May 4, 201016 yr There's only one thing better than everyone coming together in peace and harmony...and that's everyone coming together for a stonking great fight. This May, we're proud to announce the commencement of the International Fight Knights War Tournament. Communities from all over the world are invited to band together under one of our supported languages, draw their battle plans and then unleash merry destruction upon one another – all in the interests of friendly competition, you understand! Mod LilyRuneScape Community Management According to Mod Johan, the jagex mod who rules the swedish community forums, Sweden is supposedly also a supported country, but is not on the list..
May 4, 201016 yr Holy crap, an actually interesting clan-oriented event. They're finally catching on! EDIT: and changes to clan chats coming soon? God, I'm in heaven.
May 4, 201016 yr For some reason community events organised by Jagex never sound very RuneScape-like or Gielinor-like to me. Jagex Cup....Fight Knight Clan Tournament.... But nevertheless, pretty interesting. I'm wondering if the winning team would get anything? "Do you really want to go back to the time when Falador was grey, lesser demon look like goats, dragons look like cows, hellhound look like cats and your character stands as stiff as a statue?" -F1775
May 4, 201016 yr I think this will be epic... wonder if they'll be able to let in more than 100 people at once for clan wars? 99 dungeoneering achieved, thanks to everyone that celebrated with me! ♪♪ Don't interrupt me as I struggle to complete this thoughtHave some respect for someone more forgetful than yourself ♪♪♪♪ And I'm not doneAnd I won't be till my head falls off ♪♪
May 4, 201016 yr People don't live in Gielnor, they live in the real world. So they'll name things accordingly in order to make them more accessible to people, be it in puns, corniness, or whatever. This isn't a true clan tournament, IMO. The one thing here that still irks me is that Jagex just considers a loose group of people in a clan chat (ie this international idea) a 'clan'. That's not what the community views it as. XD There's a much more intimate and deeper association in true clans. But whatever. This looks cool and I'm not going to get up-in-arms about a name XD I think this will be epic... wonder if they'll be able to let in more than 100 people at once for clan wars? Hope so. They did mention this event would celebrate clan chat changes...God, wouldn't that be lovely! :yikes:
May 4, 201016 yr Called it. But looking forward to the cc changes for sure, especially the increase of members in clan chats and/or CWA (which there is bound to be, otherwise they are shooting themselves down with this). As a clan leader and cc mod I really hope they have planned to improve the remote ban system, so that others than the chat owner can place longer temporary or permanent bans. And place bans after people leave the chat. And rank or remove equal to lower ranks. And... And.. yeah, I have so many suggestions and wishes here. :^_^: You're accusing me of bigotry, how ironic. It's a nice attempt at argument, but your responses are facile and asinine, if not diatribe. Who's arrogant now?
May 4, 201016 yr Where is Canada? What about all the moose lovers? [Guild Wars 2-In game screenshot, the MMORPG you are waiting for. Click for thread.
May 4, 201016 yr Its funny that most of us are getting excited over possible cc changes and not so much the event itself . Sounds interesting, don't get me wrong, but combat isn't really my thing. I'm just getting a little tired of so many combat oriented competitions/content. Still though, its a nice move on Jagex's part to try to cater to clans a bit more often than they use to. So all in all, this competition is a good move...and the CC changes, an even better move  ! ~Retired 13-July-2010~Thanks for the great memories folks :).
May 4, 201016 yr But nevertheless, pretty interesting. I'm wondering if the winning team would get anything? They will probably get the same as the winners of the Jagex Cup got last year. CC changes should be cool. Will be waiting. :P ........::::: Rainy's YouTube Channel - Rainy's Twitter - Rainy's Facebook - Rainy's DeviantArt - Rainy's Tumblr - Rainy's Tip.It Profile :::::.........
May 4, 201016 yr I think this will be epic... wonder if they'll be able to let in more than 100 people at once for clan wars? The norwegian mod, Mod Sommerz said he would run his chat on a "first come first serve" basis. To me that implies th 100-person limit stands. If so, this is a much worse tournament than what the clan world have organized themselves country v country in the past... we'll see what the future holds though.
May 4, 201016 yr Isn't it a bit unfair that one of the teams is 'global stars' and the rest are country specific? Want to be my friend? Look under my name to the left<<< and click the 'Add as friend' button!Big thanks to Stevepole for the signature!^
May 4, 201016 yr I am Swedish myself, and have personally spoken to Mod Johan, and he says Sweden should be included there as well. Looking forward to the battles, shame it's F2P though. 138 Combat as of Summer 2010 - Retired Summer 2010
May 4, 201016 yr This could be really epic guys, as long as the announced clan chat updates are any good. On the Dutch forums people are already talking about waiting lists and whatnot... NETHERLANDS FTW! Due to my epic stats, I have now started WGS (but I still hate spoilers).

May 5, 201016 yr Polish pride  Where is Canada? What about all the moose lovers?Canada = USA Canada is actually in global stars team. also... Go USA/UK Google is evil!Donut!I like pie! That is all.
May 5, 201016 yr Polish pride  Where is Canada? What about all the moose lovers?Canada = USAActually, Canada is part of the International Stars team, which is made up of every other English speaking country that isn't specifically listed. However, this means that most of us in the International Stars team will be segregated majorly by timezones, Hardly any of us "ANZACs" will be able to fight alongside our Canadian allies unless Jagex makes the timezones decent for both of us, but that would leave our competitors at the bad times (like 6.00 am Sunday morning *wink*)
May 5, 201016 yr I'd fight for Good 'Ol Ivan(Eastern Europeans) , but since there is no team of the sort I will fight for battle-ready AMERICA  May your normal strength pots buy well gentlemen.

May 5, 201016 yr Seems boring to me. Are we gonna play soccer or something - Jagex Cup? If i was in charge I'd make names for the events that would be awesome.
May 5, 201016 yr Like some of the other people have said I am interested only in the clan chat upgrades. Anything that helps me run my cc better is welcome :) Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. May 5, 201016 yr The war has all the worst options chosen. FTP? Nty. F2P is much more simple and the majority of the clan world is F2P based, so it makes sense. [Guild Wars 2-In game screenshot, the MMORPG you are waiting for. Click for thread.
May 5, 201016 yr Hopefully the clan chat changes will be some good changes. I don't understand how they got those teams chosen. Putting the UK and USA, the two of Runescape's largest userbases, together? That just screams unequal fight, especially if the clan chat limit is raised. And then as someone mentioned the International Team are going to have some time zone issues which will make it harder to coordinate. :/ Not sure if I'll participate at all but the results should be interesting. May 5, 201016 yr Again jagex falls for the big clans, leaving the regular-players (who play only a few hours a week) completely out! First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me.
