Nvm, got it working. Some stupid thing where Steam wasn't downloading some update, had to reinstall for the 5th time.

How's the demo so far? I haven't pre-ordered it so I'll have to wait until it becomes available to everybody, counting down those days. <_<

 

But I'm working on finishing up the last of the L4D achievements, only two left; 20-Car pileup and nothing special. :cool:

It's an absolute upgrade of L4D1 in every way. The weapon you hold is a little too far to the right though, and the graphics seem a little pixelated. I'm assuming I either have to set my resolution or wait and see if they fix these things somehow.

 

The gore has been seriously amped up. I shot an infected in the stomach and noticed that there was a see-through hole going right through it, organs and all.

 

Good job, Valve, you truly are the best PC devs :thumbup:

 

PS: The epic writing on the walls comes back! Found this in a saferoom.

Yeah, it's coming out for the 360 as well as the PC.

Just looked at a comparison of the Aus-version to the uncensored one, and Jesus Christ, it sucks. D: I mean, c'mon, the bodies despawn as you kill them, there's like... no blood whatsoever. It's like you're shooting styrofoam cutouts instead of zombies. I mean, it's less gory than the first one.

 

I saw a post on GA Forums about how to trick Steam into thinking you're from NA or something, giving you the uncensored, but I really cbf until it ends up being something similar.

i wish the demo was longer, that's the only thing i was really disappointed about. other than that it was all fine and dandy. boomer bile is sweet as a weapon.

Set Z_health to like 500,000

Don't use melee weapons.

Set Z_boomer_limit 0, Z_tank_limit 0, Z_Smoker limit 0, Z_spitter_limit 0, Z_Charger_limit 0, Z_hunter_limit 0, Z_Jockey_limit 0

Some of these commands are probably off, but it's not hard to figure out.

Or any of the other mods that try to get a 'classical zombie experience'. It's fun for awhile, but the fast paced action > the slow increase of panic as you realize that the zombies just keep coming and coming and coming.

I finally got around to beating the 4 Left 4 Dead campaigns, and I really enjoyed the game. I only had one problem, and that was too much ammo. It really feels like an action game, because a survival horror imo is scarce ammo, lots of zombies, time to improvise. I never had one of those moments, but it was still fun.

After playing the L4D2 demo I've noticed you have to improvise a fair amount more then the first game. Ammo is quite a bit more limited, I found myself switching guns almost every chance I had in order to just make it through a level. I'm use to using the shotgun, so when it comes down to having a 2/3rds less ammo, makes it a bit more tougher. Lucky for having melee weapons. Expert is a bit much with AI though.

Then you proceed to turn a corner in or outside of a building, and in your face is a tank, with your flashlight squarely on their face as they do their little but frightening grunt that craps the pants out of anyone.

Or alternatively, when you DO hear the tank, and it spawned above you and jumps down to rape you.

How about changing 2 text files and setting them to read-only? Because that's what me and my friends have done. Gore ftmfw!

 

Got a kill with the Deagle and when I went to the corpse, there is NO flesh from the chest up, it's so gruesomely awesome.

I am not going to school tomorrow cause Math was cancelled and I don't feel the need to go to the other two classes. I may try to stay up and finish a campaign walk through after release, so if anyone wants to hit me up I'm Arkheart on steam.
