jonni
yeah they have reused some models, but like others have said it does look really niceanyway for the benefit of people lower level/can't train, i'll post some screenies [hide]enemy knight in full T10 (promethium) armour (that's good for anyone wondering.) he was really hard to kill but i got a t10 rapier from it (y)sort-of boss fight where that guy heals you (it's actually an npc version of one of the familiars) he says some funny stuff.[/hide] I'm level 32 now, it's pretty fun, maybe a bit slowsome tips - -if you're making a team with friends, people with high mining/smithing are very useful. let them collect money and mine rocks so they can give everyone armour.-if you're not hitting on a monster, try different attack styles such as slash, crush etc.-I highly recommend that you bind a good weapon to you, even get a friend to smith you something good-spears are very versatile weapons as they can use all three attack styles (stab/crush/slash)-don't run off! stay with your party-take it slowly when opening doors or you could end up in a boss room without being properly preparedhope some of that helps and yeah a lot of people are criticizing this skill, and people say it is a minigame to runescape, but instead of whining about it go and post suggestions to improve it or something. Like with summoning, after release jagex looked at how they could improve it and i'm sure they will do the same here.it's only day two, what they have here is a good concept and a good base, now all they need to do is expand it and fix the issues that people have. dedicate your idle computer power to a scientific project. Hajutze
What is the difference in attack between a longsword and a spear in dungeoneering ?Afaik the attack speed is the same, so the spear might be the better choice, but it requires more bars =/
jonni
What is the difference in attack between a longsword and a spear in dungeoneering ? spear will have better stab, longsword is best slash out of all weapon types i think. with spear you also lose shield slot of course, so it's a trade-off. i still think it's probably the best melee weapon to be carrying around dedicate your idle computer power to a scientific project. Kimberly
I'm dreadfully tired of the no-attack glitch. I've had to restart a dungeon several times because when I clicked Attack NPC, nothing happened. And yes, I was wielding a weapon that did'nt require ammo. Are you sure is not just lag? So are you are unable to attack the NPC at all or you can only attack it after clicking several times? 100% positive. This has happened on multiple occasions. I click it once, nothing. Spam click, nothing. Click several times with pauses in between clicks, nothing. I've tried multiple combination. Someone in the HYT chat told me to log out if it starts happening, as it generally fixes the problem. It does. It's annoying.
Hajutze
In long run you don't lose a lot since the 2nd thing you are going to bind is a platebody (at least I am going to) daaaaang I have to raise my smithing up to 79 then =/

Den
I've read the KB articles and I still don't fully understand the basic mechanics of the game. I think I'll just wait until a guide comes out that gives me a rundown of how to get decent xp. The one thing I don't like is that you have to complete a full 'run' before you get any Dungeoneering xp, seems really unfair to those that have bad connections or don't want to spend a long time doing massive floors. This has been confirmed by a Jmod. If you complete most of the floor and dc, you will receive a portion of the experience. I dont want "some" of the exp. >.< I want the full thing and personally I think being penalized for loosing connection or not having 20+ mins to complete 1 dungeon level is dumb. :/ Can anyone even acknowledge if they liked my parody song? I thought it had a good beat, atleast. :P ---------- The skill is becoming more fun now as im getting into it more, but there are still loads of flaws which I think need to be fixed. 1. Binding. You need level 120 to bind 4 items, you need 50 to bind 2, thats just ridiculous.2. Solo Log out reset. People cant kill Jad because of bad connection/not being able to sit b the pc for that long. You compromize this. Now you release a skill which forces people to sit around/have good connection to not get less exp? Doesnt make sence.3. I needed 104 runecrafting to imbue a rock for a statue, wtf? They have these nice tables of fancy potions with fancy names, but they dont care to explain what any of them do. >.< Those are my 3 main complaints at the moment. ........::::: Rainy's YouTube Channel - Rainy's Twitter - Rainy's Facebook - Rainy's DeviantArt - Rainy's Tumblr - Rainy's Tip.It Profile :::::......... 1230abcz
How do you kill the thing that eats in a duo... My friend and I were trying to kill it, and the thing *always* started eating again when I ran back in after dieing... I just logged out after 7 deaths. We had no problem doing a lot of damage while we were still alive, as we were standing in front of the food, but when either of us died and ran back inside, it would start eating again. None of us attacked it as we ran back inside. ... Annoying. Also, if you solo, are you given puzzles/monsters that require more than one person to kill/complete? Let's say I'm soloing. Would I have to fight the Gluttonous thing by chance? Edit: Another thing. How do you "reset" prestige (as in locking it in place once I get a good level)? RussetAlpha
Cant..log..in, who will be the first to get 99? Epic race begins now! <_< Race to 120  99 is master, but 120 is True master. I love this new skill, but its kinda weird as a skill dont ya say? I see it as an activity, but it is a very unique skill. You know how long it'll take to train since your not getting as much xp? A loooong time. and theres sooo much! Can't understand it until you play it a lot. Edit: Yeah Den, the pots are killing me. "Heres some names, figure out which goes to which skill!" brunokiller
Great, found what I thought two knowledgeable tipiters that picked up all the drops and refused to make armour for me because 'it wasn't needed'. Guess who just lost the boss fight 5x in a row. Enough of whining, in other news: They cannot be equipped but the runes do work (they have a different id though). That can't seriously be the only way... You reset prestige on the party forming interface. And the other way is to play with more people. With 3 people there are only two carcasses still, so there's some flexibility. But I like my solution better. And er... whoever answered "make a gatestone," how does that solve the problem at all? The problem is someone needs to stand between the monster and the carcass, a way of escaping that's not dying doesn't help. >.< Want to learn to Nex? The Nex Hunters are recruiting!
