering around examining things among the chaos and got rol'd from full hp in around 6 seconds or so before I knew I was being hit...I was in bandos with a dfs as well so I suppose that says something for their accuracy? or maybe I just had a lot of bad luck.

about the muddy key if they made the mith bar, mith dagger and anchovy pizza all into bank notes so you could turn in 25 or more keys at once it wouldnt be so bad. But until they do that or unless they changed whats in the chest its a waste of time to go out there 6 keys at a time.

 

 

 

The Muddy Chest is outdated. I don't think they would even bother to do so. Just drop the keys, it's what I've been doing.

Has anyone been to the chest to see if its been changed? It seems pointless to make a muddy key a drop for a new monster if its still the same crap in there from 7 years ago....

 

 

 

Possibly there's a chance to get the pick from the chest?

So is the battlefield pretty easy to kill things in? I haven't done the quest yet but from what I've seen it doesn't seem too hard..?

 

 

 

Well atm its not very hard because there so many people, basicly all npc's die within a few second. But if you're alone there I think they can do some serious damage.

 

 

 

It is multicombat with aggressive rangers who hit high. Mind you I was focusing on trying to get to cannoners before others, but I had one of my rare deaths there due to not watching my hit points. Even with bunyip and 300+ range defense, and every spawn being camped, I ended up in a spot of trouble. Soloing this could prove to be somewhat more tricky then one might think.

Really? I will agree that the Chosen Commander was less than impressive, however I enjoyed this quest. Looks to me as though things are only just starting to get good.[/hide]

Are combat familiars or support familiars more useful?

 

 

 

 

 

Healers aren't going to be of much use given the potential for quickly inflicted damage. Praying range seems to be the likely means of successfully fighting them. So I would suggest storage familiars for holding ppots.

Has anyone tried pickpocketing the Dwarf Traders? There's a list of their loot, but I'm interested in how often you get Runite or Adamantite ores and bars.

Only thing I'm disappointed about is that the pickaxe doesn't have the quest completion as a requirement to us it. Gotta do this quest but I have a paper to finish by friday and I have yet to start. #-o
