If summoning charms were tradable...

If charms could be traded, which would make summoning very fast for some, how much do you think they would be going for? A few thousand for blues? A couple hundred for golds? Alternatively, how much would say, 50-99 cost just in charms? Would it be at the level of herblaw and prayer or down with firemaking and cooking?

What would you be willing to pay for charms?

If summoning charms were tradeable, summoning would just be an uber-expensive and fast skill to train. Collecting the charms yourself makes you put some WORK into it, outside of running to and from the obelisk, which really isn't work, at least not with the exp rates you get.

Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. (At one point.) 2000+ total. 99 Magic.

Buying spins make you a bad person...don't do it. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.

Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:

your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupine

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

gold: 100gp

green: 50-150gp

crimson: 800gp

blue: 2k+

I think it'd definitely be more.

Consider how much players pay to get 99 prayer afterall.

if players are willing to pay 5000 gp for dragon bones for 252 prayer xp

I don't think they'd pay as low as 800 gp for crimson charms for 300+ summoning xp.

Similar logic for blues as well.

100 crimson charms per hour * 800 gp = 80k gp/hour for camping waterfiends afterall.

That's rather pathetic. I'd imagine income rate for camping them (which would inevitably occur)

I'm not saying that crimson charms will become 5k gp each to translate waterfiends into a 500k gp/hour money maker

As players do get a lot of charms just from slaying, whereas they don't get many bones from slaying.

But I'd definitely put crimsons at over 3000 gp each.

People are already willing to pay something like 3-4k per Crimsonpower by doing Rock Lobsters. Which is something like 150-200 Crimsonpower/hour. So imagine what people would pay for being able to go the the GE, type in 40,000 Crimson Charms, put the money in, and get them in a day or two tops.

Instead of being tradable I think a better "solution" would be for that you could trade charms up at an NPC.

Something like 3 Gold -> 1 Green, 3 Green -> 1 Crimson, 3 Crimson -> 1 Blue.

That way you don't "gain" any experience from doing this, you're just speeding up the process and making all those gold charms worth picking up. 9 Gold per crimson and 27 gold per blue seems fair to me.

if those numbers are right, then crimsons would be worth about 28-37k (holding secondaries' costs fixed).

This is a really good idea.

I'm still picking up every charm & as such my 'collection' continues to grow - maybe this way my 30K+ golds will actually have a use. I do feel that the next 'skills' to have the level cap increased will be summoning & maybe slayer & therefore the charms will become useable again.

People already pay 4-5k per crimson, if you factor in the time saved through buying them they would go up to 10-15k easily.

PM me in game anytime

It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet.

That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying.

But you also get decent magic + hp xp, so it's a bit lower.

Depending on pouches, summoning is now under 10 gp/xp for the most part. Since it's also extremely fast xp with crims and blues, I'd say they'd be 10k and 30k each, with greens still at 3-4k and golds at 1k each.

This, def + summ pures pay ~5k each for crimson lootshare at rock lobsters. Getting them without the hassle would easily put them into the 10-20k range. I guess the richest would buy out blues for 50k each maybe?

My lame drops:
6 Effigys
1 D Med - 1 D Dagger
1 Verac's Helmet - 1 Guthan's Platebody

yes i would say thats a very good bet on the price, maybe not 50k though as thats kinda more exspensive then most pouch meterials anyway.

(until all the merch clans jump on them <_< )

Lets see.

If charms would be made buyable then killing monsters would circulate the money much more.

Something tells me that's good.

But eh, already 99 summoning so meh...

Also Bladewing, You've seen what these manipulator clans can do. It is possible.

Jagex could have just set them to a locked price like spirit shards though.
