MotherBrainII
Do we know how Storm of Armadyl interacts with the staff yet? If it's capable of hitting 450 even without it and the runes are even remotely affordable, it could very easily surpass barrage in many places. Since it's a god spell, I wonder if we can affect it with Charge somehow.

Ezkaton
Tried a trip to Glacors: Start: End: I only killed 3 in 10 minutes using CMaul, killing unstable and sapping first yet chewed through a tonne of brews. Might try maging... Zerker_Jane
Just a load of crappy gear for mains. What's the point in making a quest only mains can do :thumbdown:Because pures are so 2007? ^ A lot older than that. 99 farm easy
MotherBrainII
A lot older than that. The point is that pures are intended to abuse the combat formula -- it's foolish to expect updates to revolve around your attempts to do so. Jagex's policy, which is and always has been quite a sensible one, has been to ignore pures. If your build is now locking you out of useful PKing content, then it's no longer the optimal one and you need to adapt accordingly.
Kirschen
I just finished with the ice titan stage but on the ice demons that followed, I almost got maimed in under a minute. Any tips to dealing with that fight stage (where Sliske comes in with the brothers)?
Z_Berenice
Pictures time As for the quest By far the best quest I've done, I kinda feel bad for Jhallan but I kind of expected him to be the next appart from lucien dying in one way or another. I'm still unclear about what was Azzanadra's plan with the beacons, was it merely some sort of attack or he actually tried to bring back Zaros? Guess we won't know for a while since that part was interrumpted by the dragonkin, was waiting more from lucien against them but guess he had it coming, kind of ironic how he died by the same weapon that made other a god lol. I'm sure that it was the beacons actually that continually boosted our power to 195 (if you're maxed melees) throughout the time you are on the plateau... Unless of course that is the stone of Jas power; but I wouldn't think that, based on the way it worked in WGS. And yeahs it's probably just some sort of attack. If they really wanted to they could make your attack/strength/defence have to be within 5 levels of each other. But they didn't, because they want to see different builds. What's the fun in playing the game the same way as everyone else? We need some more 40 defence gear; tanks got their pernix/virtus [cabbage] and mains can access everything. 99 farm easy
Dragonlordjl
Lucien was only level 750? I'd have thought more of a "god." Also, the rest of the Mahjarrat aren't nearly as strong as I thought they'd be, either.

What's the fun in playing the game the same way as everyone else? I never said they actively wanted to shut down pures. Just that they're ignoring them, as in, not specifically catering to them. Like I said, there's something wrong when a build intended to maximise PKing efficiency needs to campaign for specialised updates in order to keep that build being efficient. If you're trying to maximise PKing efficiency, it's your job to adapt to changes, not for the game to keep the status quo in place. We need some more 40 defence gear; tanks got their pernix/virtus [cabbage] and mains can access everything. ROFL. There's far more gear at level 40 defence than at any other level, except arguably 70. Besides, most pures don't have 40 defence, so this is really just you whining that the update doesn't cater to your very specific brand of combat formula abuse. Also, the rest of the Mahjarrat aren't nearly as strong as I thought they'd be, either. They get stronger after ------- is sacrified actually. Nevertheless, Lucien never achieved godhood or was even close to it, he simply had too much power in his hands, the Zarosian mahjarrats were able to do as much as him if not more during that fight, and none of them refer to themselves as gods, regardless of the level. By far the best quest I've done, I kinda feel bad for Jhallan but I kind of expected him to be the next appart from lucien dying in one way or another. I think the source of that boost was actually the sone of Jas, it was juse mere paces away and the journal does hints that the "left over" power that remains around there is the reason we get a boost when fighting in that place. Was just wondering about Azzanadra's intention since he quoted Zaros, altho you're probably right, maybe it was just some sort of attack he managed to contain, since he can speak directly to Zaros anyway. Kimberly
This is not a discussion for pures and their virtues/disadvantages. If you want to discuss it, create another thread or rant about it in the Rants board. Keep it on topic; continued arguments will be removed. Pete Party
Does any1 know if mining is boost-able in the quest or do I really need to get 76? MotherBrainII
Does any1 know if mining is boost-able in the quest or do I really need to get 76? It's not boostable. I tried it, and you need the natural level. I assume the same goes for crafting.
