Seems you can claim the rewad from the token no matter where you are.Can only claim the special items/moves for the sidekicks from the signposts where you start the trekks.

August 17, 201114 yr New Nature Grotto Event is kind funny.You right-click him to get "water power" Then douse the flames that spread around the ring of plants at edge of his island, doesn't seem to be failable and gives no xp. August 17, 201114 yr It's possible if you do 1/2 the event(1 of 2 vyrewatches) or by going at the start point, choosing the same companion then resuming the trekk.There's a change you'll get a different event. Ghasts become visible/attackable if your companion hits them. Can claim multiple construction items(have 5 boots at the moment).

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

I had two full sets on me, and an incomplete set, just missing the trousers. I dropped my two trousers that I had and was able to get a third one.
August 17, 201114 yr Done 4 lumberjack events now without any clothing dropped. Not sure if it's bad luck or what. I have 6 boots and 2 trousers in my bank.

August 17, 201114 yr Took for today to finally complete my 3rd set, it's taken years haha! Sounds like the construction gear is easy enough to get multiples of, so I'm happy about that. I'm enjoying this mini-game now, make a bit of money, unlock some neat little things and also having...fun :o
