March 14, 201016 yr Hmm, I saw a picture where he was totally made of flesh. Oh well, we'll see within 28 weeks. :P This is the cache image of him "alive" This is the statue in-game just before it explodes Notice that they are exactly the same? March 14, 201016 yr Hmm, yeah, odd that I didn't notice it.Well, it's kind of sad to know that we cannot rescue the poor mage (according to the finds now).
March 14, 201016 yr Perhaps when you finish the replica in your house you realize that you've been putting it together wrong and that's causing some sort of magical overload causing the explosions. So then you do it a 31st time except put him together right and he comes to life and gives you 100M free exp and a phat set.
March 14, 201016 yr Mayhaps after you've finished the replica, you can move the curse over to it, and then you have a live Dahmarok, and an active distraction at the same time?
March 15, 201016 yr Is he pointing at something in the museum or just striking a pose for the camera? If it will tie into the next skill, then what do you think it is? Archeology?

March 15, 201016 yr I think the reward will be something that benefits the new skill coming out and they simply released this to keep people occupied while they create the new skill.
March 15, 201016 yr Notice the entirely different rendering engine? I account the eyes to that. Yeah the cache image in clearly in SD form and with not lighting or texture applied so, as with other monsters found in the cache, theres bits that seem oddly white and the eyes are a bit funky. In-game the eyes and bright white are still there jsut with lighting and textures etc they are alot more blended in Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
March 16, 201016 yr Maybe it's just an endless loop of extra experience for doing normal things in Runescape? With another skill to be released in a few months, just a little something to make the massive game content a little more do-able? Came out near the extra-xp weekend too. Dam a rock sounds like Jagex sense of humour. Who knows could be more, but just could be a built in xp enhancer of sorts.
March 16, 201016 yr Or - since the replica goes inside your house, and houses are really only useful for convenience - after you've gathered 30 weeks worth of rocks, meaning you obtained all the replicated pieces, you put it in your house and you're able to swap between the three magic spell books.

While I really hope this is true, and am trying to get the peices, I'm not holding my breath for this. It seems too wonderful .
March 16, 201016 yr I would love that reward. I haven't changed books in months because I hate switching.
March 16, 201016 yr but 30 months at max speed? i think it will just look nice. if they ever do add any more function the rants forum will go up in flames...In my opinion this seems to be an anti grinding update... but it fails at doing that.
March 17, 201016 yr Well maybe to do higher things you'll need a statue for some reason, I don't know. Makes sense actually, Jagex did say something about having the new skill tie together all existing ones.

Why that does tie in with the NPC, it does not tie in with the idea of Shattered Heart. Remember, it's a minigame rewarding the NON-VIOLENCE aspect of the game. Giving a reward that is directly associated with combat/violence kinda moots the point. Kind of like the other potential spoils I hear about: Dahmaroc's staff, his armour, new spells. All awesome, but does not fit in with the concept. Moreso, it'd be major slap in the face to any skiller who plays this (for whom this D&D is partially intended) to get such a reward: "Congratulations for 30 weeks of dedicated skilling, we'll award you with an ability to change your spellbook (even though you'll probably never use a spell in your life)!" Dragon Drops : 5 Dragon Medium Helmets, 3 Dragon Claws, 3 Dragon platelegs, 2 Dragon plateskirts, 2 Dragon Hatchets, 2 Dragon Spears, 7 pairs of Dragon Boots, 1 Dragon pickaxe, 10 Dragon defenders, 3 Dragon 2h swords, 1 Dragon armour Slice, 1 Dragon armour Lump, 1 Dragon chainbody, 1 Dragon kiteshield, 1 Dragon hasta, 1 Dragon ward, 25 Dragon knives pairsThe Warrior's Blog , Herblore Habitat - Efficient and profitable[hide=Stats and logs].:Adventurer's Log:.[/hide]
March 17, 201016 yr Well, Dhamarok was a master of magic, just not combat magic. Therefore it seems somewhat logical that he would know all of the spellbooks. And, not all magic is combat magic. Only the Ancient spellbook is solely combat, and lunar contains no combat, unless you count vengeance. So, although I don't think that that will be the reward, it is not unthinkable, because magic is most definitely not the purely combat oriented skill you seem to think it to be.
March 17, 201016 yr Plus if there is a reward even remotely useful there will be flames of every sort...people whined about needing a firecape for wyrms... but you can get a firecape within a few hours(by 93 slay you should have the levels)If its ultimately revealed that there is a reward... it will take people 30 weeks.Furthermore if there was a reward to prevent this jagex probably would've told us about a special surprise for completing the replica statue. imo
