anyone else thinking salvation/corruption+bone crusher is amazing for slayer (the prayer restore from gaining prayer xp) or am I misreading?

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.
...
It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

According to RSWiki (the good one) the wings only restore 3% of your max prayer points every 500 prayer xp you gain. So for example, I would get 25 prayer points (at level 85 prayer) every 7 dragon kills. That's like 3.5 points per dragon. And that's assuming you'd rather bonecrush dragon bones instead of collect them. Don't remind me that most monsters drop lower level bones...

Doesn't seem very good, or at least at tier 1.

Can you combine it with the bonus exp from an urn?

Not being particularly involved with the metagame, I'd assume it's still better than no aura.

The loyalty store makes it sound like you get 3% every time you gain xp, which is significantly better. Can anyone confirm either way?

the question isn't whether its better then no aura, its whether its better then (greater) reverence. Figure by the time I start playing daily again I'll have enough to get something thats useful for slayer/MHing now, and then get JOT once I start playing regularly, so I might as well get something that helps with slayer now.

A great update according to me. I really like the toolbelt and the moneypouch, and several of those auras looks very interesting. Sadly I have spent quite a lot of my loyalty points recently so it will probably take a while until I get any new auras. But I look forward to testing them out :)

Sooo you can't take tools out of the toolbelt?

It sounds like having a knife and tinderbox in your toolbelt at the same time makes Fletching and Firemaking more annoying..?

I'm too nervous to add any damn tools to my belt now.

>.<

Edit: Found the answers in a different forum. :P NVM.

I hate it when people ask a question on forums, then post saying they found the answer without mentioning what the answer is because they think that they're the only one who wants to know.

Lol.

Jagex needs to add a way to take items out of the toolbox and it will be perfect. Well, except for ruining some novelty skilling items.

If it wasn't for firemaking, I'd almost think it would be better off if the toolbox added item storage and we had to take the items out to use them. Tbh, add the long awaited Burn-X then do that :P

The Halloween '11 music track is now unlocked on login.
They relented ;)

Is nice.

Tier 1 Corruption Aura if anyone's interestedCorruptiont1.png
What's the recharge time? How long do they last for? There's no info on that on the loyalty shop screen, are they permanent while equipped?
Lasts for 1 hour and takes 3 hours to recharge, and no the wings don't last after the aura depletes.
WHAT IS THE POINT OF ALWAYS HAVING A SPADE ON YOU WHEN YOU CAN'T [bLEEP]ING USE IT AT BARROWS @@@@//rageYes, caps lock was necessary. No, you can't take the spade OUT.
Well that'd be pretty hard to implement, I mean you'd have to have the option of digging everywhere, whereas its use in farming doesn't use the dig function.
Simple solution: be able to take items OUT of the toolbox. Another thing, if you put in tinderbox and no knife, you get left-click firemaking. If you put in the knife you have to right click. Know what would solve this? Taking the knife out of the toolbox. Ohwaityoucan't.

What about making barrows like farming patches? A "patch" you have to dig at the top of each barrow? Or would that break something I'm not thinking of.

Barrows could work... stuff like clues, not so much.

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

Although it's a great (though currently buggy) update, I think there was a missed opportunity here. Personal opinion, but it would have been cool if tool belt slots became available based on completed quests and tasks, or maybe even have it be it's own thing such as a handyman mini-quest. Given the great benefit the tool belt offers, I'm sure it'd have been a popular mini-quest.

It's the same opinion I had that POH locations should have had quest restrictions (such as Fremminick or Duel quests for those areas). Yeah, the locations are cool, but I felt not having the quests being a pre-req took away from things such as the lyre or watchtower teleport.

Still a great update, and hopefully they'll have the bugs ironed out.

Hi all,

A few of you have been worrying about the effects the toolbelt has had on various other game objects and people with similar benefits. These include farming leprechauns, the tackle box from Fish Flingers, adventurers' kits from Mobilising Armies, and more.

It's true that some of these things are not as useful as they were before the update, and that some of them are now little more than normal tools. There wasn't time to sort these features out during the development of the toolbelt, but we're going to keep an eye on them and look for opportunities to update them in future.

Thanks,

Hew

Do slavation/corruption have emotes on them?

At Ge yesterday some guy kept doing this emote where like a red demonic sigil pattern appear on the floor then a ghostly black demon thing with red eyes rose up roared and dived back into the ground and I can't say I've ever seen that before!

Edit: duh! it was infernal pwoer emote, total blonde moment on fact they added more emotes!

Why wouldn't they have had time to sort these out over the development of the toolbelt? It's been in development long enough to flesh out usefulness and iron out conceptual bugs.

SC tools *do* override toolbelt, right?

Otherwise, I'm going to be able to store soooo many more effigies with this update :shades:

Also how does the tool belt affect things like quests where you have to use a tool on a spot? (eg. using chisel on gem throne, pickaxe on wall, mix random ingredients). Have all of those been accounted for?

Have there been any mod posts about removal of items?

In terms of quests adding to the tool belt:

A good one to slip in would be fairy tale part III unlocks magic water can slot. Normal can couldnt go on for obvious reasons (it gets used up), but no reason magic couldn't since its perma full and all you need do is add a "water" left click option to allotments that are planted and to seeded plant pots etc.

Also a nice tweak in terms of digging issues:

Make dirt mounds ontop of barrows with dig options

Make that key from meeting history*, clue scrolls* and quests create a temporary area with dig option.

Eg like a 10x10 area around where co-ord clue lands you'd get a right-click dig option show up on the ground

*Both these culd work with dig option dirt mounds too that spawn when you check key/co-ords on the right square

I got the Lolcano & Divine Power Emotes :shades:

Didn't need the 30 Extra Bank Spaces (ZMI) so had to go get some Seeds & Buy random stuff from GE.

The Toolkit is nice & don't like the Money pouch.

I got Google Chrome to get the Goggles after seeing the Emote. Got it on 40 Accounts so far :^_^:

That would be interesting, but I could see it being difficult or confusing since you can't remove items from the belt. You'd have to have some way of keeping track of what keys you have or don't have, and you'd have to be able to add keys to the belt like any other tool.
