With this tool belt, it will let you 1 click burn logs....This will speed up dropping logs massivly I assume, if you can spam click the logs before a new one can light, they will just end up as a pile on the floor.... Good unintentional update pls?

Awesome. I can now store 30 more effigies in my bank.

 

Does this mean we can also just keep all of our coins in our pouch at all times with no risk whatsoever? That means 31 more effigies.

 

Can tools in the tool belt be lost?

Well it might be more than 31 since the bag will take all the different types of money and the tool belt will take all tools, so likely to be a good bit more than 31.

 

It just says coins and doesn't suggest other forms of currency or even game tokens.

 

I think it would be a good step if they just stored all tokens or currency for minigames at the minigame itself, like how PC and SW do it. PoE, CW tickets, and GoP/FoG tokens all come to mind and that's 4 spots right there.

 

I'm interested in what is considered a tool and how exactly you use your toolbelt with things your inventory.

Pitty the new rogues den sounds like its competitive against fellow players. That sucks some of the joy out of my non competitive personality. Ah well.

 

The bank spaces should be nice, since I am pretty much operating on a full bank right now, and the spaces would relive some tension. Also nice that coins won't have to hog an inventory space much longer, though you'll never be able to convince me to keep all my money on hand, no matter how risk free that's supposed to be. My money stays behind a bank pin, just in case. Same thing for the tool belt (at least for the gilded dragon pick). Would be neat if they add a bank pin to the wallet. I can see that being an after release thing though.

 

Can't believe we are getting another freaking pet for Christmas though, especially since they booted the turkey pet out of the toy box. I already have 16 pets in my menagerie (I dropped my pet rock there rather than store it). All holiday pets need to go in the toy box. The event itself sounds like it will be good for a laugh though, which I am looking forward too.

 

I'll wait and see on the loyalty stuff. I guess I'll hold off on spending for now, until after Christmas to see how many of those bonus points days I can pick up. Aren't the 12 days of Christmas supposed to be before the 25th? Or am I being crazy?

I'll still be storing my money in the bank since I go into the Wildy every so often. (Penguins and Bork) It says the money will be lost on being PKed, as usual, so I'm not chancing it.

 

Also, the twelve days of Christmas are after Christmas. Way back in the past, that was when Christmas celebrations took place. Christmas itself was purely religious. The things I learn while reading about Henry VIII. Okay, back to our regularly scheduled RS talk. :thumbsup:

 

I'm looking forwards to quite a bit. The extra bank space is nice although I was figuring on fifty. But thirty's good too. It'll let me keep a couple of outfits I use often in the bank instead of going to my house all the time to get them. It'll also let me have space to store outfit pieces as I work on getting them. I have Rogue's Den mask and want the rest of the outfit to store it. I'm also interested in the new RD outfit. I'd like to get it before March if at all possible. Yes please, to xp for making unfinished pots and 4-doses.

The tool belt won't let you store hatches and pickaxes I imagine as they actually have a use outside of being simple tools. It'll be things such as the standard farming gear (rake etc.), tinderbox, knife, hammer, shears, chisel and probably a couple of other things I'm forgetting (maybe fishing equipment too). So there'd be nothing worth stealing from it. Would be awesome if it was usable in dungeoneering too, would save a lot of space!

It says money kept in the inventory will be lost in the wilderness, doesn't specify if that means the pouch or not. Guess we'll have to wait for clarification on that but it wouldn't surprise me if it's in your money bag it's safe, even if you're in the wilderness.

Also for ppl yammering about coins lost on death:

I'd say its clear pouch = safe.

They define pouch is NOT part of the invetory

And coins are always safe UNLESS in invetory in wild.

 

As for toolbelt not storing pick and hatchet it does say all resources are 1 click now, so no need to withdraw a tool for use. To my eyes resources are what you get from gathering skills aka fishing, wcing and mining.

Conversation Update

 

We are upgrading the main chat panels you see when interacting with NPCs. Weve gone for a modern, fresher look, while still retaining something unique and fitting for RuneScape. These upgrades are not just graphical: youll be able to use number keys to select from multiple chat options AND press the space bar instead of Click to continue. You can even hold down the space bar to fast-track through conversations.

I noticed that too, seems like the Jagex marketing team is going full force and I guess you can't really blame them. F2P still gets some fixes, a graphics update and an event though which is pretty nice.

 

They don't have to be restricted in marketing members to be the number one free game, they just have to respect and look out for their free community as well.

Holiday events have had members only items/parts for what, 4 or 5 years now? It's nothing new. Just more complaining from the usual suspects for no good reason.

Really nice updates, tool belt & money bag will be extremely handy, bank space is always good (no more round trips to POH to go mining), conversation update sounds great, +6k loyalty points serves to make things a little more even (since it favours newer subscribers), graphical updates to the wilderness sounds great (some of the best scenery is there already), the loyalty rewards will be interesting. The only thing I'm not sure about is the Rogue's Den, but I like how Jagex joked around the cooking training :P.

 

By the end of this month the people who saved all their points should have 48k loyalty points.
