Jonanananas
Reading 1984 atm - about halfway through. It's a good book....but really depressing and shocking. Often more than some of the stuff like Stephen King that I've read. I'm not sure if I am able to say that I "like" this book....
Dexek
I have been re-reading the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series by George R.R Martin, and am now re-reading the latest book in the series "A Dance With Dragons". These are definitely some of my favourite books. In regards to the above reading of 1984, I enjoyed that book. I read it while I was in highschool, so I wasn't exactly eager to spend my time reading, but once I got into it, I found the idea behind it to be very "outside the box". Duff
I read Atonement by Ian McEwan as a final book for my English class. It was a shocking book, to be honest. Kinda uncomfortable to read. It had a really neat twist in the end that pissed me off but at the same time, made me respect the author even more. I've never seen the movie, so I didn't know what to expect at all. I like it better that way, too. Similarly, I never had seen an actual Frankenstein movie, so the book was all the more interesting to read. | My Tumblr |

Monk
Just after reading a book called "The Alchemyst: the Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel" by Michael Scott (An Irish author). Holy crap, I'd forgotten all about that series. I read the first 2, but then my high school's library didn't have the others so I didn't bother keeping tabs on them. Currently halfway through Inheritance. It's a good book so far. Crocefisso
I've just finished The Hermetic Tradition. Must say, it was a very strange book. unkn0wnwarrior
I'm currently re-reading The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, a Trilogy in 5 Parts. I'm about halfway through the last book and still loving the series. After that, I think I'll read Starcraft: Ghost: Spectres.

I found it somewhat lacking compared to the first four which were really great.
Duff
Older sister lent me her Kindle so I could read some of the books she suggested. Among them are The Hunger Games and Ready Player One. I've also managed to find that she has some of the Star Wars books on it, which may be a bit interesting to read for fun. I'm all set on books for the winter break. Gonna ready Ready Player One first. | My Tumblr |
Sally
Just finished reading Abandon by Meg Cabot. It was actually pretty good (and kinda morbid, compared to her other books this new series looks quite dark). Now I have a choice of 3 more books to read (which I have borrowed from my local library) before I go back to my very large pile of books. Crocefisso
Reading Kenko's Tsurezuregusa: Essays in Idleness. In spite of being from the 1330s, it's more civilised than most books published today. tripsis
I finished all the Hunger Games books! [hide=Spoilers]Throughout the other books, it really bothered me how she kept switching between Gale and Peeta romantically and couldn't decide which one she actually "loved" (if either). I was pathetically hoping that she'd finally make up her mind and choose one... but by the end it really felt like to me she chose Peeta by default and actually had to learn to love him, rather than actually passionately loving him in a romantic way.[/hide] - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
Duff
Just finished Ready Player One. Extremely interesting book. Definitely one I would suggest to TIF users and really all video game players. I'll probably start reading some of the Star Wars books for fun, just to see if they're any good. | My Tumblr |
The Observer
Finally finished Oryx and Crake. At first I didn't think it was going to be a good book, but it actually is. Serpent Eye
Scratch the Star Wars books. I had no idea there were so many, and that there were so many different authors. :\IKNOWRIGHT. Whenever I browse the Science Fiction section, I always think to myself, "Hey, I should pick up a Star Wars book..." and then I see that there are like 80 different series by different authors, and I have no idea if the series are all connected, and if so, which one is the first book? And if they AREN'T all connected, which should I read first then?!?
