Everyday we see them, almost everywhere we go. People who are wearing gear completely inappropriate to their activity. People who wear bandos to spirit mages, use a dragon long on mithril dragons while wearing a slayer cape, or even those who wear mixmatched addy and rune....at combat 138. This thread is for all those "What the heck is (s)he wearing?" moments. Remember to obscure names and be sure to include anything relevant to make the situation even more interesting. (Also, please don't turn this into a thread about efficiency, if its just one item that would make them more efficient, its not really funny)

Seeing as he is using them himself I think he does, it's not the best picture to start with but not that bad, only the shield/legs/torso are discussable, the shield is wrong though, unless he uses it for his prayer restore once a day.

Judging from his inventory, he has. But I agree that the setup isn't stupid, definately not worth putting in a thread like this.

I was going to write that in my first post but then I just couldn't be bothered.

 

So what if he had a Falador Shield 3? They're similar to Adamant Shields but have the best Prayer bonus for the offhand slot. He is praying, so +7 Prayer Bonus could be useful to him.

 

But anyway, I'ma shutup now cause I don't want to be the centre of more flamefests (and I've said what I've wanted to say) ;_;

I see a lot of people ranging with D boots. I won't call them out for it, but that's just silly.

I always find it funny when people have a whip, fury, and rune. You'd think if someone has money for a whip and a fury, they could get better armor. But yeah, I agree, this is probably going to turn into - "You aren't wearing elite gear, your a nub!"

 

I don't see anything wrong with mystic and a SoL at Strykewyrms, for example. Dragonhide and a SoL maybe....

I wear bandos and glory at DK's, so yeah, poor example. I just saw someone killing dark beasts with DFS, torso and rune skirt(h), healing with bunyip and soul split, reportedly trying to conserve prayer potions(though he was actually using up more than he would have with proselyte).

That picture with the guy in mystic maging ice maggots is trying to show the wrong choice of a helmet.. If not Slayer helm, Hexcrest is affordable.

unless they are also meeleing at the same time (such as in pking)

most commenly used item sets are useful somewhere, I think the spirit of this thread and a way in which it cannot be locked is we go and find everyone wearing a defence amulet and full addy while maging, not to laugh at someone for using a torso over bandos platebody.
