Jabuli
So I heard you can't bank these effigies? is this true? I heard the same thing. I guess it's true then. I think they made a good choice with that for once.

12pure34
Question is: .. Is it worth it to find a high level that can assist you in finishing off the effigie and giving you the lamp? If the reward is like 25k in any skill, then with half an hours work, it could still be well worth it to find someone! Also: Could it be that high levels will lend items to lower levels if they let them assist on the effigie. ;) It is some solid experience for a minute worth of time. Something more then 1 person is willing to 'pay' for. Lending Arma GS 12 hours for 1 effigie?! (example)

Well the other guy just showed that the effigies are bankable so i'd just keep thema: is bank space a problem?b: how long until you're high enough level? xpx
The problem witb lending your skills is the 30k xp limit, even if the guy needs assist for all 4 stages(90k) you get 15k from first 15k from second stage. Surely not worth a major lend, and it's more worthwhile for the guy who owns the effigies. First to 99 Farming on 27. September, 2005.First to 3766 Port Score on 20. Amundogus2
Am I the only one who disappointed that, again, Jagex has blown another opportunity to expand on the lore/canon of their game?Have you even got one yet? You'll find that it does expand on the lore. "There are only two strategies in war. Move forward or change. You'll find that it does expand on the lore.I have to agree with Libs here. The lore amounts to "something bad happens when you do this"It leaves jagex too many open doors, making me question whether or not the developer knows for sure, where he plans to go with this lore. Dire_Wolf
Is it me or is Jagex planning to raise cap of skills to 120? Think about it? Shattered hearts, now "Ancient effigies", XP Bonus weekend, Dungeoneering with lvl 120... And in recent interview response to raising caps was "not yet". There is also the level 120 bug/glitch (maybe result of Jagex experimenting?).

You are reading way too much into some updates. I doubt it's in jagexes intrest chaining everything about the game. The effigies might be good buyable xp assuming you don't waste time locating the person. The max amount of experiance in time an effigie can give is 30 minutes assuming you already have 97 rc... Dire_Wolf
Jagex is just giving out more crap as distraction and diversions. Instead of great quests or new storylines they release these. Courtcase, Shattered hearts and Ancient effigies - what's the use of these? EXP is no good without content.

The Courtcases are minimal enough experience that people would be more likely to do them for the entertainment. At least until batch 2 is released. this link kills spam

The point he's making is that they've done very little to add depth to their game as of late. Especially in regards to the in-game history and events. Golvellius
The real reward must be that mystery thing at the end of the road.It will probably be a token reward, but it can't be any worse than that coming from champions challenge. Anybody know if there is an effigy for dungeoneering?Lmao if they do, hardly anybody will be able to use it till like next year. Den
I dont think its to raise people's level's for dungeoneering, atleast I hope not.If its for dungeoneering, then why make all skills easier to get for those who dont want to do dungeoneering? In the end, it will make exp come faster, which makes them need to pay less for membership to gain the same experience as people who played earlier. What I think the point of these is, is to make levels 90-99 feel like less of a grind. Jagex have had some interviews lately where they go on and on about MMO's being too grind oriented and how grinding exp and medieval gameplay doesnt fit together (even though thats what Runescape is.) In any case, I think there will be an update soon where combat skill exp will be *nerfed* so to speak. (As in getting big amounts of combat exp through skilling possibly) ........::::: Rainy's YouTube Channel - Rainy's Twitter - Rainy's Facebook - Rainy's DeviantArt - Rainy's Tumblr - Rainy's Tip.It Profile :::::......... Jaded
Are these like clue scrolls where you can get only one at a time? I'm so close to the level req.... This really gets down to the morals of cheating versus the morals of being forced to throw away your life [1000's of hours] to access content you enjoyIsn't life about throwing away your life (a job) to access content you enjoy? Sly_Wizard
The good thing? You can have more then one effigy at a time. The bad thing? It's so damn hard to find someone to assist you that is able to assist you.

You bad thing is very subjective. It all depends on who you know; between all my clans mates I have 2 - 3 friends with each and every stat at 97+ so its easy to find someone if I get one I cannot do.
