Wasnt there a Seren prayer a while ago leaked in the knowledge base?

Not sure if it was fake or not, but didnt it say something about Ice Magics holding you for a shorter time?

Would fit good in with the recent Extreme Magic potion.

I don't have a picture, but heres the video.

 

 

If you look carefully, there is an * whch says: Hold time is not reduced against Ancient Magicks Ice spells.

 

Not much use then for that...

that "fake leak" can't be true...if you're going to corp beast, up to 17 damage! and with jad up to 25 damage...it'll make players "overpowered" :lol:

thank god I got 70 prayer now before this then. Dragon bones are absurdly too high these days. :|

I reckon it's been changed so it no longer reflects the Saradomin icon, so different God prayers may be coming soon.

I think the idea of "other god prayers" is stupid.

 

All the lore type info about prayer atm is that ALL the prayers are granted by whichever god you pray too. Eg if you are zamorakian he gives u protect from melee, if you are sara boy you get it from sara etc.

 

Though i do agree symbol is being de-saradomined to show this genereal status

Saradomin deals with prayers, so when you give dead creatures / people an honourable burial in his name it makes him pay closer attention to you, and help you out in little ways that Guthix won't notice.

 

Personally, I think when you kill something you should just take its bones and trade them for something decent. Like a sword, which will help you get MORE bones.

 

Or just, you know, drop them in mud and pour bad wine over them or something. Just to annoy Saradomin.

 

Saradomin is very amusing when annoyed. It heartens me no end.

 

I know it's old, but from this, we can take it that Saradomin is in charge/responsible for our current prayer book. Therefore, it's perfectly possible (or even likely) that other gods would have other prayerbooks

But in While Guthix Sleeps where you have to enter the elite black knight lair, when you fight the knights that use protect prayers for long enough they say something along the lines of "No! Zamorak has abandoned me!" and their protection prayers shut off. So (at least for those NPCs), Zamorak provides them with prayer and Saradomin has nothing to do with it. Maybe I'm just rambling, but perhaps there is a chance for prayers to be supplied to other gods with effects that differ from the current Saradomin prayers.

Their prayer is different from player prayers. In fact, it might not even be really prayer.

 

Player prayer is not 100% effective against players. Elite Black Knight "prayers" are.

Player prayer drains based on how long it's active. Elite Black Knight "prayers" drain based on how many times you hit them.

 

Prayer icons have also been used for the Kalphite Queen, for which it only symbolizes improved defense, or for Tormented Demons, which lasts FOREVER while providing 100% protection.

Been in the knowledge base for months.. a prayer update was scheduled for september but got delayed, so it will be high level prayers will bring that new icon.

 

Although the prayers we still don't know, surely it can't be combat related because it'd just get nerfed through players complaining.

Tip.It's clan newspaper Clan Chronicle from August brought a Jagex Moderator interview, which - among other things - revealed that a Prayer update will happen this year. It is specifically mentioned in question 10, for those not interested in reading the whole interview. (There are a few other interesting thing mentioned aswell.)

 

The J mod in question 10 clearly says September.

That icon, my first thought was "White Magic" from Final Fantasy Games. You know, with buffer spells, healing spells etc. I wouldn't be surprised if jagex incorporated that kind of thing in. Like, Level 75: Holy Wave - Costs 15 Prayer points, heal someone by 20% of their HP.

But, I bet it drains your prayer faster than piety.

 

And, it does NOT work with Ancient Magicks ice spells hold duration. So, you'd still be stuck for 30 s if someone barrages you.

It would probably drain faster then piety, and piety allready drains pretty fast.

I've also noticed that Protect from melee/magic/ranged went down to 40% from 50% against Players.

Well I jsut bought 3.6k d bones (they sold instantly at a little below max), enough to get me 72-80 prayer, before the bones go up any higher. I'm not sure if I'll train it yet ot just hold on to the bones till they rise more. I'm debating if I should just train all the way to 85 in case I can't do anything at 80 and I'm stuck when the bone buying rush kicks in.

I do believe it came out around the time chivalry and piety were coming out. Or the mage/range prayers.. or did those come out at the same time? I don't know. But I'm pretty sure that picture was faked around that time.

If you have custom cursors on and hover over an altar you get the same icon..

I'm training to 90 Prayer right now, but I'm afraid that if I use all these dragon bones at my gilded altar, they're going to come out with something better for training... :ohnoes:
