3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion

Ok so I figured it was time to clear out my bank a bit- and so I gathered up 2.2m+ in seeds, arrows, and fire runes. I have a Bob shirt (black) that I was hoping to sell off with the junk- is this plausible?

I finally decide to snipe a divine sigil. Camped GE for 12+ hrs. Updates. I get offer in right away. Friends list / CCs crash. GF CS corp.

Lol, sucks to be you. By the way, since cs'd items sell at mid in ge, it doesn't matter if you try sniping it or not. The sigil goes to a random offer. Sniping only works for items actually put into the ge by another person.

CS'd items sell to the player who has the first highest offer. You may pocket the difference but yes you still need to snipe.

That's actually untrue. While arcane ss was bought out a friend of mine put in an offer for arcane sigil not even close to the ge update time without offering for max. It was bought for mid in about 2 hours time and he sold the shield on ge for max 4 hours later.

Yes, but don't. You could buy min in GE instantly, or pay like 90m cash and the rest junk.

While we're on the subject- The ge updated again and divine sigil dropped like 100 gp I believe. My offer now has a ZZZ symbol next to it. Now, if it goes back up, and my offer falls into the range, does my offer have any precedence?

 

EDIT: Look at blessed spirit shield graph. It's dropping hard but generally goes up slightly every cycle. If ZZZ offers still have precedence over newer offers, do you think people actually try buying out spirit shields to raise the price of divine sigil back into their offer range?

 

If so, I might have to buy some blessed spirit shields.

 

EDIT EDIT: Nvm, I see it's based on spirit shields + holy elixirs. But I guess you could still buy up spirit shields. Help a brotha out.

Have you guys ever considered a group of you (you being wealthy tifers) teaming up on a "junk" item to manip in order to make a useful junk item to use on street trades? Just been wondering about the usefulness of that kind of method.

 

 

Also, with new treasure trail items coming out that method seems very relevant because i imagine alot of items from that update will be worth a pretty penny.

 

 

 

 

One last thing (since im a noob mercher this thread really helps me :D)

-Do you see any items rising as soon as the new Elite clues come out? I imagine barrows armor, runes, and most likely brews, sups and ppots will rise quite a bit.

 

While i wont be able to afford merching around the rares to be released, i figured investing in some of those would be a good idea.

To be honest, pretty much anyone who can kill the monsters for elite clues (I'm assuming monsters like GWD bosses and CB to drop them) has the equipment to kill them already so I wouldn't bet on a rise based on 'natural' demand increasing, but maybe from others like yourself that are thinking the same thing.

There will always be players not having the gear at hand at that moment. I think you can focus better on high end normal pots (Super Restores / Brews) to go up a fair bit.

Rocktails might win some ground, but would be marginal.

 

But if you really want to make the moneys, I'd say, supplies for extremes could rise the most, which is convenient as they are dropping at the moment aren't they? (Double check that?). A lot of people that do hunt for them elite clues realize.. hey I need more pots. Also high end pouches/scrolls might win some. Think Yak, pony's and perhaps even Titans.

So Green Masks will probably continue to fall for a bit.

No def not that kind of thing... I was thinking more along the lines of Summoning pouches or something along those lines. This is how it would work (idk just a thought tbh)

 

Steps:

1)Choose item

2)Manip the price of that item privately with a handful of people

3)Get the price of that item to... X

4)Use that item as "junk" to trade off with rares.

 

That way you get the "street" price of whichever rare you choose and you spent very little time "making" the junk. The reason this is different then a regular merch clan is because they would probably be an item nobody sold to begin with. Im pretty sure this wouldnt be at the expense of others either :x although i might be overlooking something from my own plan lol.
