July 14, 201115 yr Yeah, I'll try most things, but I rarely end up liking it. It actually bugs me that I like so little.
July 14, 201115 yr Picky eaters only annoy me when they won't try something that they've never had. If you tried something and don't like it sure, but don't tell me you don't like something if you've never eaten it.Would you eat something that is not usually socially accepted e.g dog, balut (fertilized duck embryo)? 8,180WONGTONG IS THE BEST AND IS MORE SUPERIOR THAN ME#1 Wongtong stalker.Im looking for some No Limit soldiers!

As long as someone somewhere eats it and finds it acceptable I'll usually try it, I just won't eat "dare" foods and such. Tumblr. Follow me!
July 14, 201115 yr I like the vague penis shape that the water takes as it pools. Not sure if that's the effect you were going for there, but it's nice. My skin is finally getting softI'll scrub until the damn thing comes off

If I'd just eaten some sort of meat stew or something, and afterwards I was told "that was dog by the way" I'd probably be a but annoyed, I know that doesn't really make sense, but it's just the way my mind works 99.99999998465% of the world's population is not me, if you are the 0.00000001535% that is me, put this in you signature -"being famous is like being a woman, if you have to tell people you are, you aren't"

Not eating another culture's cuisine or odd foods doesn't seem picky to me, though. The emotional bond between a human and a cow is not nearly the same as that between a human and a dog. "He could climb to it, if he climbed alone, and once there he could suck on the pap of life, gulp down the incomparable milk of wonder."
July 14, 201115 yr But you wouldn't have any emotional bond with the dog that you're eating. It would have been bred at a farm hundreds of miles away from you for the sole purpose of being turned into food, just like every other animal we eat.
July 14, 201115 yr It still doesn't matter to me. Dogs have been raised and bred for hundreds of years by humans as pets, not food. Their purpose is to be a companion to humans. Despite my intense dislike of cats, I can still respect that they are pets and very dear to some people on both a case by case basis and as a species. I could never eat cat either. "He could climb to it, if he climbed alone, and once there he could suck on the pap of life, gulp down the incomparable milk of wonder."

I despise people who eat dog.So if you owned a cow would you be completely against eating beef? That is a ridiculous counterexample. The emotional bond between a human and a cow is not nearly the same as that between a human and a dog. Ahh, the power of social stigma. In certain cultures around the world the cow is seen as sacred - which is a relationship beyond the level of a "house pet" if you ask me. That being said, I'm iffy about eating anything out of the norm. It just seems safer and more practical to eat what's in the highest demand.

Am I still wrong? My point to the cow counterexample was that emotional interaction and dependence is reciprocated between dogs and humans because dogs have been specifically bred to do that. Cows, on the other hand, have not. Clearly the different variations of bovine species have not been bred as house pets or companions. While it is true that in some cultures cows are sacred, there is a difference between a companion and something that you worship. And for the record, I never said it was wrong, I said I despise people who do it. "He could climb to it, if he climbed alone, and once there he could suck on the pap of life, gulp down the incomparable milk of wonder."
July 14, 201115 yr Doesn't that completely run against the idea of argumentum hominem? You've just admitted to hating the person, not the action. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |
July 14, 201115 yr Hate is a pretty strong word. I don't hate them, I despise them. I suppose you're right in that sense, but through despising the action of eating dogs I despise the people that do it. In my eyes, they go hand in hand. Edit: To be clear, I may despise something but I do believe in cultural relativism. Just because I do not like it, does not mean it is wrong for others to do it. I understand that my opinions are not going to influence someone from another culture to change his or her actions to fit my culture. "He could climb to it, if he climbed alone, and once there he could suck on the pap of life, gulp down the incomparable milk of wonder."
July 14, 201115 yr So if Mother Terasa had eaten a dog, you'd despise her, in spite of all the other good things she'd done for the poor and helpless? I'm sorry, I'm just trying to draw out the point that an action that you believe is wrong does not go "hand in hand" with someone deserving to have their overall character called into question with words like 'despised'. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |
