19-Jul-2010 - Dungeoneering Update

Recommended Posts

I was expecting to see more buyable/unlockable prayers, but I'm sure that will come in time.

Why? Jagex never mentioned that in the BTS and we know that "batch 2" will be coming out much later this year which is what is going to contain those and new floors etc. I don't see why people were expecting that with this update when it's obvious that it wasn't coming.

Stil no other way to get tokens? - What is the point of xp then lol.. (those dungeons aren't THAT good, I think the frost dragons will go the way zombies went)

Well these dungeons have level requirements... so there is a point in getting a higher dungeoneering level rather than just for tokens.

Yup and also remember batch 2 will have higher floors, possibly up to level 99 if not higher. Higher floors = higher prestige, and more XP per round. More xp per round = more tokens. So while it might sound like dry XP now, once those floors are released the extra XP will pay off quite nicely.

The Blaster starts from 12% +2% each level (max 30%)

The Blitzer starts from 10% +10% each level (max 100%)

The Medic starts from 20% +3.33% each level (max 50%)

The Gatherer starts from 20% +3.33% each level (max 50%)

The Artisan starts from 20% +3.33% each level (max 50%)

I'm calling it now: Medic will be the most useful attribute in teams. 50% extra healing is too good to resist.

Only when you heal OTHER players, which nobody really does.

46 minutes at frosts with yak/turm/ovl.

Jeez. Wonder what prices will be when they settle.

Because there was no incentive to do so other than being slightly faster than trading. But with a 50% boost attached to it, I would not be surprised if teams started giving food to a dedicated Medic.

The blazer effect is interesting. when the special activates you get the first hit, and then 5 hits for 10% of the first hits damage. Of course sometimes the 5 hits start before the first hit somehow due to distance.

Intuition says the income @ frost dragons will stabilize roughly @ around what slaying abby demons is these days.

so i'm betting frost dragon bones will stabilize at around 12k-16k gp

I don't think the price of prayer and bones in general will be affected too much, I mean the new dragons are availible only to high level dungeoneerers, and only efficient to high levelled players. That being said, I imagine frost bones will stabilize around 13 - 15k and regular d bones as of current prices will drop a few hundred, because even the new regular dragons they added are far out of the way, and people who can bank with yaks have better money making methods anyways.

Perhaps if you have the Dung level (obviously), Slayer Masters assign these new dragons?

I hope not .. considering the crowd that is going to be at those dragons ... It will be just a waste of 100 reward points.

Any other good drops?

Pfft no. Best ive seen so far is a rune long. Heading back to slay now. They do drop visages though. Mod confirmed it.

what about crimsons and effigies?

oh and that was a really good point about pack yaks that the previous poster made =s

I didn't even think about that.

maybe prices might stabilize slightly higher than i previously anticipated :P
