I am a bit new to the street prices of these types of items so could someone please explain a couple things:

 

How many Wergali unf could I get for an uncut onyx?

How many Wergali unf could I get for a hook?

Would it be worthwhile to train herblore with wergali unf potions?

Are the street prices of these items stable?

I wouldn't say so. Hooks have been decreasing in value recently, as have wergali(unf) and pawya meat. As far as I know, onyxes haven't declined yet.

 

Not long ago, it would cost 30k to buy a single wergali(unf) pot. Now, it costs about 10k. The hooks are only worth half of what they used to be worth not long ago...

 

So it would not be worth it to trade an onyx for Wergali unf to train herblore with?

 

It's your call. You could probably get 99 Herblore if you were able to trade your onyx for pure cash, but that would require junk in order to balance the transaction. If you trade for wergali, it's like you're ripping yourself off. The item's worth 80M, but you're only getting like 10M worth of experience (which is an exaggeration, but still...).

Red is around 2.75-3 easters; white is around 6-7 easters. That would give:

 

Red: 950-1,050m

White: 1,800m-2,000m

About 3,500-3,800m. Obviously you can't buy blue for cash, and you can't buy white or red for cash either.

Onyx=2 hooks or so.

 

Hook=2k Wergali.

 

So, you could probably get around 4-5k wergali for an onyx, or 2 hooks. Personally, I'd buy your onyx for hook+wergali, if you'd be interested in selling.

red phat and white street value atm?

 

I'd say the red is closer to 2.5-2.75 easters really, but it doesn't matter too much.

 

For white, you'd be better off trading eggs for pump+disk to trade for that, so the egg value is a bit iffy on it.

 

Now street values. Yes edibles have extremely high street values, but they don't represent the street value of the partyhat. Even if someone had the junk, no one in their right mind would pay over 1B for a partyhat besides blue and maybe (big maybe) white. Asking for a cash value on the higher three partyhats is just out of the question really. Edible trades are what run that market anyway and you'd be better off asking for those. This also goes to people trying to find a cash value of partyhats; you'd be better off finding what they are worth in edibles than in gp because it's near impossible to ever find a partyhat under green selling for gp.

If you sold the partyhats for edibles and cash and then turned around and sold the pumpkins and easters for their street value, you'd make a lot more than selling the partyhats for straight up cash. Unless of course you're talking about not having junk, then you're SOL (not staff of light by the way.....). If you really need cash you can trade for edibles because you get cash+edibles for high GE value partyhats :P.

Highly unlikely that the partyhat would even sell for minimum, it will most likely go to someone paying medium/max price.

They would insta sell for max. I know for a fact that there are over 100 blue partyhat buy offers in the GE at any given time. Heck, I know people with multiple offers in for blues so that they can just hold cash in the GE and possibly profit that way.

kudos to the merchants who' bought them. i bet 50-100 people are happy now.

 

simply put, its futile to hope that phats will crash at this time. dumping 100s of phats will only recirculate to other merchants.

These street prices still are off. I've bought and sold red three times this week. Nobody will sell red for 3 easters. The going price is 1 disk and 1 easter, which is well over three easters. I have no idea on white.

 

If someone wanted to buy a red for cash (which nobody does), the cash price would be over 1B. It's easy to calculate. Take the street price of disk less GE price. Add street price of egg less GE price. Then add GE price of red. I'm sure that's over 1B. You're right, though, that nobody has that much junk. That's why you have to build up starting with edibles. But, if you're starting off with nothing but a cash pile and hope to get a red phat in the end, you'll need more than 1B. That's because it will take that much to get the disk, the egg and then to complete the trade for the red.
