I've been wondering about Bounty Hunter ranks now, and I have a few questions:

1. How exactly does the Bounty Hunter ranks work? Is it like killing your target all the time?

2. How many rating do you get for killing a target? For killing a non-target?

3. Can you be ranked in both Hunter and Rogue?

4. Do you have to risk at least 26k to be awarded rating?

Thank you!

When you kill your target (supposedly) your bounty hunter rank goes up (by 2-3).

When you kill a non target, your bounty hunter rank goes up (by 2-3).

You can be ranked in hunter and Rogue.

I'm not sure if you have to risk to gain rating, but you might as well (26k is a joke, a scimitar is worth 35k)

Thanks for the info, sees!

Oh, and by the way, the risking amount doesn't include your 1 protected item (at least I heard). Still, gonna give it a try.

Bonus XP weekend

Future bonus XP events may well be opened up to free players as well, but we're waiting to see how this one works before making that decision.

They might as well add a "drop all" feature.

all question might as well be answered in there, just read it.

"drop all" which will really ruin it all, however the significant bonus XP only last for 10 hours.

hmm i agree with sees...it does only last for 10 hours, and decreases as time reaches the 10 hours, however its still 2.7x if i believe? TBH, like all the other easy methods of members training, I'd like to see this stay p2p...however, toss me some skillcapes anytime...

Double exp weekend, lots of P2P summoners?

Lots of gold rings needed?

I smell some decent crafting exp + moneys to be made

No...Gold rings are only used for magpies, which are around level 40-50 summoning.

Emerald rings (Made in duelings), however, will be used lots and lots.

Oh and sorry if I replied in a f2p-only thread, but felt like I needed to say something.

Double exp weekend, lots of P2P summoners?

Is the weekend double xp thing for both p2p and f2p, or just p2p only?

P2P only, but Jagex has said that F2P might receive bonus weekends in the future.

I'm not sure the weekends are a good idea at all, though - it seems to be having drastic effects on the economy. For example, rares won't even sell on the Grand Exchange right now; you basically have to barter with items that are useful for the xp weekend, such as oak planks for construction, to get or sell them. I see lots of people with easters trading them for upwards of 100k oak planks. Items with high utility for the bonus weekend are in much greater demand than actual cash right now - I couldn't sell my santa hat on the GE for even minimum price, and my friend couldn't sell his green mask for that either. With the GE crossed out as an option for non-members to sell their rares, and most of them not willing to pay in cash since everything fluctuates, that only leaves them with the option of bartering with other useful items. Unfortunately, there's nothing more expensive than a rare in F2P, not to mention there aren't any items that will have "elevated utility" due to the bonus weekend, since we won't be experiencing it, so we essentially have nothing to barter. You're basically stuck with a rare and have to hope that this whole mess dies down without losing too much money in the process (I say that because rares seem to have been dumped yesterday; again, if you can't sell a santa or green mask even at minimum price on the GE after waiting a full 24 hours, something is up).

I guess we should just keep tabs on how the most popular items fluctuate during (and around) the weekend and see how long it takes for them to stabilize and return to a reasonable price, assuming that they eventually do once it's over, to determine whether or not this is ultimately a good idea.

EDIT: And santas dropped today like I expected. Green masks didn't though.

bummer

Still made 1.5m out of those pesky low level summoners.

I'm still trying to figure out whether this double exp benefits me or not...

Word of advice: get rid of your nature runes now. Also, stocking up on supplies to make bars for smithing, and then superheating mtihril/addy or making steel bars could be a profitable venture (dumping the bars right before the XP weekend).

Same with getting yew logs, limpwurt roots, and other P2P used items.

About the double exp weekend thing, I would love it if they released more of those, but then again, as Adib said, it has an effect on the economy.

Hopefully F2P gets to experience at least one of those.

And the new area... looking forward to that too.

So if i were thinking of superheating a bit

would it be wise to get the raw materials now, but wait 'til the XP weekend to get natures?

I had a chance to buy probably 20k big bones.

Not sure why they are raising, no use for members.

Mithril bars I should have bought 10k or so as well.

Same with death runes, wasn't thinking though about bursting etc :(

You're not the only F2Per buying big bones for training, you know. :P

And why mith bars and deaths?

what he mean is that big bones not an efficient / effective way for p2p to train prayer.

now all raw materials is raising, as some are too high, then other going for cheaper training methods to prepare for the experience weekend.
