Celebrating One Year...

 

Some people may or would of known it was our birthday, but this time last year, we opened this clan. It's been a rollercoaster of a ride leading this clan along with Jack (Jc 067), we had our ups and downs but we still pulled strong and proved loyalty within the clan world. Good times being that we pulled almost 90% of our Memberlist 38/49 to where we just prat about and make a complete fool of ourselves on Teamspeak. And, bad times being that we hit our first slump in the middle of the year, but we gradually pulled out of it which was a mission to get by.

 

So, it's our birthday, and what better way to start our Birthday with some fun events! From a Bronze Armour War with Downfall (Almost one year for Downie 0wners Alliance!) to burning down Runescape! Memories will be treasured within the past year, hope everyone who came and gone had a brilliant time within the warring community, but now we have to set targets and focus on these targets to get through our second year. Thanks for the wars within the past year, keep them coming, we love them and thanks for those people who supported us throughout.

Jc 067, Main Leader/Founder

 

 

I can't believe it's been a year. I remember the discussion me and Ash had about opening this clan. It was pretty short but the idea stuck with us and with pure motivation we got the clan open and running within a couple of days. I remember the overwhelming amount of applications we had, mainly from friends but also from people who saw the potential this clan has. One year on, we still have this massive potential but we've improved drastically. We've built up a fantastically strong core member-base with half the clan having been here for 9 months or more. We've gone from being a small TWR clan to being one of the most respected and well known clans in the Tip.It Community, with a lot of bigger clans starting to know about us too. True Ownage has leaped over hurdles in the past year, and I'd say it's been a successful first year for the clan.

 

For me personally, it's really been an important part of my life, but something I really enjoy and something I'm passionate about. I'm willing to put in the hours into the work to help make this clan successful so I know my friends, and some I could call my family are happy with where they are. We may just be another clan on an online game to some people, but the community here is special. I've truely met people, and especially someone that I'd be happy to meet with IRL when we move on. We may have members from Australia to Malta to the UK to the USA but we all find a time to socialise and have fun. And the past year has been extremely fun for me despite the large responsibilites rested upon my shoulders as a Leader of TO.

 

My favourite moments being apart of this clan was when had our rivalries with DV. We had such a close rivalry where we truely hated each other but it helped bring out the best in both of us. I'll never forget when we pulled 39/45 to one of our wars against you, it's a rivalry I'll always remember. And whilst I'm mentioning other clans, I'd like to thank Downfall from being our allies from the start. Almost a year of Downie Owners pride too! Several things from this first year will stick in my mind for the rest of my clanning career, whether it's warring highlights like being #1 on TWR a total of 3 times to silly things like Warria06 losing 100M in one day, being K0ed by Dharoks twice!

 

We set targets for ourselves as individuals and for the clan when we opened. We've surpassed what I expected from us in our first year and now it's onto our 2nd year targets which I'll be thinking seriously about soon, keep it up True Ownage, I'm proud of us all!

Warria06 - Main Leader/Founder:

 

 

So, it all started off with a little chat with Jack and I, wasn't particularly long but it was enough to get us going. The motivation we had when we started this clan was phenominal. Started off with friends joining us which was their entirely their decision then it grew to new members hearing from us.

 

I had all the weight on my shoulders as a Leader/Founder of True 0wnage along with Jack, but it was a good thing for both us, it isn't seriously just a clan to Jack and I, but a part of us. We're known for the quality community we have within True 0wnage to where we're one of the best matched opts clan. Great achievement, but it doesn't end here, it just gets better. We get stronger and stronger day by day, we're heck better than what we were a year ago when we started, but this wouldn't be possible if we hadn't had the commitment and dedication we have within every asset in the clan. Members willing to learn and improve. But it wasn't all smooth, we did have our downs, we did hit our first slump, but we tried our best to pull through which we did.

 

I'm really proud of our members, couldn't have done it without you guys, I'd like thank...Okay I won't drag you on as I already have. Just going to say one thing though just to finish things off, Happy Anniversary True 0wnage, now to seriously think about our targets for our second year!

Minnie 129 - Co Leader:

 

 

I don't think one word can sum up my year in True 0wnage. Yes the year has had it's down, but hell it's had way more ups. Starting as a Future applicant, with my lovely 100combat, going through to member, senior member, high council and now finally co-leader, and 120combat, it's been a rollercoaster of a year, and i have enjoyed every minute of it! True 0wnage isn't just a clan to me, filled with wonderful members, it's a home. I don't think i'll ever be able to be in another clan after this amazing experience. No one person is responsible for this family, because we all rely on each other to get by. I honestly don't think words can put down what an incredible year it's been, but the memories and achievments that i've had will always remind me of True 0wnage. I'll never forget you guys, ever! True 0wnage since 11th August 2009, Once you're T0ed there's no looking back.

 

 

Aevalyx - Co Leader:

 

 

I can safely say joining True Ownage is probably the best decision of my RS career. Upon joining, I definitely had my doubts, I didn't know what to expect. Looking back now, I'm glad i stuck it out and stayed, my time here has truly been an experience that will stay with me for a long time. True Ownage is more than just a clan, a community of warrers or friends. We're a family that's here for each other. Friendships made have a strong enough bond to keep going after all this, Jack :wub: . We've gone through bad times like any other clan has, and we've stuck together and worked hard to keep going and here we are now reaching the day that started this whole experience. I want to thank every single one who has been part of this and help get where we are now. We definitely came a long way and we'll continue to strive hard to reach our goals and to improve.

When I joined in late August I was a trial member, I remember getting 110 cmb 2 hours before I made my application. Ever since that day I have improved majorly. When I got promoted to Council, I worked ever so hard to help out around here as much as I can. Then to a High Council which I started doing more work to help improve the clan with the other staff and I became more experienced with every styled wars and joined in a few teams to help improve more. I remember the first time I've lead as a Co-Leader. It's an adrenaline rush just calling and the feeling I felt when I called my first K0 was unbelievable. :P

All in all, we've made it guys, proud of you all and let's see much more of True Ownage to come!

I was here from day one from the moment the clan began and all the leaders and heirachy had strict goals and ideas that they thought a clan should have and how True Ownage should be seen by others. First of all we wanted respect from everyone else and I think I could say this goal has been reached right on the dot. Perfection was another goal, where we wanted to better the clan in every way possible whether it be in warring skill or how the community ran, we always wanted to improve. Community played a big role in the success of T0. Without the dedicated, loyal members we have now, True Ownage would be no where. Happy 1 Year guys, lets keep this strong.

Cynthia15290 - Head Council

 

 

An experience like none other. To be a part of this clan, this family alone was priceless. The endless banter, laughter, arguments and, the ups and downs of the clan only made it stronger. I started out as a member here and came to rest as a Head Council in T0. The journey in this clan was worthwhile since starting out in it from the very day it began. Being a Head Council in T0 was tough at times but every single minute of it, was worth my time. We, T0 have grown stronger than ever, always together in everything done and in everything to be achieved. I remember how we rosed quickly in TipIt, starting to be come a clan which was feared and respected for its matched wars. Since then, the clan has grown to be known for its beast tanks and its epic warring styles in matched wars. True 0wnage has a story of its own to tell which can't just be told by one person alone but experienced in this clan. The feeling of family and friendship in this clan is something that I have not found in other clans, something that is hard to come by. T0 has become a home for some of us, a place many of us call our own and are proud to be a part of True 0wnage. All memories gained are treasured till the end of time.

True 0wnage, True 0wnage... True Family that is! It's been a blast since I joined the family, couldn't ask for a better clan. Being in True 0wnage made me "grew up" as a good warrer making my skills work to the max, a good person and how respectfull i should be. I remember when i was a little noob member and now look at me, a Council of T0! I'm more than proud to be council and in a amazing clan. I'm very grateful I got to know everyone in True 0wnage, making some awesome friends which i would never change them for anything in this world. I would like to say thanks...thanks for accepting how I am, thanks for being there, thanks for being my friend, thanks for being in my life, thanks for letting me be a part of T0.

Datakins - Council

 

 

It's been a big big adventure this year being in True 0wnage. From Future Applicant, to Member to Council. Best thing I could of ever dreamt of, being in the staff or True 0wnage;

- As Future Applicant I joined on Level 108 Combat, nolifing to 110 which I got in 2weekish.

 

- As Member I worked really hard. From Level 110 Combat to 116~. Sadly I left True 0wnage but ofcourse I couldn't let it, and rejoined True 0wnage on 21-01-10 till Forever.

 

- As Council I worked harder than a Member, obviously. I'm seriously enjoying my rank in True 0wnage 24/7. Ofcourse it was all new for me, some dramatic stuff, some rageness, but I have learned that you just don't give up, you never do, just keep going and you will get there.

 

I love you all, I really do and Happy 1year Anniversary True 0wnage!

 

 

Ichiro - Council

 

 

It's been a big roller coaster ride over the course of the True 0wnage year. We had great high ranks and members leave, but then replaced by other amazing members. There were times where A LOT of people went inactive, and we still managed to get through that period. I first started out as a 104 FA. I then trained up quickly to 110 combat quickly(surprisingly). Next, I got promoted to True 0wnage Council. It was such a pleasure to be a member of T0's hierarchy. My experiences in T0 are just priceless... and I'm sure other members would say that too which has built up lots of loyal members. This is what has lead to what we are today. I'm so proud of how we've risen to become one of the finest TWR clans in matched opts, and we're going to keep getting better war by war. Once you get a taste of True 0wnage, you just can't get enough of it.

 

 

Mardikins - Event Co-Ordinator

 

 

I dont think I can describe what I feel in this clan in words. Joined when 2 good friends recommended me T0 when I had left my other clan as a lvl 113 and trained up pretty fast to 126/138. Of course I wasn't in T0 when it first opened, and i regret that. Anyways, later I was given the role of p2p event coordinator cause im a PvM addict, and I must say I enjoy it. But more than the wars, and the events, I love the community, and I can honestly say its what keeps me addicted to the game. I don't find RuneScape fun without talking in T0s IRC to be honest. I made so many friends, and I dont think I can ever leave the clan and leave my friends behind.

In conclusion: True 0wnage is not a clan. It's a group of brothers and sisters who love and support each other. It's a family. Happy anniversary guys, wish you all the best in the coming year :)
